Hey - anybody who got the wrong adapter from VapeWorld with their LSV - they have the right ones now, they sent me mine with free Priority shipping. They sent the wrong size tho :(. But it is the same one you get from 7th Floor. And I'm sure VapeWorld will take care of the size problem. The customer service dealing with this issue has been excellent.

I got the right size one directly from 7th floor, and I am surprised by how well it hits. I had no issue at all with the distance from the heating element. Only have to run mine at 2:00 instead of between 11 and 12, my settings with the wand. I even have it working with my incredibowl, cools the hits beautifully.

I have to say, it is so much sturdier than my Vrip VHW 2 was. I've already done half a dozen things that would've scratched or damaged that, and the LSV isn't even marked. It is a little easier to use the VHW with old combustion gear though - it works with almost any bowl if you get the angle and temp right.

Anyone else experiencing long processing times? I ordered mine back on the 3rd and it still shows as "processing" on the site :( :/

I also own an incredibowl, how are you using it with the LSV? I have been trying to think through how to do this with no luck at this point.

in two different ways -
1- my smallest incredibowl hitter fits inside the LSV, I pull the stem out just far enough that it reaches about half way in.

2 - I have a ~14MM rubber grommet that I've been using to connect my PD stem to my Incredibowl party bowl for a long time. The same thing fits the end of the transfer wand. Only fits some party bowls though, some of them are a little too small. This way has a better air seal but is cumbersome.

Just got my LSV yesterday! It is amazing.. I opened it up, plugged in full blast 2 minutes; while this was going on i ground up my herb. By then the 2 mins had passed and i turned it back about 1/3 and loaded up the transfer wand and plugged it into the LSV and pulled pretty quickly and was getting very tasty large hits. Mmm.

We just got these in..I can't wait to try one. I want to use the water pipe adapter and hook it up to my 3 ft ROOR and see how hard it rips. I'm sure it will be amazing.

This vape in general is great, especially with the glass on glass. With the water pipe adapter you;ll be in heaven. You can see the herb being vaporized, and the depth of the bowl makes for easy stirring (super great for stir fanatics). Let us know how you like it

I will agree it is great for stir fanatics. I often stir after every hit cause the screen stays nicely and it only takes a few secouns.

Just typed huge rant only to have myself logged out(slow typer)

Anyway got a LSV a month ago(too late to return it now) and have been disappointed ever since. First, Vapeworld forgot to ship waterpipe adapter. Got it a week later. Then the heat cover screen keeps letting my hi quality herb fall thu to the heater and ignites, and makes stirring my bowl a major ordeal. I basically have to hold this thing out horizontally so no herb falls thru--not fun at all. One of the main things that got me looking at the LSV was the video from 7th Floor where Steve thwacks the LSV against a table without batting an eye to show the durability. Well mine isn't thst well made. I can hold the LSV in one hand without the transfer wand, and tap it into the palm of my other hand(like a cop would a nightstick) and hear noises of glass and metal tapping, if I hit it as hard as Steve did my glass inside would shatter in a moment. Now I do not do that normally but if you are gonna advertise it that way I should be able to slap against my soft palm with no issues. Like if it rolled of my table onto the carpet, my glass would break beacuse the heat cover is too close to the metal I think. I am not happy with the Quality at all. This is not what I expected having used the SSV and DBV millions of times.
Next issue is upon sending me out a new heat cover(seems like this is not an isolated issue from what customer service told me) there was a metal shim stuck in the base of the HC and upon feeding it gently onto the LSV, it shattered in my hands.
Seems this too is common from what they said on the phone(why wouldnt you include instructions advising me to not use the new meatl shim?!!) with people using the new shim not the original one. Why even send me a new shim if it shouldnt be used? For $300 + I should not be having to screw around with shims and shit. This is unacceptable in my book. I think I should be sent a proper working LSV that I dont have to Macgyver to get it to work right.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas to help I would appreciate it. It's too late to return it. If 7th Floor would have proplery instructed me on how to replace my heat cover, I would of had a day to test it with the new heat cover and then decide to keep or return. But because I now have to wait for ANOTHER heat cover replacement, I will be unable to test it and then return if unhappy. I hate to even look at it because I feel like I wasted my hard earned money. After the way the 7th Floor people on here posted some neg comments on the VXC, I figuerd this thing was the shit. Now I have that feeling I should of spent my money on the Magic Wand or VXC instead.

Hopefully someone reads this and can help (or wants to buy a hardly used LSV)

Ok, I went through your exact ordeal. I'm on like heater cover 5 now, and it should be the last.

Heres the deal, if the Lsv falls hard and the heater covers usually break. I mean like even a table fall and swing to the side they break if the LSV is running. Oh and make sure to never handle the heater cover after using it even when its warm to the touch. It will still be fragile and probably break. Ok and you need more shims to put between the HC and the LSV. Ask 7th Floor to send you some or they will anyway when you ask for a new free heater cover if you didnt all ready. Email them and send them a picture of the broken one and tell em what heppened. SOrrry if you did this already. And yeah I'm prolly getting a VXC instead sooner or later(or sooner)

My glass heater cover also moves slightly, actually it even fell down two nights ago and burned my GF plaid. That pissed me off and even more my GF.
I put it pack and blaimed the shim, it's now back in place like nothing happen.

Also my LSV happened to fall from my chair and the heater cover did not break so eventhow it may not be as sturdy as expected it still is sturdy in my xp.

I also never had my herb falling onto the ceramiq element but I do always use my LSV horizontally, except when I put another screen to prevent the herb from falling...but then it doesn't hit the same and it's hassle to stir when needed.

Don't know if it helps but I thought I'll share my LSV uses for lurkers or anyone interested in more readings.

Thanks for the reply Nosferatu! Makes me feel a little better to know I am not the only one with HC issues. Any chance you may have a close-up pic of your heat cover with shims? If possible it may help me when the new HC arrives so I don't screw it up again. Also, when I spoke to 7th Floor customer service, they said that they lost a long time glass blower and maybe thats also why these things are breaking so much. She made it sound like they had received quite a few calls about it. I know we are working with intricate glass pieces here, but they just don't feel like the quality of the SSV/ DBV. For such a "durable" product name, I feel like I have to be very "dainty" when using this. I cannot see this product having anywhere near the successful run that either the DBV or SSV hsa had. I WANT TO LOVE THE LSV. I am not a complainer or "the customer is always right" kinda person. I research ALL of my purchases and try to buy with the head not the heart. Unfortunately this time my love for the PROVEN quality and durability of PRIOR 7th Floor products has not worked out in my favor.

I also emailed Chris from 7th Floor on Mar 28th after I had read his last post saying to email him if anyone has any questions...still NO REPLY. I am sure they are busy but 6 days with no reply after he comes on here and says to let him know if we have any questions, is just not cool. (I used the link to email him that was under his name in his last post.)

I should note that 7th Floor sent me replacement HC and screens for free once, and are sending me another HC for free as well. Top notch in that regard.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. Sorry to hear about the burning girlfriend...I bet she's really hot:)

If others could post their experiences with the LSV, I know I would really appreciate it. How do you use it? How durable? Any Mods to it? Etc.,

This thread seems a little bare, hopefully it's just cause all the others are enjoying the LSV experience and are to vaked to post.

Thanks for listening and sharing

I have never had any of these problems, and I would highly suggest insisting on a replacement. If you have one that is error free, it is incredible. It is the only thing holding me over until the Cloud.

Basically what I mean is this. Ok the shims are the little metal cyllinders that you put around the base of the ceramic element. This fills the space because the HCs are hand blown and arent all the same size. SO to get the HC nice and tight first put it on plain and see how loose it is. Then judge how many shims you will need to put around that bottom cylindrical base the ceramic element is coming out of. Then put the heater cover on but if its really tight just dont risk it, remove a little of the shims. If you need to cut a shim in half to get the right array for your heater cover do it.

I finally learned that you are not going to get the heater cover super tight and strait in the middle, you might, but if not just leave it or your gonna end up breaking it.

And 7th Floor you need to start making Thick cylindrical heater covers maybe containing the same thickness there is at the 18mm joint, all the way to the base.

And yeah no problem man people should know of the one downside to this great little vape. ALSO 7TH FLOOR. Tell your glass blower NO MAKING HEATER COVERS WITH A LITTLE HOLE BLELOW THE SCREEN. It needs to be big, otherwise there is an inevitable black spot on the herb every hit. Makes the vape a piece of shit suddenly and I need to order a new heater cover and hope its right.

@silver420surfer
xcuse my "bad french" I meant, it did a hole on my gf fleece blanket which I was using.
My gf was just really upset coz it was a gift and of course blamed it on all my hazardous vape toys :D

But if it actually had fallen on my bearskin, I would not be smiling at all, even less if it would have been my gf...so the more I think about it the more I think it COULD BE A REAL ISSUE that 7th Floor may face one day, so they should really solve that one.

Except that, I am super happily using the LSV daily since I got it, with glass most of the time, coz the wand is a bit to harsh on my throat at the end of a full day use.
They really should look into making a wand with walter filtration.
About durability, my HC is also moving a bit and not perfectly centered so eventhough it already fell successfully twice from a chair onto a soft ground, I would not try to use it like in the vid you are talking about.

Mod ?
none that I thought about.
Except I some time use the Novus transfer wand with its whip and the aquavape for when I don't want to use my glass but still want some water filtration.

I have use it more with resin since I last posted about that, and it works perfectly with any hash at the 12 position, even with the glass adapter

We are definitely taking in your suggestions and truly appreciate the feedback. If you have any questions at all, email me or customer service, and I assure you will take care of you. I have checked loads of LSV's today for HC fit, and they were all very snug. When on, the metal expands, so there should be an even tighter fit. If it isn't, most likely one of the shims has come out. If you have removed your heater cover, its extremely easy for the shim to fall out, and due to its size, be hard to locate. Sometimes people remove their heater cover, and its all too easy at that point for the shim to fall out and they never see it happen.

Again thanks for your suggestions and know that we are hearing and heeding them. Let us know what you need.

Sorry If I sounded pretty mean but one thing to consider most importantly is probably just a new HC design. Maybe one with a centimeter or so thick glass because these things fall to the floor alot with most peoples use it seems. Or the cord tugs iit off the desk. Might as well have HC's that wont snap in the middle when the glass is hot and it gets a hard fall. Because it does kinda happen.

Hey all--
Just received my replacement heat cover(no charge, under warranty) and am waitng for the 7th Floor video to be posted for showing you how to do it properly. I do not want to break one again. I also got the shorty transfer wand because I think the other one is a tad too long. Hopefully I will be able to let you know how it works out later tonight. I am hoping the short wand doesn't make the vapor a lot hotter. But it definitely "feels" better in the LSV than the regular transfer wand.
I also received an email from Chris at 7TH Floor regarding the HC's and he seems genuinely concerned to make sure we are all happy and have properly working LSV's. Thanks Chrs!

Last, but first in my heart, thanks for everybody who hopped on board here to assist me and give their insight. I really appreciate the way this community works!
It's very rare to find a board with so many intelligent, and just plain nice people.

Small Update: I received my shorty transfer wand for the LSV and have used it, not for the Vapor Tamer, but to replace the larger transfer wand. It "feels" better in the LSV, the larger transfer wand felt a little wobbly to me. It has the same bowl size and seems to hit like a champ, and the vapor is not really warmer/ hotter, which was my main concern. Taste is out of this world...guava kush never tasted soo good. After I replace my heat cover with the new one I am planning a final review, good or bad. I hope I end up loving thie LSV as much as I want to. Thanks for listening.

Hey NOS---
It appears 7th Floor does consider customer feedback. Recently I received my free of charge under warranty heat cover replacement. Guess what...no more little hole under screen in heat cover!!!!! I did not notice it when I first received it because I just set it aside waiting(STILL WAITING 7th Floor) for the video I was told they were making to show you how to "properly" install a heat cover since some customers were having issues doing so.
Well today I am having some issues with another of my vapes so I decided to break out the Dime Bag and fire up the LSV instead. I plugged in turned it on with my original "small holed" ill fitting(but workable for now)heat cover, My attention was drawn to replacement HC as I never really "checked it out other than to see if not broken. Noticed right away thru the screen how nicely sized the hole is below it. I'd say at least double, but don't hold me to it. I will attempt to replace the old one later on I am enjoying a half packed transfer wand as I type. Boy you cannot beat the taste around 1145 to 1200 on the dial. Evenly spaced between nice cloudy hits (some choke me if I hit too much at once, maybe because I am 3month+ reformed cig smoker) and HANDS DOWN, BEST TASTE of any vapes used or owned. I am starting to REALLY like this thing.

It took a little on my part and 7TH Floor to get everything properly working, but to their credit, definitely now worth it. This is a purchase I would make agian if I had to do it all over.

Review and some pics forthcoming I promise.

Cool Silver I felt bad because I sounded kinda hostile but I just really wanted 7th Floor to get those minor details right making this a very good vape. NYC Diesel it is an all around great vape the only annoying things are those minor things that bother OCD people mostly, like what we were talking about. But to be honest as much as I love this vape I think I'll be getting a VXC, its just different technology is all. But I would nominate this best ceramic element vape ever.
