I've used mine every day several times a day for weeks! How long does it take before you have a stem full of reclaim! Mine still looks barely used actually, with the exception of the flakes of ABV being stopped by a screen at the bend...

I find the higher the temp , the more resin you get .
Also when water vaping with the stems , I seem to get more of a clear build up .
Sometimes different strains produces more resin .
In your sig . you have the OPHOS , add the silicone mouthpiece to the stem .
That also seem to produce more resin in the herb chamber of the stem , along with
the easy draw . ime

Wow, first time straight dabbin the oil outta my solo stem. Gotta say I've been missin out for over a year! This rules! Just as potent as normal oil! And vapes pretty clean off the nail. Only a slight residue that burns off In between hits. All I gotta say is start torching your oil down to the bottom of the stem, then scrape. So easy! Just be careful with the torch, put it on low and quick swipes. Enjoy! I know i am! I think I might eat it next time :)

I just started dabbing my reclaim to and it works great. I use alcohol (was using iso but I just switched over to everclear) to reclaim though so I can filter it and get the sediment out before the evap

If you use a torch to reclaim the oil almost no sediment is in the oil. Most of the particles stay on the glass and only the oil drips down.

Off the nail? are you not doing oil on cotton? what's your oil setup look like?

A titanium nail...no cotton just a dabber and hot titanium. I run it through a toro double macro usually.

Why is ethanol better than isopropyl? I filter iso through a coffee filter and am getting pretty clear results. I have a couple of small bottles of 190 in the shop...

the last time I used iso my claim has a funky taste so I was concerned I didn't purge it properly. if I'm going to inhale any alcohol I would prefer it be ethanol instead of iso. there really isn't anything wrong with using iso though, just a matter of personal preference and in my case being overly cautious

SOLO Vaporized Cannabis is my Best Medicine
In the old days before cannabis was made illegal, most of the medicine made from this plant were ethanol extracts. There were hundreds of products and scores of companies that include some of the major pharmaceutical companies of today. Safety of the product was one of the reasons ethanol was used.

Nope, I'm innocent on this one. I think I know who did it, but I'll let him self identify.

I believe it centered on this battery pack, which I bought a while back:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002Y2LJW0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's just what we want, but needs some work for our use. First off you need to solder the connector on to match Solo. You can use the one of the dead battery, or buy one with 'pigtails' to solder on (be careful of the polarity, Solo is backwards from most, keep the blacks and reds separated from each other).

The other problem is the necessary protection circuit board is on top of the replacement battery pack, not along the center like the Solo one. This makes the pack plenty skinny but a bit too long. Cutting the new pack open and shifting stuff around seems necessary.

Another way to do it, of course, is to just open the old pack up, cut the two bare batteries out, and solder two in to replace them. 18650s with solder tabs are easy to come by.

As of now, I know of no way to do it without soldering unless you can get the factory battery?

You're welcome.

I'd advise against soldering directly to the 18650s. You might get away with the positive connection if you have a good touch, but the can connection is widely held to heat the internal part of the battery too much. The correct technique is to use tabs spot welded the bodies. Battery suppliers sell them this way or can weld tabs on for you if you send yours to them (last one I saw was $1.50 a tab for customs).

Hey guys,

Just got my solo and i LOVE it. I've had a pax for a while, which i'm also really happy with, but this thing definitely produces more vapor and is more efficient. The pax still has it's place as a great on the go vape and comes pretty damn close to performing just as well. I have a few questions about the solo.

1) Should i insert the filled glass mouthpiece into the solo before i turn it on to heat it up, or do i want to turn it on and let it get to temperature before i put it in.

2) I know the pax "cooks" the herb continuously even while it's not being drawn. Does the solo work the same way? Or does it only cook the herb when you are drawing vapor through it.

3) i see some people have had trouble with the wooden stem that is sold as an accessory. I'm a touring musician so the only problem i can see with the solo is that i'll break the glass tubes and be unable to use it. Are there any other good less-breakable alternatives to the glass wands?

Thanks in advance guys!

I let the solo heat up before I insert the stem. It takes a couple rips to get vapor but this way there's no unintentional "passive" vaping.

The solo does the same thing, although perhaps to a lesser degree.

3) i see some people have had trouble with the wooden stem that is sold as an accessory. I'm a touring musician so the only problem i can see with the solo is that i'll break the glass tubes and be unable to use it. Are there any other good less-breakable alternatives to the glass wands?

The glass tubes are actually pretty resilient. Unfortunately I think wood stems are the only non-glass material, so you'll just have to live with those if you want something more durable.
