Very cool! That is a nice view of half dome, I bet that was a nice sesh. Makes me want to share this photo of me and a few friends using my solo in Canyonlands National Park, Utah in the Needles District. Chesler Park trail to be more specific.

IMO This is what the solo is all about. Anyone else have any cool photos to share of them using the solo outdoors?

Why is getting so complicated about getting the stems???
After keeping modifying my stems time after time with my nice Dremmel, I found that just a full bore straight tube it's the best IMO for airflow and cloud thickness.
I was getting really airy hits with all the channels, shorter hits, because of the faster cooling down.
I'm starting to think, that a length size between regular & GonG stem will be the best.
20 models, for the same simple stem. Come on. I love variety, but this is too much.
IMO it should be 1 model, all GonG, and GonG kind of acts like a cool mouthpiece.
Just 14mm, then buy a 18mm adapter yourself if you need it, cut costs of production having just one model, customer first???. Ok, 18 & 14 mm, no whinning please :)
It's that hard to add a GonG to a simple stem with no cuts, channels or screens (of course you'll add your own screen later :) at all, a la Alan's glass stems from the HI log style vaporizer, or most of logs rely on. A straight airflow path :)

Are we relying a lot in a neighbor country to produce just a simple stem??
I feel ashamed :(
What about Ed's stem with a detachable
GonG adapter???
Eddddd???? Any input??
Local glass blowers??

I've been chewing on making those HT , (but different design) since a long time ago too, I guess PV has the $$$ & time :) lol

But now, PV is on them, I want to see first,

ok, my question here is,
If I ever find a local glass blower, willing to help me ( or us FC Solos users :)
I will be more than pleased to run a production of at least 50 of my designed stems from my own pocket.
Are people interested in giving any advice or input??
I'm planning on listing all the costs, glass expenses, local glass blower, etc etc, my car gas if it's too far away.
IMO if I can make 50 modified GonG stems for $xxx cost would be awesome.
$x or $xx a stem sounds reasonable??
Help on costs?? Glass suppliers??
Any local apprentice or glass blower in NW area??
The more we are The lowest prices IMO
We can share ideas.
I'll do a run Of 50 FC GonG modified Solo stems OUT OF MY POCKET, I'LL BUY THEM ALL :) OK

READ BELOW PLEASE :)

So, Is anyone here paying for MAILING AND COST OF STEMS AFTER YOU READ ABOVE??? :) INTL SHIPPING AS WELL :) COVERED
I'M NOT PLANNING ON MAKING MONEY ON THEM. ALL EXPENSES WITH PHONE #s AND TICKETS WOULD BE FAXED OR SKYPED IF SOMEONE IS AFRAID OF MY HONESTY. ( I'm not screaming here, I'm just trying to be clear and people to pay attention and read this before any post or input :) lol
I just don't want to get stuck with 50 stems by myself :)
I never broke one yet...
If it runs ok, I'll try my best to keep experimenting with stems. Kudos for Arizer not involving any shitty "patent pending" on their stems allowing everybody to do whatever the f...
users or etc want to do with them. Giving local glass blowers more jobs :)
Big claps.
And thanks PV for making 20 new stems choices.

I can't wait for questions like......
??? why is not fitting in my new Solo??? Do I need to do the same as a regular stem to make it fit????Etc etc etc, :) lol
Answers are beforehand, yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes sí sí sí sí sí
Oui oui oui oui oui oui :) lol
I think I'm getting crazy about my Solo :) lol

Fucking Combustion since 2010.
A close friend of mine grows medical grade strains year round, he uses the solo more than any other piece he has. I also have a couple of strains growing that due for harvest next week. We were discussing the different curing methods and he tells me that he does not hang his buds to dry, but the thing that really threw off guard was he tells me that grinding the material before putting it in my Solo is the worst thing I can do. He says the best way to do it is to break off small chunks from the nug and vape that way. His reasoning behind this is that when you grind you essentially knock all the resin heads off.. Has anyone got anymore input on this??

Greetings all! I am trying to decide if I should get one of these or if I just have VAS...
Currently I have an Underdog that rocks at home and a MFLB that is very stealthy on the go. Was considering getting one of these for a heavy hitting on the go, but not sure how "portable" it is (the Yosemite pic is a good selling point BTW). Do most of you use it at home, or on the go? How easily do the the glass stems travel and how fragile are they? Let's here some "I took my Solo here" type tales if you have them. I can think of times it would trump the MFLB on the go, but not sure if it validates the (new and more attractive) price of $160. TIA!

i did the McDonalds cup Mod (pictures in this thread somewhere) and i take my solo ALOT of places. it's still not the most perfect portable to be used everywhere BUT i love mine and VERY glad i got it.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but how wel does the solo fill the log vape niche? In particular, can you conveniently use as little as one stem's worth? And does it roast as evenly?

I'm thinking of upgrading my old MZ to a newer CRZ or UD, but I thought I should give the Solo a look as well. I would think the lack of a cord would be nice even for home use. On the other hand, I'm worried it might roast a bit unevenly, like the MFLB does (for me).

About grinding resin heads off, I think most of it ends up in your vape anyway. Maybe some sticks to the grinder and gets lost but I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm preparing to harvest the Northern Storm strain it's indica/sativa and literally looks like snow all over the plant... I'm working out of town now and my wife is tending to her, but when I get home and harvest I'll post some pics of the frosted herb.

For the longest time I would press and hold the two buttons to turn it off, just as you would to turn it on, and I started having this issue of it turning on again. Then I figured out a quick press on both buttons is all it takes to turn it off. I was pressing them too long.
I've never had troubles turning either of my solos off, but I never knew a quick press of the buttons would do the trick.

I really like this :D

I discovered it by accident, and was quite relieved as I was starting to think my Solo was not working right when it would not shut off.

Go for it bro! It vapes a speck of herb as perfect as a full bowl and does so effortlessly! Little stir needed for perfect results, as in all vapes, but that's part of the ritual... If you combine it with a vaporlung it will also need no effort from your part sucking for 10-45 secs for every hit! It saved my teeth and throat! :D The "one pic" path to vapor bliss below:

I don't even need a Cloud any more, for real! The same could be done with most logs of course but the absence of a cable is what sets the Solo apart! :D

Solovape...sounds like you need to give both methods a try and tell us what you think!

Q...I think hte Solo is an excellent log vape replacement. I don't use my logs around the house anymore (except my HI with a bubbler) since getting my Solo.

I can help answer this for you since I just bought a Solo to replace my log vape. Let's see...it's smaller (unless you get a HI or Wychwood), takes about 1-2 minutes to reach temp. instead of 30+ minutes, is cordless and truly portable, and it works much better with tubes/bubblers than most log vapes with the right adapter (except HI). I use a little more in the Solo stem than in a log vape stem, but I also get more and bigger hits. I can't believe it took me this long to get a Solo, but I'm loving it so far and have only had it for 2 days. Bought it on PuffItUp.com for $160 + free shipping and it was at my house in two days, can't beat that!

I was actually going to ignore your post, because I found it somewhat offensive to PV but I can't any longer. Don't you think this research has already been completed (at a much more involved level)? PV has done all the testing already, so you may want to reconsider your statement that a full bore open single hole is the best. The reason you are getting poor hits with the notches, channels, etc. is because it has to be done properly. I don't know sweet jack about glass, but i'm pretty sure there are exact tolerances, etc. that need to be adhered to.

I've tried the single open full bore hole, and yes it is a bit better than stock, but not much. This is why PV is going to continue with only the 4 hole PVHES because a single big hole doesn't justify the cost to make it. I agree, having beta tested the single open bore, because the bottleneck in airflow isn't that. It's around the stem and the tight fit hinders airflow...and this is why the PVHES have both the notches AND the channels cut into the sides. You can disagree that it's better, but many are waiting in line for these, myself included because we trust PV, and know they will meet the claims of 30% better airflow, because many PVHES owners on here have already confirmed it.

I'll gladly throw my $$$ at PV and let them handle all the testing and manufacturing, since it's their gig.

Yeah I have been to Zion and hiked the Angels Landing Trail. Great hike, and an amazing park. Unfortunately I only had a magic flight at the time as the Arizer Solo did not exist yet so I'll have to revisit Zion and set things right!
