Herb Grinders

Space Case is the best, if you get one you wont have to ever worry about another grinder.

I wish I could afford a 4pc space case. I could easily afford a 2pc, but $75+ is getting up there, even with the FC discount.

Anyone have any thoughts on the 1.5'' Kannastor? Seems likes not very many people have had experiences with it, although it looks like it could give space cases a run for their money.

What are most people willing to pay for a Grinder these days? Over $50 seems a little bit high for just a Grinder....but I see many Grinders going for $75+. Are those Grinders really that good?

I would never spend over 30$ on a grinder.

My 10 dollar, 2pc. grinder from Blissville works amazing for me. I have a 4pc that i got for free from puffitup.com if i need to grind larger amounts at one time.

i agree on the prices problem with the SC as well. you can get a 2 piece 3inch SC Ti shipped for around 30-33 bucks. add a micron screen and the price jumps to around 100 bucks... wtf? this does not justify that high of a price jump.

how do you get a discount for space cases (2pc) from vapeworld, gratefulbuys, or puffitup?
I drove out to Costa Mesa to the distributor to pick one up myself. :p Ended up costing half of what I see online since it was "B-stock" and purple instead of black as they wanted the Ti ones to be. I know not everyone has that luxury, though.

Does anyone own any of the Kannastor products?

not very many people have one as it seems since i asked that question just a few days ago. i just got one though, a 1.5''. they look pretty sweet and seem like they'll do a good job. I like the hole placements but only experience will tell if it will be good or not as a grinder.

Cool, that's the model I was going to pickup too! Could you post a few pictures or maybe a video, if you have the time? (also, where'd you get it?)

I'm buying it straight from kannastor.com. And also...I haven't received it yet. I haven't gotten a shipping confirmation yet either, just FYI.

I emailed Kannastor asking if they offer replacement/extra pieces for their 1.5" grinders. I'd really like a second storage piece if I end up purchasing a grinder from them. (for either double the storage, or a more refined kief..)

Aside from that, the only thing I'm worried about is the magnetic closure system. I'm clumsy, even when I'm not vaked, and it'd be a nightmare to drop my grinder and spill all my herb. :uhoh:

OK Smoking E and NYC, I am officially a grinder collector now :) Just ordered a small SCTi 2pc and a 63mm Titan 4pc. Add that to my two Mendos, cheap plastic freebie and a small metal freebie and I have a nice little collection going. Can't wait to see which I'll use the most. Probably use a 4PC to grind and collect then use the small SCTi to fine tune my grind. LOL or I could be over thinking the whole thing cause they are fun. I'll comment when I decide.

I have a small kannistor 4 piece grinder. I like it a lot. It seems to do the trick. The grind is pretty fine, but I do turn it upside down to get it super fine.

Lost in Thought
Well, I think its finally time for me to start looking for a decent grinder. I think Im pretty much set on either the Mendo or the SpaceCase. Ive been using the Vapeworld Special 4pc and it has treated me well for quite some time. My biggest bitch about it is the accumulation of grinder hash that gets it all sticky and hard to turn. (Its more of a PITA to scrape it out and get alum shavings in the process)

Is this a commonality amongst pretty much ALL grinders? Or will I notice an improvement by spending the extra $$$ on one of the afore mentioned?

Is it possible to get a really fine grind with the 4 piece grinders (more specifically, the space case one)? I'm trying to purchase a grinder atm, and I want a 4piece for kief collection. I need a grinder that can get produce really finely grinded material for my MFLB. However, I've been hearing that the 2 piece grinders can produce a finer grind compared to the 4piece grinders..

I have a cheap 2 piece grinder atm that seems to produce results that are good for rolling, but I don't think the grind is fine enough to be used optimally with the MFLB.

get a coffee grinder. they grind your herb super fine and collect alot of kief. i have the 4 piece from vapeworld. its perfect for grinding herb for my wdz, but i prefer coffee grinder for mflb.

yeah, a lot of other people recommend using a coffee grinder for use with a mflb. i'm just a bit skeptical on the maintenance and size of those things..

after a little more research, i ended up deciding to go with a 4 piece mendo mulcher grinder as I hear they can grind the material noticeably finer than the space case grinders. i hope i made the right choice..

yes i own the largest they have and it is ok! but i hate the tooth design and for 80 bucks i would say it has to have a better screen as this one allows all kids of booo crap through :(

Mesh size on screens is personal choice. Some like 'em fine. Others prefer a coarse screen. It can be hard to know what you're getting when you buy online and haven't seen the grinder up close.

You heard wrong. There's very little difference. Both have a lot of teeth, with large holes and a lot of 'em. Mendo's as good as any though.

IMO there's no need to upgrade. I use nothing but cheap grinders these days. There's no need to scrape your grinder either, unless you're trying to save what you scrape off. You won't get aluminum shavings even if you do, unless you're using a diamond tipped blade or something. The easiest way to clean a grinder is with ISO and a toothbrush.

I remember doubledown asking me about the color on a sharp crusher. yes it is some sort of coating, not sure what kind of coating [paint or whatnot] but it does wear off. i took a look at my friends sharp 2.25" inch and it was wearing down to the bare aluminum in the threads.

Hey Thanks guys for all the advice I looke at sharpstone and mendo but went with the titanium space case 4 piece. It is really nice and I think worth the money I spent. Funny enough I bought it online from a site selling sharpstone grinders ( www.sharpstonegrinders.com) but they carry space case as well..
Anyways Thanks again and happy grinding + Vaping. =)

I have a 4 piece small size Space Case titanium and am quite happy with it. If I'm being honest the only reservation I have is that I probably should have just gotten a 2 piece as I doubt I'll ever accumulate enough of any fine screened material to use for anything. My 4 piece titanium small size was $50 cash, and I couldn't be happier.

When I wanted to get a grinder, I wanted something I could buy and use for the forseeable future without ever looking at other grinders with envious eyes. I bought the space case because I wanted what I heard was the best as price was no object. Just as with a vape, this was something that would be around for a while and so a slightly larger initial investment would pay dividends down the road.
