Discontinued Haze Square

So I tried to cover the air intake and Im afraid that is not air tight.....this is my inconsistency!
I tried during the draw to squeeze tha haze between my hands and it is much better.
It is 80% air tight like that, much better clouds and much better efficiency(more draw from same bowl than before).
Shame because it is juts a detail that change the performance of the haze square by much.
Obviously can't use it by squeeze to much...don't want brake it.
Now Im not sure what to do because Probably from vaposhop ue is going to be same recipe
I believe that Haze has been very clear that we should not expect to be able to cover the air intake, pull like hell, and have it to be air tight. To me (and I guess Haze), its sufficient that the air path only have less resistance than any other possible avenue for incoming air. But, put enough vacuum on it with the intake blocked and yes, we should expect to get some air flow even with a proper seal. So, sadly that's not a good test for seal integrity, apparently.

I believe that this is the same as the Solo and Air but can't swear to that.

That's a relative thing. It's not 18mm Mi open, but I consider it a very easy, open draw.

I dislike the air and the solo for that one reason. Always feels like you are sucking on a clogged straw. The V3 on the other hand had a very free flowing air path. If it similar, I will have no issues.

Pretty sure I got a bad seal or something, trying to hold it together and stuff not getting much clouds very whispy :(
Using the pro, tweaked it to highest heat settings

Added*
Been playing with it for most of the day, was able to use 2-3 bowls and battery is completely dead.
Will not charge after usage, maybe the unit is too hot?
after maybe an hour the unit finally started charging.
I will take photos later but I do feel I have to press the unit together for it to produce better vapor, noticeable gap is reduced when pressed together ><

Disappointed that its not as functional or as polished as the haze v3, will try it out again later but... meh

So, I'll be sending in the unit, appears I may also have a seal problem, but I wonder if its that or something else, when using the unit again I noticed the red glow from the heating element visible through the gap made me think of the comments other users were having about the inconsistent cloud. Hopefully this will get addressed as well; I'm sure like others we've all been anxiously waiting and hoping for something to get rid of the sour taste, I know I am. Back to e-nano while I wait on this to get addressed.

Haze Square came and so did I! First hit was magical. Things a bit beefy but I’m impressed by the first toke. Good, easy draw resistance and on point flavor. Man, that flavor. First impression: this thing is like a FF2 revolver. Turn the dial, fresh hits. Turn the dial, fresh hits—ad infinitum

I’ll share more after it’s fully charged.

Unfortunately it is not just the air path, few messages ago I olso stated that I have to run high temperature to make it go.....wispy vapor at 400(lucky I have the pro and I can change temperature)and good vapor production at 450 and that just can get good extraction with a full bowl...just a little pressed.
Same about have to squeeze the square for better air flow resulting in more vapor production better efficiency and effects.
Luckily haze asked me to send over to them for a seal fix and back to me.
Hopping that is going to be no to long,im worried because I will sent it next week from Spain.
Haze customers service is just amazing

Is the square small or is the square wall charger block freakishly large? You be the judge.

Just finished 4 really good bowls in a row, just about dialed in. I sure hope folks sending theirs in for a seal fix gave it a fair shot for learning curve before deeming it faulty.

My charging block (or cable) still doesn't work right though.

Mine is arrived and charging

What is the way to tell if I have the wrong seal installed? I can pretty easily squeeze the unit and the two halves tighten closer but no idea if that means anything or not. If there is a clear way to verify this that would be helpful.

You need to check the ring around the heating element...not sure exactly how to troubleshoot, but load er up n see what happens. Depending on when yours shipped they might have run a thorough QC on it before sending it.

Yea, my charging block or cable doesn’t work either.

Just had another 4 of that-first-fragrant hit in a row. It’s surprising me. I’ve always longed for a vape that can deliver ever-first and fresh tasty tokes ongoingly. This might be it.
That great first two super fragrant hits that you know is better in a vape than anything you’ve ever smoked is what the novelty of this thing is. Imagine 1 gram straight of every hit tasting like the very first taste.

What’s the technique that is working for you guys? Some of you are staring it’s working really well can you elaborate on how you are vaping? Temperature? Holding button fully during draw or taking finger off and then re pushing it down mid draw? Long draws for over 10 seconds that are real slow?

I just combusted twice in a row. I must not understand. Is it like a FF2 where you coax it or ride it with draw? I can’t tell why I’m combusting instantly

Just that dude
I currently have the old and new charger. It's definitely an issue with the new charger. So, not the cable. If @Haze Vaporizers gives me a blessing, I could take a look and figure out the issue tonight if they haven't already. And possibly a fix for the diy peeps.

We did receive several complaints about charger not working but we only received two of those units back so far. We fixed the seal problem on those units and tested out the unit/charger and they were charging fine.

We asked few others to send their units back so we can check their units but we don’t see an issue so far.

I also want to explain that not all USB-C cables are created equal. I keep reading emails, comments/posts that most people are trying to use random cell phone, pad etc cables rather than using supplied cable.

Please note that other cables need to meet certain requirements like minimum of 5V/2-3A delivery etc.

I am not sure if some customers are using blocks or cables that are shorting units but like i said, until we receive few actually failed units, it will be hard to tell.

I will reach out to members here via PM who made a comment about a charging problem over the weekend. Please feel free to PM me as well.

I have quite a number of PM list to respond to tomorrow between seal questions, shipping inquiries etc so i do appreciate your patience with me.

It is getting easier to produce the good vapours with my square. Someone asked about technique, but for me it's hard to describe. Part of it is learning how to "work" the button, and use the right cadence depending on where you are with the bowl. It's kinda like using a Triihouse Daisy, you "feel" your way through it and it becomes natural. I'm about 16 pods in and improve a little each time.

Reversing the cable didn't work for my charger issue, but thanks for the suggestion whoever advised that - it was worth a shot. I can be patient about it as I can still charge with the data cable.

@Haze Vaporizers

I am utilizing your charging black and cable. But it has been blinking red for almost 5 hours now. Already unplugged and let sit and plugged back in but back to a few hours of the same...any suggestions?

Apart from the issues customers are having, I'm surprised how many customers with working units are talking about needing technique for good results and having combustion episodes. I do understand that with convection vapes this is more common of course, but my grasshopper never combusted and didn't require any breathing technique... I haven't used it in months because it's currently broken and unreliable. Also the vapor is pretty harsh. I guess I was hoping the square would be more like a grasshopper with 4 bowls, longer battery, and more reliability.

I sometimes enjoy vapes with some technique required, it makes them more personal, loved my fw3, the primer puff required. The problem for me with these is I want to hand a unit to someone so they can rip it and not say, well breath slow while holding the button, then let go and increase your drawer, then press again, then etc etc. Of course this is preference for me, but with 4 bowls of this size, I assumed this vape is meant to be shared and either I am a bad teacher or my friends are dumb :lol::lol:

Can anyone compare the technique required by the square to another vape? Or just comment on how difficult it is in your own words if no comparison :) thanks!

Sure, you press the button 3 times to wake the vape. Then you hold the button until it flashes green. Inhale while holding in the button, if you are a long toker you will want to develop a personal method for pressing the heat button at intervals to keep the Haze from "timing out" due to holding the heat button for a great length of time. This vape is easy guys, don't let the quirks in production/performance steal your interest in it. I too had many GH and they all went down the road. I also enjoyed the EV when it worked......
The Haze is like a functional GH/EV hybrid that is supported by some great people. The button use is very similar to a few custom produced wood convection vapes. Just press the button and vape. If your unit is not working correctly, send it in. For those still on the fence about buying the Square, pack up your favorite method and wait a bit for some more reviews. There are a bunch of convection snobs in here that are waiting for this vape to make them happy too. @steama sorry to hear of your non-functional experience.
With a properly running Square, I believe that you will find happiness.
This morning it was 3 clicks, 1 press and last night's bowl tasted like the first hit.....

How about battery life?
Which temps are you using? Which batch was your square?

I got my haze and i had ordered the adventure pack. I got all of my accesories except my pods..i got total of 6 and was supposed to be either 12 or 14.. I think 14 total..but got everything else..i really like the unit..seems a little misaligned but with how it works it seems likw they did a good job..leather case isnt bad but the silicon sleeve is a piece of junk..lol..sorry to be blatant but it is what it is..on to the vape..at first it wouldnt turn red when plugged but i turned unit on then turned it off and it started charving with red light and all.charged the unit up and went to use it and besides the green light being a little wonky as in 1 time it went blue right after i atarted hitting it, then the next time it stayed green thw whole time i had it depressed..anyways on to the vapor..ive only stayed on the blue temp which is lowest i think and i got big clouds. Im almost scared to go higher in temp..of course i will but im getting nice smooth clouds on lowest temp..hope it doesnt run too super hot or something..but im loving it ao far..it got me straight blazed. Gotta be the different vape signature..great job ao far guys..and i hope you all get your issues fixed so you can get good vapor like us wirh working unirs.

Used this with my family 2 people who haven't vaped. They both figured it out after I showed them to just wait for vib. I asked if they ever inhaled and didn't get a hit and how they felt.

They agreed it was easy and worked every single time. I was also hitting from the bowl and had no issues. They didn't need long inhales and never passed it back to me saying I think it's done. That surprised me.

I did reach combustion last night but that it's really a concern considering I was probably in a temp that was borderline combustion. Most times because I let it heat up but didn't let it stabilize to the lower temp and give me the green.

However you guys can easily set a higher temp and use this like an instant heating manual vape. I'm sure lower temps might even be safer and tastier.

Definitely stream tonight I'll edit this post with the time of stream within a couple hours.
