"One hit wonder" from the Dutch group:

Shocking Blue - Venus (1969) 4K
"Shocking Blue's 'Venus' is an iconic rock classic that emerged during the late 1960s psychedelic era. Released in 1969, the song quickly skyrocketed to international fame, reaching the top of the charts in multiple countries. Led by the sultry vocals of Mariska Veres, 'Venus' is characterized by its infectious melody and the distinctive use of the sitar, giving it a unique and exotic sound. Written by Robbie van Leeuwen, the track's catchy hooks and Veres' compelling vocal delivery contributed to its enduring popularity. 'Venus' not only solidified Shocking Blue's place in music history but also became a cultural touchstone, later covered by various artists."

And another from the same year my buddy calls "the coke snorting tune"... ha:

Old & In the Way
Just two days ago we had some of the highest winds in years, with driving rain, lightning and rolling thunder.
I know that storm system wreaked havoc on most of the US.

On the 2nd evening of the storm, I broke out the guitar and sang this song.

This morning (about an hour ago) a 4.7 earthquake tremor rolled through the area, felt in a least 3 states.

But the biggest issue our town is trying to cope with is increasingly worse riverine and coastal flooding.

All of these are in the first two verses of this song.
Not to mention the politics and zeitgeist parallels...

Who's up for a solar eclipse?

Shall I be the first (a day early)...? Almost 50 years ago:

Pink Floyd - Eclipse (Live at Wembley 1974) [2023 Master]

All that you touch
And all that you see
All that you taste
All you feel
And all that you love
And all that you hate
All you distrust
All you save
And all that you give
And all that you deal
And all that you buy
Beg, borrow or steal
And all you create
And all you destroy
And all that you do
And all that you say
And all that you eat
And everyone you meet (everyone you meet)
And all that you slight
And everyone you fight
And all that is now
And all that is gone
And all that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon
