Discontinued Inhalater XP

the difference is that these companies u are talking about are producing millions of units...for inhalater it took them 20 days to ship the first 10 replacements and pulled back again the production...i dont think there is a comparison between these two...

Sure about the DOAs, but the Apple antennas had the problem with the release with the iphone 4. It wasn't because it was produced in millions and there were a few outliers. There was a flaw with the unit itself until they fixed it.

I hope they get everything under wraps. This vape seems to be the only "pure-convection" vape out there. Hopefully everything works out and we can see a XP versus Ascent showdown! :D

I'm not sure how you guys can vape at 1-4...I cannot get anything bigger than wisps of vapor. Am I doing it wrong?

thats weird because i can hardly stand to rip it on 3. the throat hit is crazy and when i use my tongue to block the hit air its just too hot on my tongue. so far 2 is my max... unless im running it through water of course. i can comfortably rip it at 6 with water.

so mine seems very hot i guess. even on 1 i can produce a decent cloud, but 1.5-2 seems about as high as i wanna go. my ABV is coming out just how i like it... an even mid brown.

anyone else think the XP is hot? none of my other vapes even come close to the throat hit im getting with my XP. even a steady pull is too much. ive been using a slow pull with good results, but i really want to honk on this thing.

I think once you get used to it, it wont be as harsh and hot for you. I remember it was hitting my throat hard the first 3-4 days using the XP.. after that and now it isnt bad at all and I STILL go straight to 9 sometimes and get big hits with no harshness or irritation..See how it is after a week of using it? I remember another member reported the same problem and came back later saying it wasnt as bad any more.

I dont think you can really "honk" the XP because the heater will get cool from the massive hit..

I had the same heat problem at first. What I found was packing the load down helps to slow the draw which gives you less heat. I will suck up a whole capsule full and then pack it down to half or so.

^ Yep

If you really want to honk on it, fill your capsule up, pack it down, fill it again, pack it down.. Basically just stuff that sucker with weed.. Man I've put a blunt worth into my capsule before and was blowing unbelievable clouds..over and over and over.

I've literally had capsules last me 40-50 minutes doing just that and it hits like a blunt to.

Yes this is how I converted my blunt smokin homeboy to a 250$ vape lol..
When I owned the Pax and Solo.. I still lit up a few blunts every day.. Just because of the ease of clouds and that smoking sensation.

The XP basically stopped my smoke-blunts-every-day life style. Now I am spending money on glass to match the XP with rather than boxes of blunt wraps/swishers. Saving a shit load on my weed too.. I used to smoke up an ounce in a few days now I have weed sitting around for weeks.

I was sometimes up to 10+ blunts per day LOL
Now its more like 10+ capsules :brow:

I agree, I have noticed that my replacement XP runs hotter than my first unit. I too am vaping between 1-2 (without water filtration) and getting plenty of vapor off that level, even through a water piece I can get decent vapor at 1 once the herb has dried out but that quickly gets bumped up to around 5 or 6. This thing kicks my ass, loving it.

Just tried the "fix" and opened the inahalater as the manufacturer requested. Never been so disgusted in my life. Lmao at paying $250 to open such a fragile device yourself. I must point out that Ive been upgrading my own computers for a long time, I also used to repair xbox and ps3s.

That being said, the video doesnt even specify where to dab wd 40 if youre not taking it out completely, so mine was on its way to be fixed but the cable was way too lose and the if youre doing thid procedure for the fist time you will damage your unit guaranteed. The cable was already out due to the sloppy way of gluing it to the circuit.

Now Im left with a damaged ugly looking unit that I must sent back and $20 less from buying the supplies to "fix" it.

Pretty disgusting experience.

So disgusted right now Im just going to wait

In other words ... scar tissue?

I've got one of these on backorder from planetvape. Wonder if I'll get the new and improved electronics or the problematic version? I placed the order on March 18.

I am a tech geek and I treat all of my electronics like they're newborn babies, to see my beatiful unit get opened and shafted in the process really broke my heart.

The question is: Will we get a brand new device for the hassle of being advised to buy the tools and fix it ourselves, or were just get handed the same device that we broke. Even the plastic bulb that covers the charge light came off, this is some serious bull.

Can someone advise me how to clean it for shipping and where to send it? Im so disgusted I dont want to keep looking at it sitting there rendered useless.

You will get a new unit. You won't have to ship the old one back. contact admin@inhalater.com. They were very easy to deal with.

I think they planned on having to replace a lot of these first units.

Edit- I guess you do have to ship them back now.

It is actually a combination of conduction and convection. The heat chamber wall transfers the heat to the circumference of the capsule (conduction) and when you inhale, you pull heated air through the capsule (convection).

Greg from Pharmocor told me the last shipment were calibrated too hot and I would definitely agree with that.

Units produced up to this week were calibrated too hot. We reduced significantly without detriment to cloud production.
Thanks for effort in trying the DIY repair. We will send new unit over. Will arrange return with an included envelope.

Very right, it is better trying to lubricate the potentiometer while leaving it in place. If attempting switch DIY Please see new video

I really think this early harshness is just something burning off the unit. I had the same issue with mine, but I forgot to do a burnoff before I started using it. I couldn't stand the harshness the first day, it was unusable without water. Within a few days I could use it at 9 easily with whip tubing alone.

So on those units is it actually possible to combust if you go to 9?
