I was using my magic flight box as normal yesterday, and suddenly inside was like a HUGE vapor storm (it was actually on fire). I opened it as quickly as possible and stopped the flame - its left a burn mark but it ''seems'' to be OK.

Anyone know what happened? Never done that before...

I combusted mine a few times when I first got it.

Are you turning it upside down and shaking it up after every hit? That seemed to fix it for me. Otherwise could just be preheating it to long before you draw or attempting to vape at too high of a temp?

FUCK. I just came home to my launch box chomped in half. Apparently our dog got into the drawer where I keep it and had herself a nice doggy snack of battery, abv, and MFLB.

Anyone know if there are any discount codes floating around so I can grab a new one?

That is harsh! In half? Ate through the wood?

Did all of Magic-Flights secrets plumage onto the floor as if rainbows and pixies had touched the earth with a faint haze of glamour and yeah.. i'm kinda vaked ha

Anyways, I am getting "buildup" around the front of my LB (around the hold basically), not to sound too sexual that is... Anyways lets just say that it is kind of gross and thick, I am guessing it is dead skin cells from putting my lips up to it, but I can scrape some of it off with my nail, but not completely. Has anyone had this problem? This is my replacement MFLB, and the first one was completely different, the box was bigger and brighter than the one I have now.

Let me know what you guys think and if anyone elses box has experienced this issue

After months of almost non-stop usage (5-10 trenches a day) my box has a shiny cover of goo under the trench, all the way to the indicator light. In good lighting conditions and with an empty trench you can clearly see how thick and shiny it is, almost looks like tar.

It didn't really affect the box's efficiency, though it does seem to run a bit cooler than in the first two weeks.

I think you don't need to worry about it.

Edit: ah, you mean on the outside of the box. I'd just wipe that off with a wet cloth, probably saliva and cells from your mouth.

trying to scrape it off can make it look worse... i use the zapolish that came with my mz on the box and it
makes the "buildup" go away/hides it etc...

On Amazon I'm getting confused as to which are the right batteries. Maybe someone could help. Everyone keeps mentioning Powerex 2700's and I see a four pack for $12.99
http://www.amazon.com/Powerex-2700m...5VVM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1296062103&sr=8-2

and another for $40.99.
http://www.amazon.com/PowerEx-Recha...AM/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1296062515&sr=8-20

Are these the same batteries or am I missing something here? Also, do you need the charger below for them?

Amazon is really fucked up in this way as there are some products that are ridiculously priced. The 40.99 is in error. Your first link is the correct one.

Wow!! I wonder if that one link is a rip-off or is misprinted. The $12.99 one is priced in ballpark and are the correct batteries.

Those are the exact same Powerex's I got from Thomas Distributing. They work very well IMHO and were cheaper at Thomas Dist. too and there is a 5% off discount code on the net too :)

Lo, if you factor in the shipping costs from Thomas, even with the 5% discount code, isn't the Amazon price lower?

I didn't look for the 4 pack of batts Lwien but when I bought mine I got the MAHA charger w/ batts and with shipping Amazon would have been free but the cost would have a couple dollars more total. I always price shop lol.

I can't remember what I paid for these Energizer rechargable NIMH's I got locally but I'm REALLY liking them lately. LSD 2450mah, a little skinnier than the powerex batts. The powerex are much easier to peel with no glue. The energizers were a bitch to clean.

iso will make that process much much easier and a small towel so you can apply the iso then rub it off with the glue :)

Well, I finally bit the bullet and got a Launch Box. Went and picked it up on my lunch break. Looks like I got a lot of reading to do now.

I tried it on my way back to work and combusted already. :/ I got a few hits out of it before that but nothing spectacular yet. I'll do some experimenting tonight.

OMFG the energizers I bought when I first got the LB were a peeling NIGHTMARE

If I remember right I had to do more than one goo-gone treatment

The powerex are damn near made to be peeled!!

this duracell goo is isopropyl/acetone resistant. and the native charger for the duracells heats its own batt. up fiercely, so I'm sticking with the magic flight charger.

Hey, I just got my first replacement MFLB. Loved my first one, but it got to where I couldn't get any airflow thru it. So they sent me a new one. Well, this one doesn't hardly deliver a decent hit at all. Seems not to heat up as much. Anyone else have this problem. It has ensured I hardly use my box at all anymore cuz I have a decent tolerance ... need at least 4 hits of top shelf in my SSV to get where I need to be ... so now that my new box delivers such tiny hits, I'm not sure what to do with it. Any suggestions?

I noticed the less decent hits, as well. I can't say for sure, but it seems the newer models just don't run as hot. It might also be time to buy new batteries-- after using your last LB so much, the batteries might of just died! Another idea would be.... to take a tolerance break, your tolerance might be the only problem. Btw, how does the PD perform for you with such a high tolerance?

what is that extra hole in the back for. Sometimes wasted vapor is shot out through mine, whats going on

That's what she said.

Its just a extra hole for increased airflow if you mean the one on the top right (1) Then that is just a sloty for where the air will get in.

If you mean #2 then that is just a hole used to help insert some of the wire into the box that makes it work and has no connection at all to the actual bowl where you draw vape from.

I have been lurking (while registered on this site for a few months. I did a lot of reading and I must have sent the link to the site to about 20 friends!!! I am quite happy to be a part of this community! I just ordered my MFLB, I have had an Iolite for about 7 months and a EQ for about 6 months...

This LB looks amazing and I cannot wait to try it out! Looking forward to many great discussions!!!

You can say that, a few weeks ago my friend bought a new PlayStation 3 for 39.99. Then he was sent an e-mail explaining the pricing error

aesthyrian,
After reading this thread and a few others, got the MFLB as my first ever vape. Not disappointed. This thing fucking rocks!

then were is the vapor coming out from.
I believe it's coming out of the air intake (#1), it happens to me occasionally when microhitting, i think i am unknowingly blowing a tiny bit of air into the box when i stop drawing causing a small amount of vapor to escape out of the vertical channel.

Also does anyone have any input on what looks like a light pencil line on my screen? I racked my brains to remember some similar accounts of this type of blemish posted about this thread and remembered vaguely that someone had said that it is most likely a tear in the actual screen and was wondering if anyone could confirm this.

If it is indeed a small tear i have been using the box with no issues at all for over a month even though there is damage to the screen and was curious if anyone else has had this issue
