Okay. So been extensively using this piece. With a lighter...

Honestly, despite the ease and convenience I will keep trying to make a video, I have recorded like 15+ within this last two months but have been really disappointed with lighting, setup, and the overall shot.

So the downsides of a soft flame lighter is soot. And boy does a bic soot this vape up. It took two months for my unit to get so clogged that the amazing open airflow was so restricted so hard I couldn't inhale enough to even get a hit. Explains why my previous videos were becoming so difficult. I finally gave it a clean and its back to better airflow.

My glass pieces did get very sooted up which was very interesting to see. Quite unfortunate for anyone using direct draw or no filtration. The whip also gets very dirty from the soot, along with my UD stem which is my bowl.

Here's some pics of the dirty and cleaned top.

I like the vaporization process and design but this amount of soot in such little time is pretty disappointing.

Outstanding review. I have a VG coil and classic, how would you compare them to the Nimbin (NIM). If you were to torture test the VG in the same way you used the NIM, would the VG get equally dirty, and would it require the same amount of cleaning? By the way, how long did it take for you to clean the NIM?

2 minutes? Dumped in ISO for about 20 seconds with salt and shaken, then cleaned with a q-tip. Washed the pieces with warm water and put straight back on the bowl.

My OG VaporGenie (of 5 years) gets often use from my friends now with a soft flame lighter and I used it for a couple years with a soft flame exclusively. It has also had many people combust and just inhale the flame to filter for 10+ seconds at a time..

VG filter is a lot harder to clean, there are methods but its honestly better in my opinion to just get a new filter. The filter should be fine for 3+ years if not longer without cleaning but performance will drop. Using a torch will kind of negate the poor performance and help clean the soot out. Genie definitely doesn't get so clogged that there is no airflow and black soot in glass or screen.

Nice. Thanks for the info. Sooooooo...What is your verdict? Would you give this vape your stamp of approval. I know it's not that expensive, but is it different enough from the VG to drop say $50 bucks. If you had to choose one soft lighter operated vape what would it be? Don't consider the Lotus or VM they only use torch lighters, that are tempermental and unreliable. A Bic or Djeep are bullet proof and can be found anywhere.

I would go for the Genie, it's a lot less maintenance and the handpipe models are easier to hit. I approve torch usage, take caution when using a soft flame with the high amounts of soot.

Yesyerday I got the 4.3 version of the NimbinVap, get some nice hits, combusted also (user error), but before to post my full review I want some help please, it is mentionned to use 4 screens+diffuser, do you only put it in the bowl with flowers on, I proceed like that..but in a vaping video I saw the guy was throwing abv and no screens or diffuser was fallen out of the bowl.....

In the same vid the guy take off the metal part in the nozzle before use....I kept it in....

How do you manage to replace (in the future) the heated screen, there is some Paytonpenn pics showing it out but i don't understand how to proceed...

User guide is nice but lot of explanations misses.

Great tool to test!

I believe they want the screens in place of the diffuser.

They have been making small changes in the design, so it's hard to know exactly what your references are.

Like this bad boy, it is a nice little vape but it hit like a train! Definitly an heavy hitter!

It comes with a lot of goodies and accessories, a ton of screens, active charcoal, hempwick, an accessories box (for pills I think but very nice!) and 2 pouchs(a small for NimbinVap and a large for hempwick), here a pic:

or two....
DPFNMZn.jpg

Manufacturer asked to me to test all features...I can't since a lot of them are combustion!
But I proceed to some tests, first i used it with my orbiter, it fit like it is in a 14mm joint(although it needs to be vertical!) and 18mm even better.

First test was disappointing...but something was misplaced and airflow was blocked, i think it was one of the metal part in the pic here:
sWOM1VS.jpg

In a vid I could see a guy was taking off the tiny metal part before to use vaping feature....I didn't take it off...

Second test, after a first blank hit I got a ton of vapor....and smoke...I combusted (not totally..).

After that I feel how to use it better, first hit is better without visible vapor, it heat the load but after that you can get thick hits after thick hits...I only stir one time for a 0.1 load and take 4-5 hits before to dump my abv, evenly brown, absolutly no green specs.

I agree taste is not the better but decent enough to compete with the VG or Vapocane BUT effects are here, this vape kick my ass!

I made a little mod cause i was bored screens and diffusers was falling out the bowl every time I dump my abv, i only use a larger screen (not provided) to keep in place diffuser+3 screens.

Here my favourite way to use it dry:
IRZtD23.jpg

I haven't got any experience with active charcoal or hempwick...but i tested hempwick for a bowl and after 2 hits I stopped cause the bad taste (and a bit of black on my NimbinVap)...could you give me some helps to use hempwick and charcoals (but I think charcoal is only for smoking isn't it?)?
I saw a vid...the guy was using the hempwick very close of the Nimb..like i done...!?!

This mexican guys made a good job to provide a tool for both vapers/smokers, it could be a good gift for a smoker friend, to lead it to vaping. i can imagine some future improvements as a glass bowl (I don't know if it's still aluminium or SS now) and a better diffuser to improve the taste.

Definitly a vape to get if you are a flame powered vapes addict, it is in good place near of my vaporgenie, Lotus, Daisy, vapocane and Vapman! A big hitter as the Daisy...but portable at hell!

I own a silver opium pipe i imagine to pair with my NimbinVap!

A little update, I use my NimbinVap regulary, not daily but several times per week.

I like the huge bowl and the clouds it produces, taste is nice enough for me (similar to a VG...maybe better but it's a personnal opinion). the small size is a big plus and you can dismantle everything (except the top screen...which is my main complain).

Although I noticed it was gunked with resin enough to restrict a lot the airflow, so i decided to take off the piece in the picture here (it was covered of a nice amber reclaim before cleaning), I get a completly free airflow now so hits are quicker and bigger but you must to pay some attention to avoid combustion(still use mine only with a torch)

You just need to use force to dismantle the top screen.

After reading different people's comments on the NimbinVap, I would conclude that using the vaporizer requires a lot of practice/dexterity. While I love vapes that don't use electricity or battery, I have MS, and my hands shake and are spastic sometimes. Is the opening, where the heat is applied, as large as the VG's opening; if it is not, it may be difficult for people with disabilities that involve their hands to use. What are different people’s opinions on the vaporizer, taking into account the disability? Can certain limitations be overcome with practice, and is it worth it?

The ultimate question is: Does it bring something to the table that no other vape does?

Note: Sure you can combust in it, but let’s not take that into account. Just focus on its vaporizing abilities.

Yes the target is very small, smaller than the VG or even Lotus.

This vape shines for cloud chasing and is alone to come from Mexico (nice if you want to support the international vaping market!). Craftmanship and building quality are here too. Except decent thick vapor it doesn't bring anything else to the table...

Note: I was just telling I can combust if I don't pay enough attention since the larger airflow, i don't want to combust at all with all my vaping tools.

Now, I let somebodyelse to share its opinion about the NimbinVap...i know I'm not alone to use it!

Times are difficult and I'm in the need of money so I decided to let to go some vapes I didn't used enough and I have to choose between the NimbinVap and the Lotus about water filtered butane powered vapes!

The Lotus is great, full convection and it offers a nice taste and big clouds with more heating, NimbinVap is full convection too, taste a bit less good but can produces ton of thick clouds since the large chamber and the fast heating time. The abv is surprisingly never charred and uniform even with only one or two stirs and some shakes.

So I decided to keep my NimbinVap and let my Lotus go for another good home.

This vape is made in Mexico, get one before Trump close the borders!
