Came here to check on the thread and just pulled the trigger on a CCG-FTK. It's probably the nicest one I've seen and if it functions like in the video I'll be happy. I'll report back when it comes in.

No chance of replacing it "on the economy" here, and don't want first-use set back another month while I wait for necessary accessories. Anything else an about-to-user ought to know?

I now have several bowls and dome/nails that are never used from buying glass on dhgate. I'm not even sure what bowl came with which piece, but I can say that most of the add-ons seem fairly cheap and the bowls are gigantic. If you intend to use your UFO for flower with a slider you might want to find something you like at a local headshop.

Well, that's the thing: at our LHS(s) you can get incense, butane, pipe-cleaners, hand-glass, lighters, cigs, blunt wrappers, kratom, a vast range of papers and a pile of other crap including XXX vids, flavored lube... but NO "GLASS". Not a bowl, a nail, a slide, banger, nothin'.... Wouldn't even know which other state to drive to for a better selection: down here in the Big Ugly, it's all ugly, all 'round.

So, you don't use them; fair enough, but the question of whether they are IN FACT useable remains unanswered...picking up 'accessories' @ DHGate will pretty much DOUBLE the cost of my orders, and the basic $40 for the rig is too big a stretch as it is (it's just that I 'smoke different' or stop herbing altogether)...but going Amazon would increase the cost way beyond that.

As for whether I'm looking for "something for flowers", well, flowers are all I can get - if I want something else, I turn the flowers into it...still need a consumption tool, and until further notice, it will need to be all-capable.

Trying to answer this question is delaying my order unacceptably, but I know how frustrated and angry I would get if I failed due-diligence....

Hey Lou, I'm 95% sure this is the one that came with my ufo. I may have used it once. Pretty much vape-only now. It's ok, but no handle.

Steven is selling those in a 5-lot for ~$17;
I would just pick up one of his bangers, but the UFO is male GonG & the banger is female...all this heavy estimation spurred my OQ.

I assume these aren't as prone to breakage/shattering as the widely-cursed 'glass nails'? I'm perfectly okay with making shift while awaiting improvements, just not prepared to be dead-in-the-water while money's tied up (so to speak).

The pix on the sale site shows one of those straight-sided chimney things; if either that or the one you show will actually work as a consumption tool without mishap, I'm good.

I even have baling wire.

The prototype of this I posted a few pages back is from Hfy. Pretty sure from our messages they were working on it first. I could be wrong, but they seem more like a real factory than Stevenmlz. Is he buying his seconds from them? I've been bugging Hfy for some smaller 50-55mm stereo matrix designs.

I bought 5 different pieces from 5 Different vendors Monday. HFY_GLASS,
STEVE, and GLASS ARTIST all shipped within
one day with valid tracking numbers. Kathy,and,CCG both gave me false tracking numbers while pretending to have shipped immediately

I ordered a few times from Steven last year and the shipping/communication was tricky, it took well over a month. My two purchases this year have got to my location very fast and tracking as you mention was immediately available. The packaging was vastly improved.
From what I can tell he is improving the infrastructure of his business and its much appreciated. Its great to work with a seller that uses some of the profits to improve the customer experience. I'll have more feedback soon as I dont seem myself resisting the FC-5000 much longer.

Just checked out hymanquartz01 store. He has a few different style bangers and carb caps in 3mm and 4mm thickness.

I will be using this on a little toro xl oil rig. I'm leaning towards the 3mm banger bucket nail,but have no idea which cap style to go with. I have no experience with quartz and would really appreciate any advice on thickness and different styles of bangers/caps.

BTW, I *do* realize I could order from different sellers at once...I just don't want to risk slowing things down between there & here.

Extra-credit: I like the pre-paid limited-use credit card, but I know some of those can be problematic - what cards have people successfully used, and did anyone have hitches in the procedure?

@ClearBlueLou - If you find a smaller format bowl, will you please report back here? i need to find a good supply of "snapper bowls" or maybe just a better search term than snapper bowl.

I live in a medical state, and our flowers are plenty strong and very flavorful. I think a lot of the pleasure of glass goes down when the bowls get really big.

I would like a bowl that is exactly the size of a #2 pencil eraser with one tiny hole... Pinch style is personally too much drama to clean. I have an american made snapper, but its way too deep..Mine is more like a #2 pencil eraser and the metal part.

I never understood big bowls... those steven bowls look like they hold .75gram... .25 of that is going to taste really nice, the other .5 g is going to taste cashed. Maybe big bowls are from the shwag days? or maybe from the time when people purchased 5ft acrylic bongs and needed that much smoke to fill the tube?

Hey guys, so I just (several days ago) my new FC-187 and it has been working fantastically with my underdog....

I just knocked it over (first time in years breaking a piece) and the can broke from the mouth tube. Is there anyway to fix it? even just a temp fix would be awesome.

Man, i just got up, i'm heating the UD up. man, dark clouds today.

Edit: after picking my emotions up, I've found that loctite glass glue is a thing. Will be getting this today and trying it

@CameraNerd, I think BIG bowls appeal to the people who think they need to incinerate the contents every time it comes around...does support your one-big-lungful theory .... That said, sometimes I like a fairly large, fairly shallow bowl (COMBUSTION REFERENCE), because I can just nibble thru it, tiny bit by tiny bit...and sometimes there are friends over. For single-hit purposes, I rarely welcome a cargo larger than your basic one-hit bat, so I consider my bat to be a friend

I will totally watch out for small bowls like you describe & will link them here when-and-if.

@CameraNerd assuming this bowl is the same one that comes with this piece I can confirm that it's a great snapper bowl. My combusting friends use this bowl as thier go to for small (.1-.2) snaps.

I'm curious to know if anyone else has used the linked piece and what they thought of it. It has my favorite function for vapor of the half dozen pieces I've ordered from dhgate. Unfortunately it had very thin glass and broke after being knocked off the table onto carpet. I've been meaning to order another with my next purchase but fortunately my GAS is currently in a lull.

I decided to go with the original banger style(3mm) with matching cap. I just noticed he has the Extra Big Bucket banger. Does anyone have experience with both sized buckets. I can't decide if the big bucket is overkill for me.

My CCG 2016 New arrival Wake & Bake New Bongs Glass oil rigs incycler water pipes barrel recycler with matrix stereo perc 14.5mm joint bubbler arrived a few minutes ago.

The glass is thick, and I am happy with their attention to detail - including their respecting my request for no logo. Yay.

The recycler's vortex action is not quite as pronounced as the one in the demo video - but it is definitely sufficient.

Overall I would enthusiastically recommend this bubbler - AND CCG.

I will try to shoot 'n post a video if (and only if) anyone is interested.

Head shops in SF call the onehitter style GonG a snapper bowl. The concept is like you described above. little bits so that every one gets a green hit, and so that every time you hit it, you also get a green hit.
Part of the reason I use mmj is to combat food aversion..which makes me very sensitive to cashed/bongwater smells. I would rather consume 4 small .1 bowls than i would 1 .4 bowl. I clean the pipe after 5 or so "snaps" or "personals", and i have to do that prob 3x a day to keep my symptoms away.

As far as I can tell it appears to be the same bowl that I got with the turbine piece but it may be worth asking the vendor. You are correct in your observation that it is a well constructed bowl, it's outlasted more than one american made slide I've owned and has seen far more (ab)use.

A "snapper bowl" to me is a personal or one hitter sized bowl, the alternative being a party bowl.

Honestly, I have no idea - never was a part of 'bong culture', nor were any/most of my friends (not entirely sure how I missed it, but I did: joints, pipe-fulls, one-hitters, the occasional whiff while burning off a loaded-up screen - that was what we had "back in my day").

Bongs did appear, but not many, no real variety...we had a REAL shop here in those days, and bongs were (and still are) mostly sold in porn stores....

@ClearBlueLou if you want a different accessory than what is listed with the unit, just message and ask for a substitution. I placed several orders with 3 different vendors and didn't want the various nails and bowls that came with it so I asked for specific adaptors I wanted, and with the other 2 vendors I asked for a small wigwag concentrate dish instead. Can't hurt to ask.
