Checking in... Just did a low temp bag at 360F... Gonna try and ride this one to shore...will report back on how long this lasts. I'm thinking I could probably get 4 hours between dosing if I just leave well enough alone.

I went over 5 hours before filling my next bag and still think I could have went longer. Easily another hour or two; maybe more. A pleasant reminder of the many virtues bestowed by this sacred plant.

Something to work towards, as I truly feel better in my appropriate dosage range. My thoughts are at ease but my creative mind wanders. Perfect.

10 years ago I was doing real microdosing: one hit per day. Always in the evening after work and everything else was done. I was making a gram last 2 months. Then I started living with some potheads and that went out the window.

Those days are long gone but Ivm trying to get back to 1 short session per day. I stopped for 11 days recently due to being sick. I knew it would double as a tolerance break, and it put things into perspective. It had been 8 years since i went that long without consuming weed. i was fine. It helped me realize I dont "need" it as much as my addicted self claims to, since my use is mostly recreational not medicinal. If I can keep it at 1 small session per day and resist going back to doing more itll be more rewarding in many ways.

The good old days when cannabis was more experimental, back when your stash was just like one nug. I couldn't wait for mom to go to sleep so I could pull out my homemade sploof, and that glass pipe I was borrowing.

@mccringleberry i think i did it about 18 months ago from 14g/month to 1 hit in the evening. Just after i quit combustion too and for sure you can quit easy without nicotine and the chemicals the highs fade fast too but when micro dosing they last for 24 hrs for me i was waking up baked.

People said on here how can weed do this i was not sure but now i know micro dosing kicked my butt. The problem is after a week i said i have already given up other things apart from sugar and weed so i said i would keep with the rituals. Micro dosing for me has no fun until you are hit with a sledgehammer.

Right now I'm torn between getting an OmniVap or an E-nano for microdosing. Very different vapes, I know, but they each have their own unique advantages.

Say I'm hitting the E-nano dry through a J-hook. Is the vapor going to be significantly hotter or cooler than the OmniVap? Or will they be comparable?

And can they both handle equally tiny loads?

I don't have the E-nano, so I can't do a comparison for you, but the vapor through my Omnivap is very smooth. I have not had any issues with heat at all. My Vapcaps hold around .05-.07 grams, and I usually can get 3-4 heat cycles/hits from each bowl. I generally only take 1, maybe 2 hits at a time, so a bowl of .05 grams can last me awhile. They are now made with an adjustable bowl (3 positions) if you want to use even smaller loads. You can also put less in the Omnivap, even with the bowl adjusted for maximum load. It's very flexible, and just seems to work however you want to use it.

@dgmulf I have no experience w/ the ENano but they are very efficient . Both have great reputations for efficiency. So it comes down to whether or not you vape OTG. The vapcap is my microdosing vape because thats what i do OTG. If I had a Nano I would use it for longer home sessions. Longer sessions w/ a vapcap or any butane vape is not something I want to do until the day the power goes out. Alittle too much labor for home use compared to my electronic vapes (but thats personal preference). But both will help you save on herb pretty equally. Im putting @ 0.02 in my VC which would be 1-2 hits for me if smoking. In the VC I surf it for 4 draws in 2-3 cycles, so thats 2 separate microdoses if I want it to be - crazy small amounts. crazy herb saving.

@dgmulf . I dont have either although for log vape, if helpful to you or anyone, I have been microdosing loads averaging 0.03 to 0.05, with succes in my Bamboo HI log with glass core heater.
Its also available with stainless steel heater which might be more comparable to a e-Nano. @Alan is very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. The Bamboo HI heat island is well worth it's asking price!! I didn't wait much long for mine either...
...my first "real" vaporizer , I love vaping and micro-dosing! Sometimes indulge abit more true yet it's amazing to see how so little can go a long way !

I'll have to go lower my "average load" poll score from 0.1 to 0.05 in the other thread :sherlock: Fuck Combustion, thanks for the inspiration!

My daily drivers are the Vapcaps. They are super efficient with your bud. I toke throughout the day and evening with tiny 0.015 bits that I tear off a flower. No grinding needed. Just pop a tiny nug in there and away you go.

Picking up the Vapcap removing the cap, popping in a nug, heating, toking and dumping the ABV takes all of a minute. Maybe a few seconds less. Easy peasy.

The Vapcap is tiny, efficient, beautiful and modular. It is an engineering marvel. It is considered indestructible. That it will work when all others fail gives me comfort. No worry about access to electricity, cords, electronics or batteries. It is a vape to last a lifetime and should be accounted for in your will.

Using a hemp filter screen sandwich takes the Vapcap to a new level. The already smooth vapor is transformed into the smoothest coolest non irritating vapor ever! Truely the best!

I pretty much get same results with my HI and can do a 0.015 load if wanted to and is just as fast to use... anyone have a glass core heater HI and a vapcap? I'd put 10 dollars the glass HI is smoother. Its smoothess I've ever had anyways.. not trying to be analyzed, just that 2 people had already vouched for the vapcap prior to my message. Thinking a hi log is closer to what the poster is looking for , it's all... I dont understand why everyone plugs the vapcap in every occasion presented , do they hand out a discount if mention their name ? True no need for electricity , cords or batteries but you do need a torch lighter ; ) So much for fucking combustion when you need a lighters my Bamboo HI itself probably cost less then higher end vapcap's. I guess I'll have to save and try one but I have other vapes I'd try prior like the shit fucker or erase , mi-log and others..

It just so happens that the VC a very popular vape around here, I own one and he asked about it so I answered him. But the VC is not something I want to session with on the couch (unless I'm riding out a hurricane). My Ti Woody VC doesn't quite have the flavor profile of my Alfa on the low setting but it comes very close. I just needed a solid non electronic OTG vape for packing 1-2 hitters and the fact is, the VC is one of the best for that. The form factor is one of my favorite things about it, so incredibly functional. The Sticky Bricks are just as good if you want convection vapor from butane. And I WISH I had an ENano or one of those other log vapes, they're all very impressive and efficient. So he can't go wrong with any of them, he just needs to decide what environment he'll be using it in which we can't determine for him.

Ground herb gives me much better microdosing performance out of the VC than popping a tiny nug in. A 0.015 nug gave me poor results compared to that amount ground up. The nug was actually too small to come into complete contact with the chamber walls so I could never make it work right since it's not really meant to be convective. It wasn't till I used ground herb that I thought, "now this is an awesome microdosing vape". I put organic cotton in all my vapes and it upgrades the vapor in all of them.

No, no discount.

The last few posts were in relation to a direct question about the Omnivap compared to an e-Nano for microdosing. Thus the Vapcap responses.

It's just a tiny, unobtrusive, extremely efficient, versatile and likely the most aesthetically pleasing vape on the market.

It appeals to people for all kinds of reasons; the semblance to the smoking ritual, the pocket friendly size, the modularity and ability to switch parts for functionality or just for fun, the simple robust build with nothing really likely to fail. I could go on,but you get the picture.

The Vapcap holds an appeal on several levels. Don't knock till you've tried it.... then maybe you will be waxing poetically about them too....even without getting a discount. :)

I love this time instead of trying to figure out how to get an OK hit off some stone age vape before combustion turns the load into a brush fire we are down to discussing the finer points of how to get the very best hits possible off any number of good vapes. its a good time to be a vape user, now back to the old MFLB if the battery charger isn't on fire, yet.

I always toke with the carb completely closed, pulling more hot air between the cap and chamber. I do this using a mouthpull toke, rather than mouth to lung. Maybe that's the difference? My tiny 0.015 nug always has lots of space between it and the chamber walls.

I just realised omnivap is same as vapcap, d'uh! totally makes sense for people to answer about it , my apologies. I don't wax, i stick to flower , which I obviously didn't have prior to writing my last post :) thanks for the clarification . Wasn't beating down the vapcap, it does seem very versatile (other then needing a quality torch lighter which needs refilling) unless using to stove top approach as I read in another thread. Honestly thought it was a case of someone asking comparison between apple & orange and people were screaming banana, or someone wanting a no maintenance desktop vape (no recharging or refueling ) , why I suggested another type of apple to dgmulf in case unaware of Toasty Top / HI log vapes. My fault for not processing or researching my reading in depth on Omnivap's Vapcap.. thank you for the compliments on my poesy skills, im not even tryin jist imagine lol. time for a quick, smooth , tasty, dry, microdosing hit :)

I smoked a .6 gram joint today of some decent bud and got basically a mild buzz. It made me sad to remember just how efficient vaping is... .01 gram out of my MFLB would have gotten me more stoned...or I could have used that .6 grams to load like 3 volcano bowls... makes me sad for all the people who only combust. So much wasted weed and it really just tastes pretty ass lol

But it also reminded me why I like microdosing too. Vaping is very efficient and can turn weed into a very potent drug. With a good quality efficient vaporizer, .1 grams of weed actually is quite a bit of high haha. Just was sort of a reminder of how my combustion days I didn't even really get that high and usually what held me back from smoking more was the smoking itself, not the high. Fuck ya for microdosing and getting all the high while using stupid small amounts of weed lol

Also has anyone applied microdosing to other drugs? I have always been one to use the minimum amount necessary, but this thread and my microdosing of cannabis has intensified my interest in microdosing other drugs. I had been wanting to try LSD for a while, but didn't want a full blown trip for 12 hours, at least not now. I ended up doing 1/3rd of a good tab of acid so I would assume around 40ųg and it was absolutely amazing. I rode the first 3 hours or so without any weed, then vaped on my MFLB intermittently throughout the trip and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. But ya was just curious what other drugs people microdose.

The lower dosage of LSD does not have a thing to do with the time of your trip. Some people go full Alice In Wonderland on the smallest of doses.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to most other drugs as well; it feels healthier. I often thoroughly enjoy taking micro doses of psychedelics, but to be honest, full doses are still my favorite.

Actually, I've recently been on a bit of a micro-dosing experimentation craze. I've been trying to find other psychoactive herbs that I can use medicinally. First I tried tobacco (Swedish snus); I decided that this one felt toxic even at the smallest doses (tightness in the chest), so I discarded that idea, although it did have some interesting effects nonetheless. More recently I tried kratom, with mostly disappointing results. Even as little as a gram of kratom makes me feel lethargic, even with the supposedly stimulating strains.

Next on my list is one that I've rarely heard of anyone microdosing -- salvia divinorum, which I'll try using the traditional "quid" method, or maybe brewing a tea. Some people say that it has antidepressant qualities.

I got 0 effects from quidding salvia and wouldn't do it again if I was paid.

Ketamine and LSD are 2 worth looking into micro-dosing but I just wanted to comment on how awful quidding salvia was - there are better kappa-opioid receptor agonists.
