The Stempod is amazing. So fast, simple, and efficient.

My Tubo is starting to collect dust.

I got the Sinous P80 to pair with the Stempod and although they work well together, the Stempod is just too top heavy for the plastic P80 body. I like the HVT Sai on the P80 much better.

So now I'm on the hunt for another mod: at least 2 batteries to support the SP weight. I suppose the Wismec Ravage or Predator would do well, as is the model shown on the MPL website.

The TCR doesn't seem to work with the Stempod on the Aegis Legend software, but there are also other modes I havent tried. But it looks damn sexy, and the Matte Black on the Aegis matches the Stempod sleeve, unlike other mods with glossy black that make the SP look washed out.

Cks200 I think it's called? The one with the vo chipset. I've been using the chip for about 2 weeks now, and it's crazy efficient and user friendly. Tcr is really easy to setup and works great.

I Got my stempod a week or so ago and it is dope...but my mod is not! I have the same beat up cuboid that I have had for years, thanks to @AJS I decided to quick buy a reuleaux 3 mod...should be here Tuesday!

How high is the max wattage recommended for firemode?

I tried temp mode, but I didn't really find a sweet spot.

Right now im using it at 42.5 but it doesn't seem like it pumps mass volumes of vapor out reliably...its hit and miss

Cant wait for my new mod, I'm sure it will make the experience more pleasant than it's already been

If it's the installed coils, I find anywhere from 31-40 works well for me. I use a medium-small draw letting the warm vapor in, and drawing more after letting go of the button

Thanks to all of those who responded to my question regarding glowing coils. Lots of useful info...

The last time I used my StemPod I managed to achieve combustion. I'm using it in wattage mode, set to 40 watts. I used a 3-4 second "preheat" before releasing and re-pressing the fire button on my mod. On the second hit it combusted after about a 6-7 second draw.

I plan to lower the wattage some and try to get the "sweet spot" that will provide good vapor without combustion. I know I have a lot more options (TCR etc...) to explore, but for now I'm just messing with the wattage.

I also ordered the S&B dosing capsules but have not received them yet. I'm not sure if anyone else (besides maybe Dan) has tried them. I'll let everyone know how they work for me.

Sorry that mod didn’t work out. I never use stempod standing up always lay mods sideways. Never considered this an issue.

Broke a milaana standing it up that way so just habit now.

Personally I love this combo for travel. The sme firmware really works well.
Now if was a home unit it be on something larger. But with travel I want small and with cruise featured mod. It runs tc great so i’m pleased there too

Will toss it on the new lost vape later. Should make a good combo.

The disguiser i picked up cheap with ideal to replace the chip.

Though a yihi might fit. Never got around too it.

Might now that iheat has new mod mess with it.

Are there different sized iheats. Mine smaller 25mm than the Stempod at 26mm?
Run Stempod only in tc so use 60 Watts.
Yes the iHeats are different sizes...depends on the wood Alan is using at the time. I have been to his house a couple of times and all the iHeats were different..some skinny some fat, but they all hit good.

I had a nice session with some new glass and a new StemPod last night. Out in the cold single digit Celsius Tassie winter air, the StemPod with RX300 quad batt mod was just awesome.

Plug and play with funky junky firmware, TCR at 210. Very easy to use.

One thing I didn't like so much was the tolerance of fitment between the deck and the shroud. A few times I tried to carb clear the glass piece by removing the vape, it came apart with glowing coils too close for comfort. Not a big deal, just need to use different adapters and be careful.

So far so good, and the whole package is great value for money.

One of the reason I removed the gasket was do to this. With gasket in the fits is too good and had the same problem.

I use wood stems and I like my stems close to coils.

I just found the gasket more annoying than helpful with wood stems.

With stock stem might be a different fit. Away from home or I would check.

I would try it without gasket see if that works out better for you.

Yeah, I actually removed the O-ring first thing. The ground glass adapter I was using still has enough friction to bring the shroud up with it, mind you it was on cruise for a decent amount of time before this was happening, so all the metal was warm and would slip off the deck relatively easily.

The polished joint on the included adapter seems to be a nicer option, I just would like a 14mm male connection instead of the mouthpiece. It's definitely decent to use dry, but from the few big hits I was having that way last night, I think popcorn lung is likely with direct heat injection down the throat.

I have a couple of ground glass male to male 18/14 adapters on the way, as is I was using a 18f-14m Keck clipped to a 18m-18m ground joint adapter and it's a bit cumbersome.
Hopefully I'll have better luck with a single piece in between bong and vape

I removed the gasket as well...i did not like it with the stock stem nor any of my other stems. With the gasket gone this little beast rocks. Only complaint is i start off at 40W 30-35W does not do anything for me...but that is proabably because of the mod.
using a GTRS Vboy 200W mod.

Gonna switch to my squid when i get back to ATL. Squid is wattage only but it does it so well!! actually think the stempod will look quite smexxxy on my squid.

Made myself a wee blackwood stem for my stempod today, I love the glass stem that came with it but wanted to make a less breakable wooden stem for on the go also made it about 20mm shorter so it’s nice and portable. It doesn’t cool the vapor as well as the glass but only just noticeably hotter.

The stempod absolutely rips! It’s a beast of a vaporizer!! Extremely reasonable price as well, I’ve had it for a week now and I’m stoked with this purchase!

Nicely turned, that looks awesome!

I think out of all my vapes, this one is the most viable option for the smokers still around me. Considering price and performance, design and durability, adaptability and simplicity.

I think this one will be contagious.

It's ticking all the right boxes, and it's pretty hard to nitpick.

Can't wait to get home and give it a run in warmer weather

Cloudy...
Just spoke with Royale mail and seems like my unit is being charged by customs and won't be able to enjoy it until next week. Shame! But at least I know I'll have it soon :)

Edit:

Also ordered these 2 items from fasttech:

Some tools: https://m.fasttech.com/p/9637611

Some coils to test and find out wich kind I like more. Never played with rda's before:
https://m.fasttech.com/p/6438400

With this I think I should be set for next week. When I find out wich kind of coils I like best, I will just buy a rod, should be cheaper.

Really excited about this vape!

I'll get the Wismec Sinuous P 80 the next week. Has anyone an optimized sur_myevic sw version for that to share?
No doubt, I was about to ask this same question after @HerbieVonVapster said he flashed MyEvic on the P80. I tried that and it didn't work, so I ended up with Arctic Fox on it.

@fogbank not thats it''s necessary, but I find that preheating for a few seconds around 55-60 without the stem and then putting it in works well (when it's cold) Then, once it's rolling, I keep it around 40-55 and just do small bursts. Slowing my sip down to let the heat build up really gets things going.

To avoid charring, I have to stir the load every 2 hits, especially if it's a packed joint, otherwise it will start to cook unevenly at those higher wattages.

@b0 I got charged 25% cost in duty fees. They held my package hostage unil I could pay for that which I already fully paid for. I order stuff oversees no problem, but from the US? Watch out.

@TNT_error Would you be interested in making more for some FCers? That's both stealthy and beautiful. I want more wood stems but lamart.ch only sells in small, limited batches. I checked out the CKS Icon you mentioned; a nice mod I'll consider. (Oh, it's discontinued or sold out)

P.S. you could probably fit a small A-maze cooler from lamart in the neck of that blackwood stem. It distributes the heat into the wood, which absorbs some of it. And you won't see it of course.

Right now I’m using the stock SS setting in the sur_evic SME and it really works well with the coils I’m using. The TCR settings work good too. I am getting some stock coils from Dan on Monday to try.

Many of the cosmetic setting like screen savers UI size in the sur_evic SME depend on the users preference. Best thing to do is read instruction get familiar with the features of sur_evic SME.

If you rather have a plug and play type experience. I can write up some basic instructions more slated towards our use. Then do a firmware backup of my P80. Then upload or send it to you.

This way you can learn or not the software at your pace. With a good working base to build on. Plus if you do mess up settings can just reload the firmware.

Thinking of doing 3 profiles
1 profile with notched coils. Another profile with Clapton coils. 3rd would just be Watts.

If you can skim thru the Instructions linked below use the Russia one. Then message me any questions or suggestions you like to see in your firmware download. I will try to do this Monday or Tuesday.

I need to make myself a backup copy. So it’s be easy to make any changes you like and do it when I’m make mine :)

@Evilevile oh I don't make stems. I wish I had the skills to do so though lol. Yeah idk what's up with vo tech. You can try contacting them and they could sell you one maybe? They're California based or you can check out sites like localvape and beyondvape and other us based ecig stores that sell American products. I got my Dagger from localvape not sure if they sell the icon though

More StemPod porn. :whip:

Here's the 18 to 14mm ss reducer, which is the 1st of many accessories planned for the SP. Dan says it's primarily for microdoses cause the 14mm stems hold about .05, but actually, as far as I'm concerned, anyone who prefers or has 14mm stems they love will want it.

Most pics seem blurry because Dan twirls real fast when he's showing parts, so, when the stream is paused, it's got motion blur.

This is the 1st prototype. The next rendition is gonna have the edges smoothed out as they are sharp. You'll notice that the top ring mirrors the width of the bottom part of the SP 'cause not only does Dan likes the visual uniformity, but the width allows for a good grasp to remove it. And most importantly, what I couldn't capture because of the amber color of the 14mm stem is that Dan has the reducer tapered down in such a way that a 14mm stem sits as deeply (if not slighter lower) in the reducer as an 18mm sits in the SP sleeve w/o the reducer. This way, regardless of stem size, the load is positioned the same distance from the heater. Usually, with a 14mm stem the load sits about 1/3" of an inch higher above the heater.

Dan wants to name the reducer so he was open to suggestions, but since this stream is exactly a month old, don't know if he already picked a name, but if anyone has any good ones, post them. I think the name should end in Pod, like the ReducerPod.

As an aside, I have decided that when Dan makes it big, I'm going to be his official biographer & tell his story through screen captures. Albeit, by then, it'll be Adobe Photoshop & not an old Win XP program.

Have a great weekend everyone.
