perhaps thats an indication they aren't as close to shipping as they would have you believe...

Im genuinely surprised ANY of you find this situation surprising or unexpected in the slightest, this has been par for the course for CCA since pretty much page 1 of this thread. This has been referenced and reaffirmed more times then just about any other idea or sentiment in this thread...including how good their products CAN be. For months now the Air has been only a CAD drawing.....what more evidence do you need the wheels have long left this vehicle.

I have zero doubt the Airs will eventually become real things, but holding any value to CCAs "timetables" is just gonna get you let down and most likely pissed off.

From manufacturing experience, I agree here. If you are promoting with CAD and just the simple fact that you are selling it, a simple photo of it should be as simple as squatting and taking a shit. Even if it doesnt work, assemble it like it would work and take photos.

They were allegedly waiting on a part to make the liger air which they should receive right about now. So does that tell me that they never even had a prototype because they dont have this part? Most likely. Now they got it, by the end of the week or early next week, if all goes right, we should see pictures.

Another theory would be that the prototype they have that they wont show a pic of failed and needed this part to make it work. But that wouldnt explain the lack of photos.

Just fucking odd.

They didn't get through 3 versions to finally scam everyone on the cheaper version.

Those were manufactured else where. Not by cca. They have proven, they neither have the equipment, or know how, to make this product. The lack of pics only confirms it. They may have been sporadically successful as the middleman in the past. How would i know. I'm a first time buyer. I'll admit my statement was a bit dramatic. But not undeserved. And I'll talk shit about Cca until the I day i exhale my first dab off of a liger air. ☮

Just broke my Toro. It was due to the coil. I think i will try a 24mm mayoral paired with a 25mm hybrid coil. this way, i have a 1mm tolerance.
My augusthaus 30mm coil is more like 30.3mm and that extra almost half mm is great. I switched to a DC 30mm which is 30.09mm and thats when the bottom of the grail just dropped. I measured the grail and it came in at 30.04mm.

The augusthaus banger that came with the 30mm coil was only 29.38mm plus the extra .3mm gives it basically a 1mm tolerance. Toro are really not meant for enails. I think i will still get a replacement eventually to use for torch only.
I already broke the 35mm this way and now the toro. I stretched out the 35mm coil to about 35.65mm trying to get to 36mm to use for my replacement 35 halen bucket.

I have no clue what i said above makes any sense as im so annoyed and took two massive rips and coughed for 10 minutes before sitting down to type. But to sum it all up, give yourself about a 1mm tolerance to be safe. If you are worried about the coil falling off, buy a roll of 24guage stainless steel 316 wire for $6 to hold your coil up or buy that thing that @710Coils is pushing above. I use the cheap SS316 wire as its easy to remove and apply. I have never used those clips that were mentioned earlier.

This shit is getting expensive!!!! I broke 3 $200+ buckets in 2 weeks!!!!!!! Its ok tho, i get a nice bonus this month so im still hoping for a good 710 sale!

@Shooby it sounds like one of the rings of your coil might be too snug, or possibly out of alignment with the others. The other thing would be the coil arm not being supported at the right angle and so when the coil heats up. It sags some or gets pulled up if what you are using to hold it is too snug. I had been using jewelry wire and found it would pull the coil arm up when it got hot. This is where the clips I came up with fixed all that. If you shoot me a direct message I will send you a set of my clip kits =)

Unfortunately, the nursing homes we may be living in by then will probably have restrictions on dabbing.

Shipping was "staged" weeks ago so that couldn't be the hold-up. The first 50 were supposed to ship early this past week. . .didn't happen. Comparison pictures were just another promise left unfulfilled this past week.

Sounds like they have a significant design flaw despite their denials. Their inability to post a pic is most telling. I have also grown an irrational hatred of the utterly clueless one that posts for them on instagram.

I went ahead and ordered an AugustHaus banger and coil to play with until the Air gets here. I want to play wasith globs that have been making my 3.0 a mess. The Air might not have a home by the time it gets here.

I know off topic, but...I'm using a no frills PID. Do the App based controllers, like the cubeone and hexnail, really make that big of difference in the experience?

I've had no probs. With cleaning my bangers or anything, I can do up temp dabs, just by turning up the temp and dropping my glob in quickly. Then turn it back down. Anyway if i cancel my CCA order I may upgrade my controller instead.

Depends on how you use your nail/rig and how you intend on using the controller. I have a HN-02 and I do NOT just let it do its own magic. I use the programmable sequences (barely, but if they don't improve it I'll take matters into my own hands) to simulate uptemping (like an insert drop) and other techniques. For example:

https://i.imgur.com/HNVEX3u.png

I keep the nail set to 515, which keeps my obsidian insert at the temp I want to finish my dabs at (which is somewhere between 380-430; I have a cheap and bad IR temp gun). Before every dab, I press the top-left button to lower the coil temp by 40 degrees (F) for 30 seconds. Then I press the lower-left button to lower the coil temp by 20 degrees for 40 seconds (the -20 is in relation to the coil's main set temp, so this is effectively +20 from the temperature it was set to for the prior 30 seconds). Halfway through those 40 seconds, I put my concentrate in the dish, carb it, and start drawing lightly as it's barely bubbling for flavor. After the 40 seconds have elapsed, the coil then works its way back up to 515, and I dab as normal throughout this. I'd rather take several wispy rips at different temps than a rip that'll irritate my lungs. If I do really large rips I'll also use the +15 degrees button in the middle (for 15 seconds). You can press these buttons again once the initial time completes (or press it to interrupt at any time) so for REALLY big rips I'd press that button more than once. Sometimes I'll let the -20 portion go for the entire 40 seconds, press it AGAIN and put the concentrate in THEN. That's really good when I put in a large amount, or multiple types, and want to spread it out across the insert.

Sorry for the essay. The point is, if you are willing to put in the time (and dabs) to figure out how to get it exactly the way you want, it is absolutely worth it. That being said, you can still do uptemps just fine with a standard PID using the drop method and/or power toggling. Where the Hex (I haven't tried a KubeOne, but I have an AH coil and banger and they're great) outshines is in its consistency. Sure, you can change temps or power toggle to get similar effects with a standard controller, but being able to get it precise and consistent (I don't know how accurate the numbers displayed are; I just know that when used the way I explained above I get my ideal dab every time) has made my regular dabbing experience significantly more enjoyable.

...fwiw, I had a hexnail and went back to an auber pid... I found it more of a hassel than a better experience.... Cannot speak on cubeone, however maybe my expierence would have been different if I went that route instead

THIS^^^^^^ Fancy controllers let you do fancy stuff, and that fancy stuff can translate to excellent repeatable dabs. It is not at all required, but it can give you that polish you desire. If the spending is worth that to you, upgrade. If not, just learn to use that analog like a pro and you are going to have YOUR best dab experience. That is all that maters in the end.

Just me, but I swear Eric Ross is not making those bangers. He is just slapping his name on them. If you compare his to the knockoffs. They look pretty much identical. That being said, if you shop around you can find them for pretty cheap

That's the xl auguAugust banger and coil. Lol..

E.ross and disorderly swears they are USA made in Minnesota. I do notice a difference in the quartz, the cheap ones had a smaller pin block on the bottom. E.ross is bigger . I broke the quartz pin holder in a week. I'm not a fan.

I have had a Kube since Mid November 2017 and love it. I got the low power consumption controller Newvape has a week ago and am already looking at what @maxvapor710 has to offer. I did however mainly get the Newvape for trips and portable use.
