Some may be strongly considering it now, probably not if you are already in this state now. They may move to Colorado for business though.

Yup. Not just medical, but legalized recreational use. The proverbial genie IS out of the bottle.

Now's the time to whip out the  and watch to see what the feds do............or not do and the subsequent reaction by Colorado and Washington.

On another note, thank God this election is over. Finally............

Maybe we will finally get it legal in California too in two years. Either way I wounder if this means I could drive to Washington(via PCH) to have some fun, or is it for residents only?

So what? Are you expecting UN drug squads to descend on Washington and Colorado?

Portugal legalized all drugs more than ten years ago. They are signatories to that Convention and they seem to be getting along just fine ignoring it. If the US decided to legalize cannabis, do you really think this Convention would make any difference whatsoever? It's not like they've been meticulous in adhering to other treaties and conventions when it didn't suit them.

Can anyone tell me how I can edit the title of this thread? In my excitement, I typed in Oregon when I meant Colorado. Oregon lost it's bid for legalization

It's a curious situation but even in states with MMJ or newly liberated Colorado and Washington, consumers, growers, etc are still engaging in civil disobedience with regard to federal law, which puts cannabis on schedule one along with heroin etc. Wouldn't it be great if Obama took this occasion to get rid of Holder and stand down on cannabis?

This is awesome guys! Colorado, here I come! :brow:

Why just two states though, or do the other ones still have to vote on this? And does this mean you can now legally grow your own herbs in those states as well?

Each state would have to vote it into place. Even then as gunky pointed out its still a federal crime.

Colorado u can grow 3 in veg 3 in flower for rec use. Washington u can only grow for med purposes.

Oregon was the only other state that I know of that had such a vote. As you might know, it failed there. In Colorado, you can grow up to 6 mature plants in a "secure, locked facility." In Washington, personal grows, except for medical purposes, are still illegal.

Colorado Amendment 64 section 3 article B states:
    (b) POSSESSING, GROWING, PROCESSING, OR TRANSPORTING NO MORE THAN SIX MARIJUANA PLANTS, WITH THREE OR FEWER BEING MATURE, FLOWERING PLANTS, AND POSSESSION OF THE MARIJUANA PRODUCED BY THE PLANTS ON THE PREMISES WHERE THE PLANTS WERE GROWN, PROVIDED THAT THE GROWING TAKES PLACE IN AN ENCLOSED, LOCKED SPACE, IS NOT CONDUCTED OPENLY OR PUBLICLY, AND IS NOT MADE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.

Its 3 in veg 3 in flower maximum not trying to be pedantic chronie just being clear. I think Colorado did a great job with this amendment and the way it was written, for the most part. They even legalized hemp for industial purposes  . Although I am curious as to how you can flower 3 plants at once but only possess an ounce
