Yeah, Alan... that little VB bubbler, is actually a blast to use with the HI. Same with my small SSFG Gridded Bubbler.

Which leads me, to change #53. I've gone BACK to the VVPS. After OTH commented and I moved away from the larger pieces I had been using lately... the VVPS just makes sense. Though, I seem to stay between the 11.5 - 12.25. My SSFG 3 pc, can handle the higher voltages... but that's about as small as I can go, before I need to start dropping it down. Most of my pieces are 10" and smaller. Plus, with the 8' cord, it gives me some room to move around. I keep it in the closet with a fan blowing on it and on 24/7 for the most part. Kind of nice though, with the old MFLB PA I have (I have two of them)... I have 3 cords to plug in around the house, so I just grab the HI and move it where I'm going to be vaping.

Finally, I know mvapes has a lot on his mind, but I hope he's checking in, still thinking about you, friend. You and yours, remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Since I joined this forum and I saw Frederick's Mobius and the infamous bOObius... I have been obsessed. I think they just ooze everything that is right, in a bubbler.

I tease though, I hope no one takes it too serious. Envy is an ugly thing and I have been very blessed by kindness from others (a LOT from this website), to help build the majority of everything. The things I want for, are just wants. Not needs, except for a Mobius, you insensiti... whoa... oops. Excuse me. Where was I?

I'm actually overjoyed for you. I know you're having a blast with a piece you can be proud of and your balls can scrunch up, every time, you hear it go *tink* on something. However, now you have a piece, you can use the HI however you want it. As a BAZOOKA of Vapor or a tea-sipper.

Cheers, OTA! My HI has been gainfully employed since June. I don't keep it on 24/7--I turn it off before bed, and I turn it on in the morning, leaving it on all freakin' day/night, until bedtime. I figure giving it (and my VVPS) a nightly break will aid longevity for both.

I think the Mobios Ion, especially the Matrix is one of the most beautiful scientific bubs up to date. I probably would own one if they weren't so hard to find whenever I had some cash to spare.

But, I'm trying to be a 'one-bub-man' & sticking to my lovely blue bub for as long as I can (keep it in one piece..). I still dream about an Ion from time to time though

How much will they go for, & is the bowl about the same size as the one on your glass GonG tube?

I use it almost daily (it's on daily, regardless, as my wife uses it more than I do). Lately, I'm alternating sessions between the HI and the Cloud. If I'm mobile, I use my Pax. On the weekends, I bust out my viVape, which resides in a different part of my house, therefore giving me access to high-end vaporization in different places.

But, my HI is by far the most special to me of all my vaporizers, given that it's one-of-a-kind, made just for me by a like-minded kick-ass dude, it's versatile, convenient, quick, small, gorgeous, etc... I'm lucky--I love all my vapes.

K... this is my joke (well, I didn't write it, but I tell it the best).

So, one night this Koala gets all tidy'd up and decides to hit the town. He walks into the local watering hole and has a seat at the bar. After not too long, the bartender bring him a drink and says its from the lady at the end of the bar. A stunning woman. Understandable. He's a Koala... they're cute.

The Koala picks up his drink, joins the attractive woman and they hit it off immediately. Later that evening, she takes him home and they go at it all night long.

The following morning, the Koala needing to get back home, gathers his things and is about to leave, when the woman wakes.

"Excuse me, where do you think you're going?" She demands.

The Koala replies sheepishly, "Well, back home, Miss. Why?"

"You owe me $300!" The woman exclaims.

The Koala is shocked at this and asks, what on Earth he could owe her $300 for. She replies, that she's a prostitute.

The Koala naively responds, "A prostitute, what's what?". The woman, now having lost all patience, grabs a dictionary off the shelf and tosses it to him. "Look it up, yourself!" She demands.

Thumbing through, the Koala finally comes to the entry and reads aloud, "Prostitute: One who gives sex, for money." At this, the Koala starts to laugh and laugh. The woman is quite upset by this and wants to know, what's so funny.

The Koala stops laughing long enough to respond, "So what? I'm a Koala!" Now, it was time for the woman to be confused. Seeing this, the Koala tosses her back the dictionary and tells her to look it up, herself.

She flips through the pages, comes to the entry and starts to read aloud... "Koala: One who eats bush and leaves." !!!

On topic. Got a new charger for my video camera! Woot! This means I can make some better videos. Hope I can dig up my tripod to. But the camera is a big deal, IMO. I should have a sweet video of Hisaber Sumac and the Leviathan FC bubbler tomorrow late night.

OhTheAgony - The ID of the glass is 10mm just like the bowl on my all glass roasting tubes. I plan to charge $30 for it.
I trying some of the 7/16" OD, 3/8" ID SS tubing to make an unbreakable tip for u bwade wunner. It is a real pain to get them to be 10mm ID so they are a direct replacement for the glass tips. Then I realized that it would be better if I made them just slightly larger than 3/8" ID so that the HI center tube would just barely fit into the bowl for a more air tight fit. The 10mm ID still works, but it does let a bit of air leak by. The HI runs so hot anyway that it is alright if a bit of air leaks by on the glass tips.

BigDaddyVapor - I haven't made another wong yet, but I do know that one wong will make a white (glass bubbler). You have to watch out for those Koalas. They are sneaky little bears.

hey Alan I understand what you mean re the 3/8 ID tube,must be difficult to bore out the tube and keep the shape at the same time.i remember you said that when you made my Bwade proof SS stem pictured below.



I found that the beauty of the looser bore SS bowl is a glass nipple and SS tip will slide straight in there,the glass nipple without silicone, being careful though not to crack the glass nipple tube which is thin.

Also you can slide the heat port down into the SS bowl to allow the element to get closer to the hot shrinking herb.it works really well.

shame its so difficult to do.

EDIT: Not sure how many, but I got a boatload of videos loading right now. ALL with the HI and the new bubbler. I'm going to post one here (the thread deserves one!), but I'll link the post in the Leviathan thread for the read. I think I'm stuck on a new daily driver <gasp>. Considering its the highest (sensible) sized piece for everyday use, its understandable. I REALLY like this thing. You morning folks, will have a surprise.

As I was packing things up, I found the very first pipe I ever bought back in 1977 at the Cinderella City Mall in Denver (no longer there). It was also the first time I had ever seen cocobolo wood. I have had an interest in exotic wood ever since that time. When I gave up combustion, I thought I would never get to use it again. Just so happens that a piece of the heavy wall silicone fits nicely into the bowl and a screen fits snugly down inside. My old wooden pipe has now become a mouthpiece for a silicone roasting bowl. The HI is used just like a lighter upside down onto the silicone bowl. This would work with almost any wooden pipe. The silicone just needs to be sized according to the pipe bowl size. Would probably work the best with a brand new wooden pipe for the best taste. When I get some time I will try making a wooden pipe with a 3/8" bowl so the silicone won't even be necessary.

BigDaddyVapor - Thanks for posting the video. Looks like it is working very well. I was cringing to see you grab the hottest part of the glass roasting tube. You must have some tough fingers by now. You are correct that Koala's are not bears. I was just baiting you.

Nice pipe Alan. I've got to say, cocobolo is one of my favorite woods. It shines up so nicely.

I used to have a pipe similar to that. I got it on a trip to Colorado about 40 years ago. Bought it in a bar in Nederland, Colorado. Unfortunately, mine is gone; lost in an incident where I didn't get busted, but came damn close. I loved that pipe...

I'm looking forward to seeing how my HI and my bubbler from Leviathon work together. Cannot wait to get it and see if I can come close to what BigDaddy pulls off.
