I chose USPS, I got the order confirmation, but haven't been sent a shipping notice yet, but it's only mon., and I placed my order late sat. night, so I imagine the order has just been received today, so I am not trying to be unrealistic.

Soooo I ordered my black pax directly thru ploom to avoid the wait from vape world. I received my sale confirmation and said I'd receive a shipping email by 5 pm the day it ships. I ordered at 230 Friday and have yet to receive an email. I'm getting a little worried.. I hope it's not sold out but I want to use my pax NOW....D:< also emailed ploom help but have yet to receive an email back..

I was ordering, stalking, etc in no time... haha ...but really I think there is something to the process that is a bit addictive. I placed my order late Sat. night, and did not get a shipping notice today (it's after 5pm PST) now so I don't expect to see one this evening. I do hope the blue is in stock, if have to wait, I'd rather wait for a purple one. If I don't get some confirmation by tomorrow evening, I will probably contact Ploom and hopefully get some response. Really I just want to find out if the blue ones are actually shipping out right away. It seems they would say backorder if they were not in stock, like the others. Do have to be patient though, and give them time to process the orders.

just got a nifty new onyx in the mail today at work, charged by the time i was ready to leave, got home and packed a 1/3 full oven, and toasted it down on high to good effect. Its two hours later, and im going to give the same size a go at medium...yummy so far ;]

Ok my pax experience first time away from home for weekend. I get nicely medicated on low setting and can vape very discreetly in semi close proximity of others virtually undetected in outdoor setting. my favorite temp however is medium but the smell is no longer discreate enough to do in a public setting without someone noticing a smell in close proximity . On high well its not discrete at all but does a very efficient job of getting all the meds into my system in a shorter amount of time, however it is rather harsh. I'm certain my opinion will change with quality/type of meds I use in the future but these are my thoughts for now.

i have been unable to find the panasonic NCR18650B batteries that JoeKickAss used with tabs already spot welded onto them, considering just buying one and soldering to it (really don't want to have to do this).

however, i am trying to devise a way to not have to solder in the battery at all, i'm going to mess around with it more wednesday when my new pax arrives since i don't want to mess this one up until i get my new one

Well that is in speculation right now, The Pax Ploom official website showed the blue unit in stock when I ordered on Sat., and the other colors said backordered. Now when I just checked, they all say backordered. I hope this doesn't mean they slipped up and let a few extra orders get through that do not have inventory to back up right away... not to alarm anyone, I am completely speculating here. I will go ahead and email them now to find out what the situation is (I hope).

I got tracking number.( I emailed them).. Should be good to go...USPS tracking updates is garbage....
Can't wait to get my hands on this... Much needed... Will get neon sleeve to attach to möbius ...

Ordered mine today at 2pm Mountain time and got a tracking number at 6pm. Need to wait until tomorrow for the USPS site to update my package status. Hope to have it by the 3 day weekend.

wish they would have sent me some kind of tracking, I did send them a email about an hour ago. I would be happy enough just knowing if it's on the way or not. I have a mobius ion heading my way too, from a trade, so it's funny that iloveboobs made that pax/ion vid, I just stumbled onto it yesterday.

MAJOR UPDATE: my pax's battery is now 100% user replaceable, as my battery is no longer soldered into the device took pics all along the way, will be making a tutorial shortly!

i have absolutely no idea, my knowledge of electronics goes as far as knowing how to hook them up

this would be a question for ploom, or a battery expert, however i will personally be sticking with li-ion.

Thanks for taking the time to do the step by srep Dude/Brian. May I suggest epoxying the battery terminal tabs to the plastic frame. That way they stay put when swapping the batteries which will help with the fidgeting to get it in place.

I have 2 Orbtronic 3100mah protected 18650 Lion rechargeable just sitting here, I wonder if they would work with the pax, assuming I am able to complete the mod properly, and I agree with mounting the connection leads... Make it as easy to change as possible.

Protected ones are meant for flashlights and other less "sophisticated" devices, they have the built in low battery cut-off but that makes them longer. Too long for the Pax... you need an unprotected, bare "cell" but don't worry I think the Pax cuts out at like 3v, a very nice margin

I probably won't attempt this at first. I will probably get a second pax, I have a feeling I am going to love it. Once I have pax #2 I will mod the first one. I am stoked to have such good directions and a fairly simple fix for the battery.

Luckily I have built a couple of ecig box mods, and learned to solder a bit... been a while, and I don't have my 2nd hands tool anymore, but I think I can handle 2 solder points. Note to future self: do not get vaped prior to modding...

I am looking around the net for batteries, anyone already have a good link? Also trying to find the flat part for the other lead, I found a AA connector at madvapes.com, but I am not sure if it would work. Do these look ok? http://www.madvapes.com/c6-transparent-purple.html might have to trim down the sides, I know it looks cramped in the pax.

It doesn't say if it's unprotected, so I am not sure about these...
