Been using this EQ insert over a month now.

1 qtip with dry swab, then other end with a drop or 2 from that bottle, while the dish is still hot gets everything sparkling again.

Been abusing this atomizer around 5 months now with no issues. Still have 2 backups just in case.

Can also reliably drop about 0.3g or 0.4g dabs with no spillover if you're ok with sesh mode a few times.

I'm not gonna say I'm a huge Puffco, or EQ fan, but just throwing my experience out there

Hey how does dark crystal work on glass ?does it take off cloudyness pretty well ?

I don't think it will remove devitrification. I am not sure there is much you can do other than sandblasting it, if it's devitrified pretty bad.

From what I can tell, the Dark Crystal just breaks the bond between the surface, and the resin somehow. If the dish is sufficiently hot, it gets it all in one go.

I also really like using Dark Crystal because there's nothing particularly harmful about touching it with bare skin, unlike even ISO.

The ingredients in Dark Crystal are: Water, Karanja Oil, Coconut Extract, Kelp Extract, and extract of sugar cane. It's something I feel pretty safe using, it works incredibly well, and it's fairly cheap.

Hey just wondering if I could get a few questions answered, my peak has started to play up abit. I think I broke my atomizer while cleaning it, now the heat plate feels loose n I’m getting rainbow lights.... it’s fairly new so I don’t think im getting rainbow lights from the gold pins not touching, any ways to prevent the connection between the atomiser and base becoming cross threaded too

you sure those are safe to come into contact with hot vapor?

Yes, these don't even get remotely warm. I have tested until the unit will not heat anymore, big dab after big dab. I couldn't get the thermocouple up by more than a couple of degrees at the mouth of the vapor input. The silicone bed vapor inlet doesn't get very hot at all. I am currently making them out of a food grade PET that's a little more heat resistant than standard PLA or PLA+ printed material, but it's not necessary for this particular part since it doesn't even really get warm.
There are a lot out there being used, pre-production prototype and production models, no-one has any complaints yet. If you feel strongly about an all glass vapor path I know a glass blower making glass ones too, I can point you to him. But of course if you require an all glass vapor path you don't want the Peak anyway. lol
I have been loving my E-rigs. Now that Peak atomizers and cheap and last a long time, and the Switch is kicking ass with the Evo adapter I never turn on my Liger or Axial enails anymore.

Curious if any of you are using the peak for hash?
I’m not that much into waxes (especially if they’re BHO) but simply love hash.

I got the clear one for $35. Can’t wait to try the function.

Mine arrived today! It’s a really good looking piece. Heavier than the stock glass but I assume most custom tops are, I’ve never had one due to the prices. Fit and function are great.

I’ve been using it on hash a lot recently. I just got into hash/solventless stuff and the Peak is a good option. Higher than blue will probably burn it but it’s good if you want a quicky dab.

OK, Let me say that AutoCAD and a 3D printer are WAY too much fun for a nerd stoner. I have made so many awesome mouthpieces for the Sai! These Cap Keeper hinges are really the best add-on for the Peak, folks drop carb caps on the reg. Plus I'm having a blast making every carb cap that wouldn't stay on my Peak, work on my Peak flawlessly.
Not to mention the base, I have been fine-tuning the design but it looks like a 90mm base makes this thing a lot more stable. I will keep playing and coming up with ideas. I also made some Peak-14mm adapters to use your Peak as a rig, although I have only had to do this once, when my battery died and no one had a rig!

So I have a ruby, sapphire, sic, and several quartz inserts and I still keep going back to the quartz for the faster heat ups. The ruby and sapphire taste great, but you get less hits per battery with them. The upgraded atomizer heaters help, but the corundum still needs more heat to get going. Since this is a portable device with battery limitations, I rock the quartz for now. Here is the current lineup of good options after trying tons of crappers...I finally just had the best quartz guy in the bunch make 4 varieties for different experiences. From left to right in pic, Wicking unpolished opaque, Polished Opaque, Ultra-polished Opaque bottom , Clear quartz. I also have several straight walled inserts that work well too, but I have been sticking with the OE shape for now. Thinking about custom heaters for custom inserts soon...:science:

I will try to get a video up before edit window is gone.

I thought it was gonna be too good to be true, for the price... but nah it's great. Recyclers are not my preferred rig style, or anything... but the color was nice in the picture, and even better in person. It looks kinda purple in some lighting, even! Very smooth, and awesome function.

Anyone try the new constant gems fitted sic peak inserts yet ? Been wondering how they are, I hear good results on insta but not sure who to trust . They are pricey to drop $100 on without some knowledge 1st .

I’d like to. I’d love to hear some thoughts myself.

I have the fadspace SiC insert and can’t seem to get a good sesh from it.

After the first cycle on any color, the peak overheats and flashes red.

I’ve tried adjusting the top cap to a loose position. I’ve lined the “teeth” of the top cap to sit atop the atomizer. Still, just overheats the device.

Please, if anyone has any tips I’d love to know. So far I’ve been using it as an insert for the torch rig and working good.

I actually bought your insert and I love it. Did you use it with any other nails? The one you sent didn't work well with it because it has a dimple in the bottom that makes the insert sit in there funny and messes with the airflow

Some cool etched hydratubes and Peak adapters available. People have been loving them! So versatile they can be used with any e-rig or vape.

Just picked up a Peak and took my first dab ever of some live resin sugar (strictly flower guy for 10+ years). The first bowl on green level ended with a nasty smoke taste and a nice black ring around the bottom

I'm guessing I just let it go too long--gonna give this one an ISO soak to remove the charring.

As a complete dabbing noob, any veterans here have tips on how to get the most out of a bowl without charring it?

The ceramic will start to stain black after a few dabs, its easier to torch it clean than iso if you are using the ceramic bucket...

It shouldnt give you a nasty taste though. I would say start with a small sized dab 0.1 maybe a little less. Load it in the bowl and press the button to start. wait til it vibrates 3 times and start inhaling. It works better if you do lighter shorter puffs because you dont want to pull so hard you force the oil out of the bowl onto the atomizer. If green is too hot maybe go down to blue. i usually use mine on green though.

Also make sure to qtip the bowl clean after each dab to keep it clean and preserve flavor
