OK, final newbie questions:

1) Is it just as easy to move the ss between the 3 bowl settings as it is with the titanium . I'm a spaz when it comes to being nimble with my fingers. Do you guy typically change the screen position & does it really make a difference?

2) How long can I expect the screens & gaskets to last on average with light (weekend) use. And, I assume that the high-temp O-rings wear out 1st because they're thinner.

3) The Amazon reviews on the Vertigo tri- & quad lighters seem good; that it's a decent lighter. Any thoughts? I did order some good butane from Amazon.

4) Probably gonna extra mouthpieces. Do they work good? "Cause I heard the grasshopper's doesn't.

OK, I'm done. Thanks guys! Happy Shopping! And, I hope, we don't crash the site.
no screen movement on SS. Gaskets last a long time if you don't lose them.
Mouthpiece works poorly with the M IMO.

Summer, having trouble setting your screens, (ss or ti), where you want them in the tip? Pick up a 1" M-8 stainless steel bolt and two nuts. You can set the exact depth by adjusting the nuts and locking them where you want them. The nut limits the depth.
One suggestion, buy a good lighter. You can buy a ton of lighters for cheap. How long do they last? Someone on here cleaned the outside of a lighter with iso and the plastic tank dissolved and started leaking.
I have no horse in this race, but you will spend a lot of time striking that lighter. If it's not comfortable to use you will get tired of it quick.
I use a Vector KGM Pyramid. Look it up you will swear it was designed for the VapCap. If it quits working just pay for shipping and they will repair it. I placed a VC magnet in the cup to hold my VC. The cup gives you a place to rest the VC while spinning, and it amplifies the click.
Use Altoids tins, place coins for weight, a VC magnet on top. You have a heat sink to pull the heat out of the cap, (resets the click). The tin amplifies the cool-click also. Happy VapCaping. Doc

These new designs look gorgeous. Will the new Omni be a noticeable improvement from the previous generation Omni or is it strictly visuals? @TRDreviews do you have an earlier model to compare?

I love the idea of the M's and this sale seems legit! Does anyone else kinda miss seeing the glassy versions though? One thing I always loved about my OG was seeing the glass cloud up!

I do, I can share a pic later today if you'd like!

This is lathe porn. This is porn! This isn't a vape anymore it's porn. *nods* uh-huh, porn.

I forgot the quote. I'm not even vaked. Here we go:
@VapCap love the helix, especially like the fact they match the grooves on the Ti, ;).

These M3 metal blanks look great, a bit weird to turn. Dust and/or proper ribbon shavings in different places on the blank.

@VapCap you say you're looking for feedback?

Hope I'm not spitting in the dyna-church by saying this, but I have to say that the cap reduces the premium feel of the wood and/or titanium construction.

I understand that the cap has been designed to thermal specifications which ensure the timing of the click results in vaporisation instead of combustion, but if I could give one piece of feedback it would be to somehow make the cap out of thicker metal so it doesn't feel so cheap on an otherwise very premium invention.

No offence meant and kudos on the new omnivap, it looks a lot better than the last gen in my opinion.

Final thing, will you offer the XL omni in wood on your website?

Well I have to say that m deal is too tempting. I haven't been using my og much but it's always been in the back of my head that I'd want a ti tipped vapcap at some point. So I'm planning on getting an m and a ti tip, is there any reason I shouldn't? Looks like you can't buy the ti glassy anymore and the og seems to be gone as well (unless I'm just being daft). As I was going to go for a ti glassy because as I understand the ti tips don't fit ogs. Anyway I'm stoned and off work so I'm rambling. Have a happy day cappers peace!
My current favorite set up is using the Ti-Tip from my woody on my M.

Dynavap say that because the stainless steel condenser on the M is produced to less tight tolerances than the Ti ones, they may be too big for the Ti-Tips.

On mine i find the SS condenser provides a slightly more restricted draw than on my woody, and i like it. Still free flowing but just a tad more restricted.
On another M it maybe slightly more or less restricted - given the lighter tolerances used in the production of the SS condensers.

Hope that makes sense.

No. There is absolutely no reason not to buy a Vapcap. Any Vapcap. The M and a Ti Tip is a good choice. Inexpensive Vapcap with a premium tip. That's a win win in my books.

Do I understand correctly that one can remove the condenser from their M and run an omnivap xl condenser through the M body? I'm trying to decipher from these two videos. What can I say, I'm too high
Yes, if you replace the SS M Tip with a Ti Tip.

1) Is it just as easy to move the ss between the 3 bowl settings as it is with the titanium . I'm a spaz when it comes to being nimble with my fingers. Do you guy typically change the screen position & does it really make a difference?
I set my the screens in my Vapcap tips once initially, then remove and replace at each cleaning. I only do this because I place a degummed hemp fiber filter between two screens to create the smoothest most heavenly vapor ever. If I only used one screen I would likely just clean my tips with the screen in place.

Some microdosers love the most shallow setting. It's personal preference. I microdose and just let a nug torn from a flower rattle around in the chamber. You will find your screen placement sweet spot. The only way for you to know is to practise practise practise....

2) How long can I expect the screens & gaskets to last on average with light (weekend) use. And, I assume that the high-temp O-rings wear out 1st because they're thinner.
Just trying to figure out what accessories I wanna buy.

I have been using my Vapcaps every few hours almost every single day for a year and a half now. I overstretched one oring and it needed to be replaced. It was my fault. The orings will last a very long time if our don't abuse them.

Likewise with the screens. They last and last and last.

If you are considering which replaceable parts to stock up on with your order, check out my post below in my signature entitled Vapcap First Aid Kit. You might also be interested in the Vapcap Tips.

Ugh, sorry to beat a dead horse, but is anyone else seeing the sale prices? It's well past 7:10 and I'm not seeing the 20% off, nor the $20 M vapcap...

Greetings,

It has been a long time coming. I’ve been paying attention and listening to those making posts, as well as trying to assist with phone calls and customer service. As always, our objective is to learn from our customers and continue to improve our products. So, if you are new to this forum or our products, your feedback is helpful and most welcome. This includes anything anyone thinks we can improve upon. Please tell us. ☺

So here is an update from the VapLab. We have been working intently on one of our favorite products; the all titanium Omnivap. Here yet again, I need to commend Jason.

We have been discussing how to bring it back, in terms of design and features. Many ideas back and forth, but in the end, the angular design of the NonaVonG was the inspiration, and Jason took it to the next level. This new geometry helps in several categories.

Here are a few of the first bodies off the machine.

And dressed up ready for the evening.

Moving forward the next piece of this modular puzzle (which has been just out of reach for too long.) The Omnivap XL. Here it is sporting the new geometry just in time to join in on all the summer fun.

Everything begins with first impressions and what we have received so far is good. Multiple leads of facets with a variable pitch helical design. These facets provide a new level of tactile feedback and grip as well as a whole new appearance.

And a hand picture for old times and size comparison.

IMG_20170629_112957768_zps9iyniy4v.jpg

Also, all OmniVaps for the last week or two have been shipped sporting our new titanium condenser. It took a while to get it figured out, sourced and dialed in, but we now have it. OmniVaps are now all titanium except for the cap and the O-rings. Here they are, and both size mouthpiece and condenser assemblies will be available as parts. The new designed body and now stem will also be in the parts section by the weekend.

IMG_20170629_114059971_zpsqkzmtpl2.jpg

The new Omnivap continues the evolution of our titanium components and is the first glimpse of what our new in house machining capability is all about. We hope it is a welcome update.

This redesigned device presents a great opportunity to elaborate on why we elected to try machining all of our metal parts and create our own in house machine shop.

It would have been far easier to out source this type of machining and make large numbers of exactly the same thing.

We did not out source it because it was too important for us to not only maintain a tighter grip on quality control, but also so we could streamline improvements and continue the development and evolution of our entire product line. This provides us the ability to take suggestions for improvement, or new ideas, from concept to production very quickly.

Last, but...

Beginning on Friday, June 30th at 7:10 CDTpm we will launch our Battery Independence Day Special. This time of year seemed like a fitting time to celebrate independence from batteries or any singular heat source for that matter. DynaVap will have 20% off our entire site outside of the custom builder options.

In addition there will be something special for all of our existing registered customers. These details will be in an email direct from us to you. Enjoy the “fireworks.”

Cheers,

George
Can't say I don't adore the new design, I am amazed actually, but I would like to see the earlier, simpler design stay as well. It's still an amazing design! And with a lower price than the new kid on the block hopefully. :2c:

Thanks ever so much Squiby for your answers & links. Thanks to everyone who replied!

Only remaining question is: Considering how often you smoke, how often do you have to remove/clean the screens & replace the hemp? Cleaning a vape sounds akin to having to wash my makeup brushes.

I never have to clean my CCD screens as they stay gunk free which is nice. All my gunk resides on the chamber walls of the tip. As for how often to change the filter, I use organic cotton filters and change it every 2 sessions. I put the filter between the tip and the body/condenser which makes changing it fast and easy.

I clean my Vapcaps once a month. The hemp filter keeps the condenser completely free of any tiny particulates and very very clean. Just moisten a Q-Tip with your favorite cleaner and run it through the condenser.

The tip can soak upside down in a shallow bath of cleaner, then swabbed out with a Q-tip. The hemp filter is replaced with a fresh new one when I clean the Vapcap. I can tell it is time to clean the Vapcap when my flavor goes off. I've never left it so long as to actually clog it up.

Another cleaning option is to soak the condenser, tip and screen in the doob tube that your Vapcap comes in along with your cleaning solution. I use a non toxic cleaner that does not seem to degrade the orings so I don't tend to remove mine.

After cleaning I rinse thoroughly and let dry before reassembling.

No, not an XL condenser. A standard condenser

All bodies are 45mm long. A standard condenser accommodates a 62mm configuration. So a 45mm body plus a 17mm mp = 62mm.

The standard condenser will also accomodate a 62mm stem without a mp.

Stems are 62mm long. An XL condenser accommodates a 79mm configuration. So a 62mm stem plus a 17mm mp = 79mm

If the cap was made thicker ,then the whole operation of the VC would 've been way different .
