I think they said its a hybrid but mostly convection. I think it may be seperate but not too sure
I dont think thats right? I think you donate or whatever to their kickstarter campaign and then youll be able to purchase it for $99 when its released? Or pay $99 in july (essentially pre order) and then receive it when it gets made... Im confused about it but thats what i got from reading the original post.
What happens if you donate to the kickstarter campaign and the device never comes to fruition (a la stealthvape, mivape etc...)
7 foot! Bigger is always better, right?
Do you have a prototype? how long have your been testing the prototype?
i hope you will show the interior design (drawings or photos) -- i'm particularly interested in the computer end of the pen.
You will probably be SOL. That's the nature of investing.
I will keep an eye on this, I have been waiting for a good herb penvape! Will you be able to publish a video of it working when the KS is available?
We'll for sure be posting a few videos in the next couple weeks before the kickstarter launches! We put up another blog post today that runs through all the basics http://zenpenvapor.com/blog/2013/06/18/here-is-what-you-want-to-know/
We post almost everyday so if you're technically inclined you can follow along and see how its made!
the way it's explained, to me it looks like this is what I was wishing for awhile ago... a sleek ultra portable vape with good battery life that works with herbs and has the instant heating of the mflb so it can be used to vape longer sessions or for instant one hitters every now and then when out and about.
Yeah man, that sums it up pretty well!
I should also mention its easy to clean, you can remove the whole front chamber and drop it in isopropyl alcohol if you want.
This looks so sleek. But the vapor path is really short, will there be a matching tube of some kind to attach to the mouthpiece for cooler vapor?
Also, do the air intake holes do double duty as openings so the blue LED indicator is visible? Is the air path isolated from the electronics?
I'm looking forward to the reviews on this!
This thing looks awesome and I can not wait for more information on it. Especially a video of it producing some clouds. Everything about it looks awesome so far, so my hopes are high.
Really love the kickstarter idea! Hope to see this thing in production sometime soon as I definitely would love to get my hands on one. Will be checking for follow ups.
still keeping my eye on this. i wonder how large a donation has to be to get the $99 price tag? cant wait to see some videos zenpen
i wish you a successful kickstarter
From what I understand, the $99 is your donation/purchase of the ZenPen.
hmmmmmmmmm i read it differently like mud..... hope Zenpen can shed some light on this.
Taken from their website.
Many of you already know that we will be running a Kickstarter campaign this July to launch the ZenPen. I would like to share something really special with you. It will only cost $99.00 USD for you to own a ZenPen during that time. We have worked hard to keep the costs low and bring you a great product at an affordable rate. It was always one of our goals to make the ZenPen available to as many people as possible and we hope this price point will really help with that.
From the FB page:
cool looking pen! I'll be keeping an eye on this...
Thats in the original post. It still doesnt clear up whether you need to donate money in order to buy it for $99 dollars or whether the $99 will be the donation as well as the purchase......
Also, how much is it going to retail for after the kickstarter campaign ends
I'm taking it to mean what it say. $99 gets you a ZenPen, from what I see.

So the way kickstarter works is that for different levels of contribution there are rewards for the backers!
We plan on offering different rewards ranging from "recognition of support", to mugs, water bottles and t-shirts with the logo, all the way up to a chance to take a tour of our lab and join us for a "Vapor Workshop"
At the at the $99 level your reward will be a 1st edition Zenpen!
For a little extra cash we'll also be offering colour and special custom edition models!
Awesome! Thanks for clearing that up.
Is there any idea of what its going to retail for once it is released or will it still be $99?
I was telling someone about this vaporizer last night. I love the form factor. I wonder if it would make me any more bold in my choice of where I might decide to medicate.
I like that it hits the 410F mark... that is sort of the sweet spot in my book in terms of production. Any lower of a max temp and I worry it will not preform well enough to help my pain levels.
I am really excited about this portable. I love to keep my vaporizers in my front shirt pocket and I can't think of a less conspicuous form factor for that.
I can't wait to do some testing and a review of this one. Will form and function find a good balance? My inner industrial design wannabe is drooling.
Any idea when the kickstarter campaign will officially launch? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what is your kickstarter goal? ...this product looks really sweet. I want one. I want my friends to contribute to the campaign, so you can get this off the ground, and I can get mine. Nothing worse than a failed kickstarter campaign. Love the name zenpen too. Well done guys, this has some potential for damn sure.
I'm heading to the temple pretty soon...maybe I can get some of the Monks to contribute? It is, after all...a zen pen
Wow this looks great! As long as I see a video of at least a few hits (a full session would be AMAZING) then a shot of the ABV, I'm sold. Time and time again we see pen vapes that end up scorching the herb. But if this is made specifically for herbs, I'm sure it won't! But I won't back the Kickstarter unless I know for sure. Also, I hope there's quite a bit of resistance for the "click", because I could see this turning on in your pocket fairly easily.
I could see this replacing my MFLB for my portable needs. A bit more information on this, videos, pictures, and maybe some reviews. I might fork over 99 dollars for the kickstarter and see what happens from there.
I often finding myself away from the house but no portables are suited for where I live (Non medical state) to use out in the public or to be able to carry it with me.
