I trust my SSV and bet it would be fine left on but Im a cheap bastard....LOL The SSV is equivelant to a 75watt light bulb. Turning it off to save electric. Only take 2 to 3 minutes to heat back up.

75 watt light bulb? I don't own an SSV but the bottom of my DBV says 52watts. Is the SSV different in this regard?
Very interesting. I like how you utilized the Arizer Screen for the SSV whip. How much more efficient is the Vaporizer with this screen attachment on the end? Does it Vaporizer at a much lower temp now? That's what I would assume happens.

mod note: The SSV and DBV are both at 25.25W maxium. The 52W stated on the bottom label is incorrect. That info comes straight from the company owner/designer.

I leave mine on morning through evening then off during night hours. The thing is my pc is on 24/7 and that is 750watts so I probably wont' worry about it for now but it's good to point out. I really don't like to wait though for warm up , even if it's 30 seconds or whatever.

The inverter I use for the DBV is a Black & Decker 90 watt , it does ok with it , sometimes it sounds like its doging the fan in the inverter if I crank the Buddha all the way up but I have never really needed to use it all the way up . I have never felt the inverter get too warm to touch . The inverter is 20 bucks @ lowes , homedepot and I think I seen a 150w one at walmart . Vape on mobile brothers and keep it

Well I turn everything off Im not useing to save a bit ....heehee My grow room has 2 600 watt HPS/MH lights so they rack up around 50 bux a month not counting fans and excetra LOL.......not worried about being stealth just trying to save and you would be shocked at little thing lke a Vap can add up. Love my Dabudda and my SSV...have a few other vaps.

I prefer the DBV. Its all preference in my view. In my view slightly larger airflow in the DBV vaporizes the material more evenly where the SSV takes a bit of work as you need to turn the wand a bit but this sorta makes it sound like more of an issue than it is.
The other aspect that I like with the DBV is the temperature dial and the heater cover are on the same side where the SSV they are on opposite sides. Money and this is what made me select the DBV when it released. With the SSV or DBV they are both fantastic vaporizers.

The SSV, at max temp, never uses more than 25.25W. (.25W for the LED)
FLskwat did a good job of spelling out the differences. Personally, I don't see a lot of point to the SSV with hands free. You end up with an SSV that hits like a DBV but with more chance of the whip loosing connection over time, due to gravity. I can only see buying a HF SSV if you really like the SSV appearance better, and also really prefer the HF ergonomics. The DBV gives more predictable hits, due to the wider diameter of the air stream. You can get a more concentrated, slightly richer hit from the SSV, but you can also overcook a particular spot in the bowl if you don't move it around a little during a hit. The hot air is a more narrowly focused beam with the SSV. It's like a flashlight where you can adjust the beam to either a small bright spot (SSV), or a wider, but less intense beam (DBV). The model that hits better is the one a particular person prefers. I've used both and prefer the SSV, although there are times when I'd use a DBV instead if I had one handy.

Quick review, got the DBV about a week ago.. prior to that I have a MFLB and an Easy Vape. Thanks to FC and all members for some great info that helped me out.
MFLB is great for portable covert operation but just doesn't do "the job" when I am at home at want to really medicate. Easy Vape was just a cheap means to get a bigger hit until I found the right home vape. Easy Vape actually did OK but went through LOTS of herbs (and the temp dial was a joke, but you could figure it out). DBV has been perfect, consistent, big rips, small hits, everything in between, and seems to be very efficient compared to the easy vape anyway. Almost as efficient as the MFLB in my experience (yet tons more effective when you want it). For me, I usually load around .2g and get either around 10-12 medium size whip hits or around 6-8 big bong hits. Some herbs really do well and some not so much, but on average around 10 hits then a nice mostly even chocolate brown on the ABV. As has been recommended here, the best method seems to be to start with a lower temp (around 11 on mine) and then move up to around 1-2 to finish off when herb stops browning at the lower temp, stirring in between each hit. Draw speed is important, there is a point with DBV where if you slow down too much it really gets too hot regardless of setting (I did combust once accidentally trying to find the limit).
I was concerned about the lack of screen on the heater cover and stories of combusted blown-back herb... I even fashioned a makeshift screen but took it out after a few days (interfered a bit with heat and not necessary)... The angle of everything is perfect with the male screened wand and it stays put especially if you pack the bowl down slightly between stirs. No problem with the bong either.
Anyhow, after trying about 5 different vapes and owning 2 others, this is definitely the best vape for me, works great for wand a bong rips (using the 7th floor water wipe adapter). I highly recommend putting a screen around the mouthpiece tip (where it goes in the tube) to help with particulates when whip hitting, and also recommend the marble pick from 7th floor for stirring and packing the bowl down (perfect size).
Vapeworld gets 2 thumbs up for handling the order quickly and correctly, and 7th floor also was able to get my accessories to my door within 3 days without any trouble.
