I'd love to see a 6.5" rig fritted to match up use of my Toro macro

I have two of the smallest DG bubblers and they are both within 1/8" of 9 inches. I think it might be tough to find one 8.5 inches but it may be possible. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I have a glow in the dark fritt new style can that is just shy of 9 inches. Then my original can is just shy of 11 inches.

Oh well, I would have a width clearance issue too anyways, the base is just too big... Well on to the next thread.

Do you still have your 'original can', & if so what are the differences besides height/volume? Do you prefer one over the other? I have been interested in acquiring a bent neck DG piece, but all seem to be less than 10in. that I have seen over the past 3months; does anyone know whether or not the larger mini can(~12in) is still in production? 11inch is my sweet-spot, & I would probably find the 'original can' quite comfortable!
I'm not particularly interested in the 'strait' DG tubes & I prefer bent neck mouthpieces. This leaves me with his non-convertible models..which is kind of a bummer given I don't dab errlz ATM( & never have:tinfoil: ). I assume using a 18mmF>18mmF adapter on a DG direct-inject, would be quite close to using the 'convertable' model without the fritted-glass screen. Am I wrong to assume this, or does the airflow suffer with the 18mm Joint, compared to the 24mm Joint? :suspicious:

They get pretty much the same airflow IME.

The convertible 24mm joints are so beefy that the ID of it compared to the 18mm joint on the mini can are pretty much the same.

Thinking of getting a DG mini can as a small piece to sit beside my lattice bub. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to the world of glass and I'm not really sure how you'd measure not enough/too much diffusion. I've heard too much diffusion can hinder the taste a little but I don't know from first hand experience. My glass collection is very small and up until the lev bub it was very low end stuff. Will it milk? And will I be satisfied? I suppose those are the most important questions in my mind at the moment

I have a mini can and I love it with the VXC, milks easily. The trick is to use very little water - I use enough water to cover the fritt, any more and you can get splashback because the thing stacks so much. It's super smooth and I like the can size. Do note that DG minis come in different can sizes, I've seen some with large diameter cans but most are the standard smaller size (mine is one of the standard ones.)

I have a lattice and a dg tube. I love and use both daily. The taste is fairly similar between the two ime but the dg hit is what my mind can only describe as "fresher" with the additional moisture the disk diffusion gives the vapor.

It's between the mobius Ion matrix and the DG mini can, but I think i'm swinging towards the can more. What's the joint size?

All the DG mini cans I have seen are 18mm male.

I have two dg mini's(one for sale this second in the classifieds) and they are absolutely amazing!! I really don't do dabs(have tried some out of my original to expensive to make). But my cloud fills them like no other. I have even used my supreme vaporizer in it and also my solo, both work great with the solo having some suction restriction. Still nice! I don't think it loses to much flavor either IMHO.

how much is this piece worth? i might be able to get my hands on it by trading one of mine + cash =]

I like the look of that piece, I'd've preferred a dewaar on the can to make the whole thing look a bit cleaner, but its sill a pretty spiffy piece.

If DGs past comments are anything to go by though, that things gotta cost $1k+...

    Edit:
That was referring to the worked/removable mouthpiece one.

Sonics, that looks like a convertible with worked frit.

I paid $300 for my 13" non-worked frit convertible, and that was during a 15% off sale.

I'd guess that on is worth anywhere from $350-$450 depending on height etc.
you might want to check out what they sell for on alt (the only online retailler of DGs I know of, though NVS have a site for their headshop which is ok too)
Another edit - my price wasn't including the done or nail or anything, just the tube and the 24-18mm adapter.

wow he said hed take my ill-g and 200$.. i might have to bite.. that thing is sexy

yeah saw it, might try to offer less than 200, considering i got my ill-g for 110 it would be a good deal for me either way.

its glow in the dark with orange, not sure on the height but looks to be atleast over 12" so id say 15" from his other pic of him hitting it..
  22. Frederick McGuire Aggressively Loungey

    Did you see my edit?
Just incase you thought I was referring to your pic for the $1k figure (I wasn't.)

    Yet another edit:
You should tell your buddy that the 24 mm joint will hold a 18mm nail fine, an the 24-18 adapter is supposed to act as a dome too.

There's not necessarily a need for the male-male adapter and dome in that setup.

Wow... well, knowing my feelings on certain subjects in this particular thread and I'm sure some of the people commenting, know how I feel...

Dude... I'd pull the trigger on that one. Dump that Ill-G fast as you can, if you can pick up a sweet HQ piece. Though, hey... if you can talk him down, more power to you. But, even at $200... I'd do it.

The honeycomb to Reti? Man, I'd keep that, if its clean welds, few bubbles, straight, etc and hits well. Dump the Ill-G, IMO.
