"FC" or "Fuck Combustion" Bubbler?

Many people seem to feel strongly about whether or not to put the word Fuck on a bubbler, but I find it hard to tell whether more people are Pro or Con. Let's see what a poll says...

Interesting. I don't think it's a question of being able to handle a bad word; after all, we're all on this site. I'm plenty old and plenty experienced with all kinds of language, but "fuck" is a strong word and I'm not sure I want it on something I'd share with friends, or something sitting on my desk, etc. On some level I like words to retain their power to unsettle or shock, and not become just another bit of verbal detritus.... Having said that, I actually don't really care that much about the bubbler--I'm more interested in our attitudes toward language....

i am totally for FuckCombstion.com on it. IMHO just "fuck combustion" is a statement to me. i think when when people will look at the piece they will ask "why does it say that"? and that s cool if you want to explain that to everyone. but if it says FuckCombustion.com everyone will know its a web page and will either ignore it or rush to their PC/Laptop/Smartphone/tablet and look it up. seems like good advertising and awareness for the site. if it can't be the ".com" then i would vote for Fuck Combustion as my second choice

no label or just "FC" seems totally the opposite of what the project was for. the project was for a bubbler that was for the "Fuck Combustion" community. if it doesn't say it on there at all... then how is it unique to our community?? just because this community designed it, no one will ever know that unless

A. they go to this site often enough to know about the project and the details so when they see it they go "thats ours"

B. we tell them but then it's just "words" and no proof that anyone other than the glass blower designed it

To be honest I've never been that fond of the name of this website. I would have chosen something a little more subtle and a little less offensive myself. I mean, 'lovevapor' for instance just sounds so much nicer, doesn't it?

That being said it is still the FC bubbler, & don't think the abbreviation alone would really say it but I wouldn't want it just saying to screw something, anything, so following that reasoning I chose the .com option.

I have always been fond of this website and the 'founding fathers' chosen name. Nothing speaks 'detest' more than the word 'Fuck'. I probably feel this way because,,I rarely cuss. The only time I say 'Fuck', is to add emphesis to the extreme feelings I have about something I extremely dislike. Smoke,,,,being one.

Great thread and input everyone, once the poll results are finalized, it will be 2 weeks for the chosen template to be made.
We still like one exactly like this, remember it is on the front of the downstem, inside the bubbler and because of the frosted appearance, it doesn't scream out at you, it will be small and subtle, almost this exact size as the downstem is very short..

Is another week enough time time for everyone interested to cast their vote? If we give it until Sunday October 7 at midnight PST, we can then place the order for the template on Monday October 8.

Stu, you may be right. If we are going after the exact logo, you are right. That is the only way it would work. Damn, I had always pictured it like I wrote it.

maybe a small 1 square inch FC logo pressed into the glass or something, but that's it IMO. I'm a sucker for clean glass.

It will sure be cool when this thing gets made. I also hope the question never arises on whether or not the name of this site is appropriate.

Having given it little to no thought I'm feeling strongly ambivalent.

I love the words Fuck Combustion.The word FUCK is a kick in the arse to the fun police.Lets not worry about their nonsense.Its just a word not a bad one,a very good one and we should honour it.

better hurry up before its banned to use it or say it in public
