So here's a bit of a fuck you.
Having surgery on Monday. Just heard from them with instructions... No eating past midnight Sunday. Ok. No alcohol for 3 days before. Damn. No weed for 3 days before. What? Shit. I'm already a bowl in!. Guy says today is ok, but next 2 days are a no-no. So no get high all weekend, then it's probably not best to cough after abdominal surgery.
The worst part actually, is that the weed is really helping me manage the pain & is keeping the nausea at bay. So I have to go two days of feeling like shit. Yay.
And fuck you about that whole needing someone to take you home from the hospital thing too!

I felt the same way about my old mate Mr 11mm Kidney stone. Only a short term friend but four months of constant pain only outweighed by the anxiety over "is that a twinge or a full blown attack ramping up" still lingers in my nightmares.
Very small amounts helped me with kidney pain. Not too much though, just a tiny bit. Also it is damm important to have someone with you after a general anaesthetic & you certainly cannot drive.
I would not wish it on my worst enemy but my balls would tingle with joy if Drumpf & Dense had simultaneous kidney stone & gallstone attacks.

I am so glad I've never had kidney stones. I've heard those are the worst. 11mm is rather big, as I understand it... Owwww...
As far as the driving is concerned, I don't do that anyway. The hospital is within walking distance & I take public transit everywhere.
Last couple surgeries I've had (for hernias) an old girlfriend came to spring me from hospital lockup. 1st time she escorted me home, then split immediately. 2nd we got in a little mini-argument when I said I was fine & just took the train home myself. There was no reason for her to take the train home with me & then just split when she could do that right then.

Yeah, fuck you to hernia surgery... Since my inguinal hernia surgery 6 years ago my right testicle feels a pull on it. (that's the side of the surgery.) I was relieved to find out the pain was caused by gallstones, as I didn't want to go through hernia surgery again. I was also a bit nervous about the mesh, as I've heard some bad stories about disintegrating mesh, and I've had several weird bumps in the area that are like acne that won't pop.@gaseous_clay you forgot to say Fuck you !!! to that old girlfriend...

It was the movement of the fucker that killed me. When Mr Stone was chilling it was a general burning/tender sensation in my kidneys but if he decided to go walkies.... Indescribable pain levels & the worst thing was how quickly it could happen. I am talking from perfectly "fine" to barely conscious on the floor in minutes. The only lucky part was the severe attacks usually came between 11.00pm-5.00am so when I went to hospital I was usually seen quickly.
Six trips to emergency before I got surgery & even though I had private health cover it was all free from the Government. Never having been hospitalised as an adult I expected to be paying something but all I had to do was sign my discharge papers & get my scripts.
I hope you get someone to collect you from the hospital but that ex GF sounds like a right old cunt.

@vapviking not sure if you will approve of this post but I'm saying Fuck You! To my nieces cancer. On Mother's Day I went to visit her, she is now in a coma. It started as a melanoma. She has been fighting for her life since this nightmare started. She's losing the battle.
We have a large age group on FC. It spans many ages - 18 to 75 or older. Also folks that are sick are going to be spending their time on this forum more than folks that are out there working. I had some time off due to a surgery this past year and that's how I spent my time, on FC while recovering.

I apologize for the earlier rant, in so far as I should not have disparaged the plight of others, nor mocked the fuck you's folks want to throw at illness. I do feel compassion and see how this whole FC place is a haven for anyone who has such struggle in their life. I lost my father and dear sister to cancer; I'm so sorry about your niece.
