You may have to hit OK to see 18+ items.

Here is the link to it: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/life-saber-vaporizer

We have a separate thread for massdrop discussions.

Thanks, didn't know that. For those wondering, here is a link to it:

LSV users, I have a couple questions for you!
What is your recommendation for small bowl loads?
Do people prefer the shorty wand over the regular?
Best way to set it down without it rolling all over the place?
How conservative is using the WPA with this unit?

Thanks for all of your help, I love my SSV to death and I think that an LSV would be ideal for multi person sessions.

(Also, does anyone know any discount codes for 7th Floor's website)

Massdrop didn't pan out so I took matters into my own hands and ordered from Vapornation with FC16 coupon code. Stellar deal with some awesome freebies thrown in and free shipping.

I may be doing the same, although for 30 bucks more I could get a custom glass knob and customized coloring from the 7th Floor website. Decisions, decisions

In my experience (had 2 custom knobs for my SSV and used to switch them to my LSV for the decorative look) the default knob is best knob. You handle this vape ALOT, having something decorative and oddly shaped on it is like putting a jewel in your sword handle. Maybe it is for some people who are very careful or don't use it constantly, but for me I like it clean and efficient. As to people's questions about keeping it from rolling, I used those livestrong style rubber bracelets to make a heat-shield/rubber-foot for my unit that works wonders. Good for passing to people who don't have forge tempered hands, they just only touch the rubber. I just took a picture because I am too high to explain the setup I think.

Also, all that blue stuff on the cord is electrical tape. I made a cord protection mod by wrapping the base in electrical tape, then one layer of wire wrapped coat hanger in a spring type shape, then an outside layer of electrical tape, then some zip ties just to keep everything clean and in place. Hope this helps people decide what model suits their needs. Kinda wish I had bought mine when they offered black.....

This is fantastic advice. Great point, I will probably not choose a custom knob in that case. I can totally see it getting in the way.

Just to add some color regarding my decision making in purchasing from Vapornation: for $194.86 shipped (with additional $19.40 given back in reward cash), I got a blue LSV, 14mm shorty water pipe adapter, free "metal grinder" (sure it's prob cheap, but needed one anyway), and free digital pocket scale (.1g accuracy). You can't customize the colors more than that, but if you can live with one solid color then I think it's a pretty decent deal. Interested to see where you end up purchasing from. I couldn't find any coupon codes for the 7th floor website unfortunately.

Darn, does it get that hot? Was hoping I wouldn't have to don the "sock hand" like I do with my Thermovape Evo, but alas, definitely not a deal breaker.

Yeah, that is a pretty sweet deal. Was looking at that myself. I don't know if I want to spend the extra 20 for the custom coloring. The extra gifts don't mean much to me, but I do like that they are an authorized dealer.

I went and pulled the trigger on a black LSV from Vapornation using the discount.
LSV, 14mm WPA, grinder, vacuum container = $194.86

Not too shabby. I really wanted a purple ventilation section, but I suppose I could buy that later of I really want to.
I will likely try to rubber mod to prevent rolling. I have a Firefly and an SSV, I am hoping the LSV will live in my music studio, as I need something that hits hard, durable, and can be passed to band members to be used one handed. Love my SSV, hopefully the LSV lives up to the name!

Anyone use the shorty wand exclusively?

I use the shorty or a incher that charliedontsurf made for me.
The ultra short one is best for travel.
The official shorty transfer wand is great and mice looking to boot.
I have not used my long wand in about 2 years.

Do you find the shorty to be harsh at all? More mouth-drying than the long wand?

I recall from some other post that you use the DBV mainly as your daily driver - I was planning on using the LSV as mine since it will be my only desktop unit for now - are small loads pretty doable in it? What kind of setup do you recommend for relatively small dosages? Not quite Zap small, but not too much more than that if possible. Thanks.

SSV is used the most of my 7th Floor vapes...
I don't find it harsh, but many users do.

I load up about 2 PD (Zap) stems worth.......approx .05gr. 2 to 3 hits sets me just fine for the evening. That load will last me about 2.5 days.

Wow that makes me very optimistic that I can use it as I intended to. Glad you chimed in, given your renown for conservative vaping. I will probably go through a little more than you but that really helps me understand what is possible with the LSV. Seems very versatile... can take it easy, or blast off... Thanks!

i have the feeling that most of the lsv users go through way more weed with the only proper reason that its just possible :D i do like vaping about 0.2-0.3g per session, it gets me ultimatively high, dont get me wrong. there was also a lot of training involved before that was possible

It is my first high powered vape, so I make no promises that I will stay on the conservative track :).

Hey guys

So since the massdrop didnt pan out I was lucky enough to snag an LSV for 150 from another member, but today when i was finally cleaning out my retired combustion bong for use with it, i broke it shaking it and accidentally hitting the sink (its really clean though?). Even less fortunately, i have already ordered an 18mm to 14mm male-male adapter, so i need another 14mm waterpipe.

I've tried looking a little on dhgate and the cheap glass thread on here, but was just wondering if anyone could give me a link to a nice cheap 14mm bong or bubbler i can use with my LSV when it arrives (if it can be packed along with the LSV in the included go bag for taking to a friends even better, but not necessary). Thanks in advance!

Thanks @Vitolo ! Saw your link above, that tree perc is perfect if only it were in stock (and 14mm). It seems the best options are always going to be 18mm ones... I'm going to look into how much a cheap little 14-18 glass adapter would be on eBay I suppose...

EDIT: somehow they cost more than the 18-14mm male to male adapter I already bought... So yeah a cheap 14mm bubbler would still be best if they exist.

EDIT2: looks like that same bubbler is on dhgate where it also comes with an 18mm male to male adapter, so I just wasted $8 on the 14mm one I ordered, but at least that'd cover me. But how long does sunshine glass take to ship to east coast US?

Or maybe this style: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-bubbler-hand-blown-glass-vase-perc-water/175832535.html
Or this one: http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d021-glass-water-smoking-color-pipe-with/184390558.html
Would be better options?

Can't edit anymore, feel like I'm spamming the thread so sorry to any/everyone. But just wanted to delete most of my last post to say I landed on the D020-T (http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/d020-t-glass-water-pipe-with-honeycomb-disk/187214376.html) after checking the cheap glass thread. So I'll be back in a few weeks when I have them both to let you all know how they pair up. Thanks again for all the help!

I think you made a great pick that looks like a great pipe. You could always get something completely different down the road for a contrasting experience.

Let us know if it hits like this (similar perc):

I was thinking about something just now but feel like someone has to have tried this before. If you have a pipe with a male joint, could you use cloud ELB's or the arizer extream basket in the 18mm joint of the pipe and then attach it to the LSV heater?

So I live in the basement and during the summer it gets insanely cold due to the air conditioning and I think its making ah huge difference in my LSV, getting whisper hits and not as many either. Taking longer to heat up and its not getting as hot unless I turn it up farther and then it usually vapes the weed to fast. I'm guessing the only solution would be to make my room hotter? Also would there be any difference if I plugged my LSV into a extension cord opposed to a three prong adapter? I've been using more power through it as I'm using the LSV as well. Thanks in advance guys!

Having read through this thread quite a bit and having no direct experience yet (mine comes today), I learned that proper electrical current is of utmost importance as the LSV has a good chance of underperforming if it is not plugged directly into an outlet. Therefore you should try plugging the LSV directly into an outlet, if not a few different outlets for testing purposes, and see if that makes for a better experience.
