I believe the demos that I saw earlier, in order to use hash, you needed to remove the glass and use the ceramic heater itself.

So far on my 4 minute adventure to that site I saw them talking about durable portables and not suggesting the MFLB. Then they were talking about vaping MOIST/FRESH buds!!!! Then they recommended a vapir product!!!!! I knew that FC will be my only vaporization forum from now on.

I don't update that website very often. When I started it, I didn't know about FC :peace:

FYI - I recommend the MFLB all the time. I also recommend Vapir's new portable because I like it.

How well does this vaporizer attach itself to a bong/water pipe? Also, how effecient is it with a bong/waterpipe? Very curious about this one...

I havn't got the time to try with hash but will be back.
@masbanji92
not sure yours is running cool, I know I thought mine had a similar pb like yours when it appeared that my friends one which was running hotter was the one with the pb.

Removing the cover is only if you want to use the LSV as a flameless lighter similar to a phedor.
Fuck combustion! I only use the LSV as a vaporizer. The LSV will vaporize hash just like plant matter but requires a little more heat. I keep the LSV set on 3 o'clock for hash.

For those that have asked about water pipe usage. I do not use the 7th floor adapter. It is way too far from the heat source. I use the LSV with a Luke Wilson slide, it is the same diameter as the LSV.

I dont wanna sound like a shill but I cant get over how great this vape is. Ive never used a more efficient vape, it just never stops hitting. I know its the same design as the DBV, but it hits way longer, way tastier, way more potent, and you can pack so much less to get GREAT vapor. I am amazed, I think my search for the perfect vape has been found, the only thing I see being even comparable to this would be the Cloud, but who knows.

This puts my DBV, PD, and MFLB to shame, its all I ever wanna use. And 7th Floor seems to be taking things more seriously now, they have given me super fast great service. I am finally feeling good with this 3 year warranty and a simply beautiful vape, its the closest thing to smoking, yet its all just potent smooth vapor. And after you are WRECKED from a .1 bowl or less, the bud is usually still GREEN, just slightly brown. I dont know what they did different, but this thing works differently than the DBV somehow, it takes your bud a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNGG way! :)

Bu really the reviews on this seem pretty impressive and I have to admit that I was surprised by that.

Man.. this puts me right on the edge for this thing. If I could find it a little cheaper, Id pull the trigger. As it stands now, the Cloud is probably going to do the same kind of stuff and I already have one of those preordered. I need to sell some of my existing vapes I guess :(

I have been using a technique that seems to be much easier to do:

Pack the wand and place the mouth-piece end in a 14mm downstem. Works perfectly, and makes the process a little more easy, because you have less accessories to worry about. Also, it allows for the herb to be just as close to the heat source as using it with the wand alone. The people I know that have used an LSV say they prefer the herb-heat proximity of the wand over the water-pipe adapter.

Thanks for the vid, EE, but man, that looks kind of cumbersome to use, eh?

My friend has one, and his LSV came with the water-pipe adapter (the actual one from the site), and its SUPER easy to use, way better than this method. I just got my LSV from VapeWorld, and apparently they don't give you the actual adapter, they give you a VaporBrothers hose adapter :/

Once I get the actual adapter (another $30) I will post some better vids with better lighting, quality. I just felt like doing it out of the blue

Have you tried hitting it straight from the tube sans the bong and if so, how was it, and do you need to hold the tube up at an angle to keep the bud from going back into the heater?

There is a screen in the heater cover and a screen on whatever attached. This allows you to use it at any angle without worring about anything touching the element.

What kind of hash are you using with this thing? That's the one thing I haven't quite figured out how to get into a vapo. The nail and torch just are too much work :S

Good morrow all,
Finally back for a quick hash test report on the waterpipe adapter because I haven't had much time to give it a try w. hash before yesterday.

I used around 0.1g max of hash from marocco, but not first quality.
Yes, I could/should have try with more, but I really don't like hash so it would have been a waste :).

Fisrt 2-3 hits @ 12 o clock, i just got a light taste and barely no visible vapor.

I did grinded it up, bu as expected, within the first two hits, everything had melted back together.

So to to stirr it, one has to use the pock stick lightly, but this is not stirring anymore.

After thes first hits, I put it full throttle.

It then gave me nice clouds, and worked good.

Imo it heats enough to vape hash, BUT it's true it could use a little more heat for thicker hash clouds.

EE's way might be a good idea to help, or one can put the gauze at the top of the water pipe adapter, maybe this would help a bit too.

The big con here, is that as with a lot of vape it's a hassle to vape/stir/mix the load because of the melting nature of hash.

Whats vaped hash spose to look like wen its done anyway? I remember vaping it in DBV and it usually hit forever and still looked the same?

Ime hash gets darker and looses its meltiness and stickyness to become more dustlike.

That and no more vapor is what tell me when the hash is done.

Another option is the use a ground glass whip form the SSV or DBV and hook that up to the LSV. Then you can use a ground glass water adapter from 7th Floor to hook it up to your water pipe.

There are a lot of possibilities... But I just use the water pipe adapter that came with the LSV. I know, I know, the plant material is so far from the heating element, but it's never given me any problems.

I actually agree, my LSV was defective because it ran way too cool, a normal temp LSV shouldnt have a problem with that distance, I think its closer than the DBVs bowl even maybe.
