MFLB lover: Help me decide on my 2nd portable.

Not to derail but a large portion of the decision to buy my wife's car was based on the fact that we have a child. Yes, passenger advantages played a major role in choosing that specific vehicle.

@ataxian AMG? Or is that just the wheel package?
I wish it was the AMG however I got the CHROME wheel package.
Most of my cars have CHROME Wheels.
My boys BLACK out the wheels.
Even my oldest son's Bike is BLACKED out:

The CHROME engine caps are now BLACKED as well as the bolts!

I'm still a old school chrome guy!

I say it all the time and sound a like a broken record (but until i find a portable thats better...), but I'd suggest the solo too. the wood tube might be a good idea to have as a backup imo... but get a High efficiency stem from planet vape. they come ins tubes and they make it much harder to break em. :)

as for the mflb. it was the vape that took me to flavour country! it's what ignited my passion for vapes. sure I had tried a bunch before that. but this was new, tasty and excited me. and here we are today.

Let's get back on topic.

One consideration that escapes a lot of people is that the LB is a one-hitter style device and most of the suggestions here are session style devices.

One-hitter style means the load gets heated only when you're hitting it. All the flame-based devices are like that, so is the LB. Other battery-powered one-hitters include the Firewood, the Palm (both versions), the Volta, and my favourite, the FlashVAPE. One-hitter style devices have a learning curve and require some technique.

Session style means the heat comes on and stays on. In a portable, that means it's always cooking the load. Some of them do it less than others (the Solo comes to mind) but they all do it. They shut off after a while to protect you from draining your battery, which encourages chain-hitting, almost like a joint. They're usually not as dependent on technique.

The differences are important to me. I like to take hits whenever I want and not because my session is about to time out. I am sensitive to the deterioration in flavour that comes with constant power. YMMV.

Alright. I am going to go with the Solo. The Da Vinci is very tempting but I'm deciding based on vapor quality and battery life. I already have a super stealthy small portable, so I don't think I'll mind the bulkiness. Now, to find the best online store....suggestions?

You're in the US and (unless its changed) PV is out of Solos at the moment... so I'd go with PuffItUp.com

If, of course PV has them and you want to get some of their accessories as the same time as the Solo to save on shipping then by all means go through them. Just remember that if you need to send it back it goes to Canada instead of California like with PIU.

I bought my LB from puffit up. They were good, I'll probably go with them again. What's PV?

The smoker I drink, the player I get.
Hey Malez - My MLFB is a paperweight since adding a PAX to my collection. I'll hang on to the MLFB but my heart knows it will probably never be used again. Arizer Solo spent about 4 days here before returning to retailer (taste).

You know the saying - different strokes! Give 'em all a try and see what powers your plane. Good luck.

I want to try them all! However, I am a lonely vaper with no friends who vape. And they're so expensive (but worth it!) I'll have to slowly build my collection to try them all.

Planet Vape is based out of Canada. Shipping would take longer than if he just went to eBay (OP's location says Texas).

OP made their decision already, but I would suggest them to cut the cord and get a Lotus.
You didn't read the previous posts did you?

Just wondering why you would recommend a retailer from Canada when there are literally hundreds based in the US.

Sigh.

Over the falls, in a barrel
I've heard people in California say that they get their PV orders faster than they get orders from some places in Cali.

Besides, PV is the creator (and therefore exclusive retailer) of some Solo accessories.

Malelz's first post was this thread. His location clearly stated TX.

What!? US customs is so shitty, very surprised about that. First class mail takes 1-2 days for same state, so I'm sure that is the retailer's inability to ship a product.
