710=OIL. The FC-710 is a great dab rig with minimal diffusion and small volume for great flavor retention. In what instance would I use a diffuser pump or the mobius binary matrix clone? (getting ready to add to the family)
So I picked up a d020-d from SSS a while ago. My main issues with it is:
(a) glass nail dumps my oil
(b) tough to rig a pen up to it without using a wick or rubber/silicone seals
To combat the first issue, I figured I'd replace the nail. The top of the invluded nail is shaped poorly, and basically funnels my oil out a spout. I end up getting no vapor in my hit and having beautiful golden concentrate all over the inside of my rig. Should I get a nail for the included dome and adapter, or go domeless? Is the advantage to domeless the ability to carb cap? Are DHgate nails worth exploring?
I've been wanting to pick up the fc-710 also, but couldn't understand the function lmfao.tuMcG post: 815452 said:i have yet to receive an answer on the purpose of this perc
No slits.
It's basically kinda a natural perc up the inner up stem bit.
Purpose?
"A bit more than super low diffusion, with a very small amount of dry surface area for reclaim to form on."
Would be my rough description of it...
For me it definitely smooths out dabs more than my tiny rigs with a natural perc or a 1-2 hole/slit Diffy...
I guess it's because the pillar effect of the upstem allows more water contact time or something?
It retains flavour really well.
All that water volume means the water doesn't go stale for a longer time.
The effective volume (basically just the downstem and the area of the can/neck that doesn't hold water) of the piece is actually quite tiny.
It is one of my favourite pieces for dabs, and I generally prefer the maximum amount of diffusion possible (I used my LSV today in a setup involving a hydra base and 3 hydratubes stacked )
So what would be the purpose of the matrix? Is that for flower? Combustion?710=OIL. The FC-710 is a great dab rig with minimal diffusion and small volume for great flavor retention.
Thanks, mano. I see the 4mm thick ones cost significantly more, but I intend to buy the quartz banger/carb cap option from jlhsmoking. Their Ti nail combo looks nice, too.I would definitely buy a new nail asap. There are some on DHGate worth exploring. I went with Quartz Bangers from Kathy to try out and I love it more than Ti. I got the 4mm quartz bangers on order from JLHsmoking now. I got a universal Ti domeless nail from Kathy also that I like. Although, some may be wary of purchasing Ti from China, so even moreso I'd grab quartz banger.
I haven't tried any nail that need a dome... But I've tried the free glass nail and its rubbish.
Edit: I was unable to find a ceramic nail design I liked after 3 nails. Wouldn't suggest you explore these unless someone else can suggest one.
It was the middle HT!Nothing like stacking tubes for MEGA HITS!! My GBD Fritter is always the middle piece!!
I have the GBD fritter, it has an 18mm female outlet for attaching the mouthpiece. How?
I've used my sub with it, it's a nice combo.I think I have found my Sublimator glass i have been searching for. Finally. Large heavy sturdy base. Just hoping the natty perc is enough diffusion
high diffusion - Generally less desirable for oils, but perfectly fine to use if you want to smooth the hit out.So what would be the purpose of the matrix? Is that for flower? Combustion?
I'd say around 50% of my errl goes through my 710Ok, that's probably how I ended up with the d020-d from the suggestions on FC - I wanted an all-arounder. Now I want an oil rig, so I suppose I'll check out the diffusion pump. Thanks guys.
I'm literally using mine now. But I'm about to rotate my En4cer back into play!I'd say around 50% of my errl goes through my 710
If you're talking about the FC-710/Diffusion Pump, it will NOT work with the Sublimator. It has a 14mm male joint and is more of a hand held piece. For the Sub I'd recommend something like the FC-186 instead.I think I have found my Sublimator glass i have been searching for. Finally. Large heavy sturdy base. An adapter can fix that. Not a fan of the knock off stereo matrix. I do like that binary matrix thoIf you're talking about the FC-710/Diffusion Pump, it will NOT work with the Sublimator. I'll try and make one later tonight, it definitely drains quickly.

All I gotta say is damn
For a prototype this thing is done really well. The mouthpiece could be a smaller diameter and there needs to be joint support.
I know there will always be American glass supporters for the high end name brands but do you guys think this growing chinese glass market is going to take over and put other glass blowers out of business or forced to lower their prices.
I think so to be honest
It was the middle HT!
Bottom - hydra foot
Bottom HT - removable MP HydraCirc
Middle HT - cbd fritter
Top HT - swagger puck
'Twas ridiculous
I have the GBD fritter, it has an 18mm female outlet for attaching the mouthpiece.
I put a m2m in there to allow a ht on top.
Placed my swagger puck on top of that.
Underneath it all was my new HydraCirc with removable MP from @canj00digit?
Gotta give it a warm welcomeDamn! I bet my old HydraCiric sure is glad to go to it's new home. It lived a boring life with me, and already now it's having tower of ménage à trois with your glass line up!

the chinese are exposing how little it actually cost to make this shit
The cost of doing business for an individual (without a big name) or small US company is way different than Chinese shops though. While I enjoy Chinese glass, I think it's gotta hurt individuals and smaller shops more so than the premium brands charging truly outrageous prices.
i'd be willing to bet that most individual blowers are operating without a business license and whatever other crap you're supposed to have in the US and every company is cooking the books and using whatever loop hole they can to get out of paying more taxes. i dont feel sorry for them
