Overwhelmed with choice of vapes. Need help.

I want to buy my first vape and have been researching several different kinds for awhile now. I think I find one that I'm going to buy, but then learn of another. I need some help deciding. I want a table-top vape, with portability option. My biggest priority is the health factor... I'd like a vape with a pure air path and also somewhat easy to use. I was thinking of the Vapolation, but the ease of use sounds difficult. I was looking at the PD and then realized it went out of business. The SSV sounds like a good healthy option with a clean air path, but stealth is somewhat of an issue for me. I know I'm interested in direct draw only vs. dual vapes, as I will be using it for personal use only and don't want a "jack of all trades, master of none." I will be using it almost daily. I like the idea of controlling my high with smaller hits. I'm willing to pay whatever I need to pay for the healthiest, most reliable vape with some of the other qualities I mentioned above. I know many of you have several different vapes, but at the moment I can only afford one. If you had to choose only one vape containing some of the qualities I mentioned, which one would it be? All help is greatly appreciated. I could research forever, but I'm ready to stop looking and buy one.

I like the Da Buddha and I think it would be great for you. I have found a great way to make it stealth as well. I bought a small lamp shade. I wait for it to cool, set the shade on top, and it looks like a small desk lamp

You should maybe look at the minivap Quinlin, its a home vape & portable, made in Spain with medical grade materials, no cheap plastics here. It is a pricey vape and probably because of that, no one has purchased one on here and reviewed. I am seriously considering myself!

The Vapolution is not difficult to use. In fact, it's very simple. The "hardest" part about using it is learning what size nugs work best in the bowls. Not rocket science at all.

I second what Stu says. The Vapolution is not hard to conquer. I estimate about a 3 bowl learning curve - i.e. by the 3rd bowl you will have a good idea of how it works and how to use it effectively. For the price it's a real steal and if a pure air-path is your aim the All-in-wonder-bowl and the Vapolution deliver.

There are great log vape options out there. CRZ/UD/HI.

I'm not sure it is wise to recommend a vape that you, nor anyone else on this website owns or at least tried out extensively. Lets wait until we hear a little more about it first and see a few video's of what it can do plz.

If I were pointing a newbie in the direction of a vape I would have to push the Da Buddah. Its a good solid piece for the price and it is easy enough to use that you wont get all frustrated trying.

I've not tried Da Buddha but I've tried the SSV and it's nice--I believe Da Buddha is just a step down from the SSV? Also take a look at the LSV, which I've heard good things about. Also, have you thought about the Vriptech Heat Wand? That's pretty good too, and it's portable.

I had roughly the same criteria when I started looking. The SSV and Da Buddha both sound great, but weren't stealth enough for me; I didn't want something that looked fishy. (I never thought of a lampshade!) The vape that really tempted me was the viVape; unfortunately, they had some delivery delays and I couldn't wait. But it sounds like a solid unit that looks discreet. Maybe Vapinghole can comment on his??

If price is not an issue and you want reliability get the volcano digital

The viVape is a great home unit--best I've tried and I can't imagine the quality/taste gets much better for that type of forced-air vape. Quality machine, for sure. Two-ish minute heatup time is no joke. But I wouldn't recommend it as a portable. I thought at first I would carry it around, but it's too much rigmarole for my taste. I even bought the $60 carry case, which is a piece of shit, actually. I've not used it once, but I keep the spare viVape parts in it. The MFLB works just fine for me as a portable, especially since I have the power adapter and car charger.

I'm VERY keen to get the Solo, and that's a great suggestion by sticks. I'm on the waiting list for the HI (log vape), and I'm really keen on that, but I can definitely see a place for the Solo in my vape collection. sticks knows his shit too, so I'm even more keen on the Solo now. Even though I'm on the list for the VXC too! Yes, I have V.A.S.

The big difference between a log and the Solo is that you have to sort of plan a session with the Solo ime. I can have a bowl ready and take a hit whenever I want with my little log, but once that 12 minute timer starts on the Solo you first have to wait a few minutes till it heats up, and you can't wait to long in between hits because it will drain your bud. It requires a lot more attention.

A good working-not-stinking Solo is a great extractor, but I do not find it as convenient as a log.

I used a SSV daily for 8 months btw. Ime whips are clumsy and a little obsolete. Go logs!

Vapinghole, if you read this, I came very close to getting a viVape but, as mentioned, I couldn't wait out the delays. But I remember looking carefully at the carrying case their website pictured and it didn't make sense to me: it looked like you were supposed to put parts on both sides of the case (including glass) and then fold it over on itself. ???? Can you explain how it is supposed to work? No big deal, I'm just curious.
Also, sorry to be lazy, but has the Solo gotten all the kinks out? I also looked very carefully at that one, followed the thread for a couple months, and just got exhausted by the discussion of smells and chips and this and that. If it works as advertised, it would indeed be a fantastic all around unit.

Sorry to ask, but don't log vapes also use whips? I only have extensive experience with the MFLB and I've hit an Extreme Q on two separate occasions, but I'm confused lol.

I think you can attach a whip but they aren't required.

Through a stem, like a tube you insert on the log heating port. Like a straw in a drink.

Log vapes also mate with glass very well if you are a person who uses glass.

headdoc - you're correct, my friend. It has space for shit on both sides (foam with cutouts), and there's a zipper in the middle to close it up. I don't really dig it--but then I've since learned I wouldn't take the viVape out of the house anyway, so no biggie. It's good to store stuff.

I can't wait to get a log vape. And yes, I use glass! It's basically like a lighter, but it's a vape. When you want a bong hit, you use the log vape instead of a nasty fucking lighter (no offense, combusters). Also, the way you load you herb slightly varies, but not much, from what I've seen. Bring on the log vape!!

That's the way I think of a log vape as well vapinghole. With so many glass options available for the log vapes now it makes them really a jack of all trades. Use direct draw, whip, with glass, it really doesn't matter either way =
