Discontinued Haze Square

LOL. Ok sure. I'll just bring those with me.

Wouldn't help anyway because you can't CHARGE the battery unless it's installed.
dude...just get a powerbank that can charge at 3+ Amps.

problem solved.

my phones charger is a USB C...but it only has an output of 2.4 A and takes alot longer to charge the square.

honestly though it sounds like the square might not be what you want it to be, I don't think there is a way around that.

its not an 'all day battery' vape, its demands for power are pretty high and I will carry mine with a strong backup that can survive those charging periods...though it has pass through charging and you can just vape while connected to a power bank or wall outlet

1) If the air is not directed properly, you will get low/no vapor production.

2) If the hot air is not directed properly, you will have to keep pushing the button down longer to heat the non-sealed air which will cause you auto-shut off.

3) If the hot air is not directed properly, you will have to get your temps way higher than what they need to be to get decent vapor.

4) If the hot air is not directed properly, you will waste way more energy and your battery will not last as it should.

Than I think mine it is working but not properly....it take me high temperature like above 400 f and a full bowl to get 10 good draw each one with steps of 10 f every 2 draw...efficiency it is worse than any other vaporizer I got
Im afraid that mine as well isn't working at full potential!!shame...but let's see how haze is going to fix it.
No sure about because I ordered from vaposhop in ue
Any suggestions haze vaporizer??

I am sorry for interfering but few hours ago you seemed very excited.

What happened since then?

No, I did read every post here first. I missed no comments. I watched all the videos.

No replaceable batteries though, that's a huge mistake in my opinion. It limits the unit's usefulness so much, especially with how slowly it charges and how HUGE the charger is.
Sounds like your unit just needs some adjustments from Haze. I read every post as well and I had 0 surprises when I received my unit.

And my unit charges up super fast with their charger. Which should be resolved when you get the unit back. I haven't once gone "oh dang, no battery".

It am exited and so happy to have it and working but olso notice by the comments that mine aswell isn't very efficient it is working well just with full bowl and need very high temperature maybe due to no perfectly sealed.
I know that haze is going to make some video with troubles shots and make sure that everything is going well for every one.
Like I said Im a vaporizer enthusiast and I known that haze square have a lot of potential but look like not everything is working perfectly.

Our commitment is to get users a 100% functional products, without flaws and as advertised. If we don’t meet our commitment, we will work day/night to correct it. We will pay to correct it but we cannot afford to send/sell trial units to see how customers will feel them in their hands or whether it will fit their usage scenarios. I am sorry about that but a good working square will be well sought after even second hand/used once.

A disappointing response. IOW buyer beware.

I guess it's good to make your policy public, shoppers will now have more information to make an informed decision.

Wow, not to be argumentative and we are all entitled to our view of vendors, but who else provides refunds for items that are basically owner preferences and desires and not an actual fault?

  • Not everything's positive - my Type C charger doesn't work, I don't have a C port on anything so have only tried it with Wall Charger, it won't flash red. If I use the data cable I can charge it from computer or an android block plug. I will send @Haze_Vaporizers a pm
  • You do need to dial this in with correct grind and personal temp sweet spot. I'm finding my best results are with a finer grind than my usual and higher temps - ymmv
  • This thing definitely medicates well, no regrets there, nice signature so far
  • I have gotten whispy vapor a couple times and also combusted once, so it's not foolproof. Combustion risk seems mostly at the end of a bowl when it's driest and with high temp setting and a hard pull.
  • It's fun to experiment with the temperatures and LED colors
  • Another negative, I have triggered the overheat shutoff (I think) while taking a long draw, it cuts off power and the unit feels hotter than it should. Doesn't always happen. Is it possible my seal is slightly off so doesn't always cause the seal issue?
  • The loading/reassembly tool is very handy IMO
  • I am impressed with the design of this unit, it seems very well thought out with nice touches such as the MP design with a slight tab-ridge to be able to pull it out of storage. The cooling airpath in the lid design is quite fascinating, I have not dissassembled yet but look forward to that.
  • Overall still happy, I've had a lot of bad luck with portables, but so far this one is finding it's way.

They are vaporizers. This isn't circuit city, where you can buy (rent) a product for a few days, take it back with the receipt for a full refund.

It's common that anything that touches your mouth or private parts can't be returned and resold.

You can't try out a Fleshlight then return it for a refund .That's basically what you're trying to do. Strange.

I think everything is going to be fixed and haze have a amazing reputation ,it is offering a 10 years warranty and saying that they going to take care of everything.
I think the porpoise of this forum is to share knowledge and support the community but I don't understand why we need to get upset and attack the manufacture...I don't think is going to get things moving faster or help any one.
When I bought the square I knew what was going on and I and I was sure that everything was going to be fixed(reason why Im posting here)
Hope that we can get some useable info instead of scare people by complaining

As well-known member I guess you know that there is no return in any device. It must have serious assembling or functioning issues to be replaced. Otherwise why should a company take back the units? It is like you go eat sushi while you want eat burger. Your choice what to buy.. None pressed you to get it.

I bought the Starry that is amazing value for money. Not for me. I sold to a friend. I did not ask the shop to give me something else because I do not like the vapor or is not what I want.

No offence to anyone but please guys and girls stop asking crazy things. We all are simple consumers. Not stars...

So I got my Square today, threw it on the charger, took the cat to the vet. Returned home 45 minutes later to a green/charged light. Ground up some fresh Lemon Skunk (.1g) and put .03 in 1 chamber and .07 in the next. Hit the lightly loaded chamber from the first level 2 times, then raised the temp and hit it 2 times and finally raised the temp to 3rd setting and hit 2 times. I like this vape, it will take time to find your groove.....
Checked the .03 chamber and there is still love in there, just need to raise the temp next time I hit it.
So the Square will effectively vape .03, on lower temp settings. I am sure if I placed the full .1 in one chamber the clouds would be more evident. I do not use vapes to blow big clouds, I use vapes to inhale big clouds. Very whispy at the lowest setting, gaining in vapor density as the herb dried and the temp was raised higher. Too early to tell if there are any ill fitting seals, but for my money and the customer support, I am quite satisfied.
I did not bother to clean the unit whatsoever and there was zero evidence of factory taste, residual burnoff. I am perhaps lacking some of the finer senses, but I am also getting too old to give a shit.....
Hang in there fellow FC'ers, all will be made right.
Thanks Haze!

So I tried to cover the air intake and Im afraid that is not air tight.....this is my inconsistency!
I tried during the draw to squeeze tha haze between my hands and it is much better.
It is 80% air tight like that, much better clouds and much better efficiency(more draw from same bowl than before).
Shame because it is juts a detail that change the performance of the haze square by much.
Obviously can't use it by squeeze to much...don't want brake it.
Now Im not sure what to do because Probably from vaposhop ue is going to be same recipe

What temps were you using I am curious, you pack bowls like I would if I had the device. So kinda curious.

Also using the thing cannot be that difficult? I hate complicated things. But don’t you just press the button,
Let it heat. Once it’s heated keep holding the button and do slow long draws?

I also think people need to focus on the positives on this vape or give user experience they are experiencing. It’s a new product. There will be issues. I hate issues and I always wait for them to be sorted out before I invest. Hence why I haven’t bought yet.

I just PM ed you on the other forum. Let me know of your contact info and we can look at it for you. Covering the air intake and expecting no air flow is not an accurate expectation for Haze Square. Even if you have a perfect unit. If you cover the air intake, it will restrict the air flow but will not stop it.

A lot of companies put the customer ahead of profits. In the long run everyone benefits from great customer service. And in a small segment of commerce like vaporizers, word of mouth as regards to customer service is huge. Most vape companies I've dealt with have been very positive, a big plus in my book.

And most customers who have dealt with Haze have been very satisfied. Yes not everyone but you can never make everyone happy.

You indicated that they need to be up front. I feel they certainly have been about their return policy as well as resolving issues in a transparent way.

Tbh, I use best buy just to try stuff out for 2 weeks. Then if I like it, return and buy it somewhere online for cheaper lol. So, a return policy like that definitely only helps me and doesn't help the seller make a sale.

I don’t know of ANY company that will take a used “dry herb” for a refund. Almost all glass places I know once you walk out the door with the piece it’s yours for good, unless it’s unused.

Pretty sure I got a bad seal or something, trying to hold it together and stuff not getting much clouds very whispy :(
Using the pro, tweaked it to highest heat settings

Added*
Been playing with it for most of the day, was able to use 2-3 bowls and battery is completely dead.
Will not charge after usage, maybe the unit is too hot?
after maybe an hour the unit finally started charging.
I will take photos later but I do feel I have to press the unit together for it to produce better vapor, noticeable gap is reduced when pressed together ><

Disappointed that its not as functional or as polished as the haze v3, will try it out again later but... meh

The way I look at it, even though there are some issues, there are others who's units seem to be working fine, so there's no need to overreact and start bashing Haze. I actually just got an email that mine was fixed, definitely had the seal issue, and it should arrive back tomorrow. No biggie.

I am still waiting on those delayed accessories, though...anyone with the first wave of 420 Squares get their full order yet or heard anything? I thought I read that they were going out this past Wed, but never got any type of notice.

Ok, may be able to shed a little light on a few of these.....

You got the charger right I think, it's defective or at least partially. I will say I was very impressed with the charging times. I was very excited to hear they went the C way rather than traditional USB-A. I haven't used mine for a while, but saw it sitting there last night, checked the battery and it was red, so I threw it on and it was charged up in about 20 minutes. I wasn't watching it or waiting, but I was impressed. That was using their power block and cord.

I had been using the same grind I always try to use, a shred more than anything, it helps with cleaning a lot of my vapes. The only thing I have noticed is that the moisture does affect it. All my stuff is stored with 62% Boveda packs both during cure and after, and it can take a hit or two to dry it out. Not unusual, but something to watch.

I agree with a lot of your other comments......

As for the overheat/shut off, I think it has a 10 second timer. I can take a slow steady drag at a low temp and it still shuts off then. As mentioned by a number of people, you can take your finger off mid pull without stopping the hit and push it again to complete. It's already at temperature so there's no delay and a 15-20 hit is very possible. I think there may be a reason for this, possibly just overheating, but maybe @Haze Vaporizers can chime in on the dangers of this practice. Once I had everything seated properly, the only time I was looking for a longer hit was thru water when I was really going after it. Then again, maybe I don't have all of the facts of your situation, I would think there is some sort of temperature protection.

For those of you saying you didn't get all of your accessories (not including those who ordered thru second tier distribution, don't know what was included with your purchase) but they mentioned that the accessories were held up and would be shipped later.

I also saw a comment by a member here that they were disappointed in the leather sleeve and that they wanted to return the "plastic". As far as I know, they have only offered a silicone sleeve. I have one on order and I believe it's shipped so I'll soon know if I like it. Silicone anything can be hit or miss for me. Sometimes I love it, sometimes there's far too much play and it's a hindrance. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly........

I'm glad to start hearing more and more positive results for people. This could be the convection superstar that so many think the Dual was!
