Hey everybody. Do you put your weed in and then heat up? Or do you heat up then put the weed in?

I do the latter. Better flavour on first pulls obviously. Then the clouds cometh!

Edit

@WakeAndVape i thought you would be 410 guy!

Yes its very hot. Im sure my chef friends would touch it easily though!
I load it first, let it warm to temp, then let it sit and 'steep' a minute like tea. I think this may achieve similar results to your pre-heat-then-load. But some folks enjoy the hits on the ride up to temp. Lots of paths.

After a bowl, I don't wait long to refill - just long enough so I don't worry about melting the plastic filling tool (or burning fingers!). This way less battery is needed to get up to temp for next bowl, and it's definitely more like your method. I can smell goodies releasing before even getting the c/u or mod on top!

Normally I would go 410, but I was playing with the temp buttons to make sure the shutoff didn't kick in

Also anytime I load my mighty hot and try to start drawing instantly, it doesn't do much until the whole oven gets warm...just my experience though.

are they asking you to pay for new housing? they did that to me as well when i sent mine in with the houysing really beat up despite it being on warranty. you can turn down the service if you like and they'll just send it back. if you pay for the service they'll probably send you a set of accessories though (CU, brush, plastic grinder) if that interests you.

Just fucking with ya! Yes u have to wait for the clouds but you get the terps instead of baking them in your cooling unit.

From personal experience turning on the unit and letting warm while you get your weed ready is the optimal method for a flavourful first hit.

I load usually as the unit is hitting 200°F and it steeps for the remainder of the heat up period. Once it vibrates I'll hit it through my water pipe and I get a nice cloud on the first pull.

I use a folded paper scoop now days as it's faster than the loading tool when I'm at home. I've never burnt my finger and I'll often "hot load" a second bowl after killing the first and dumping it. Usually I won't bother with a steep for the second bowl and get a wispy first pull.

they e-mailed me saying that the charge was indeed for repairing housing. but i messaged them an invoice of last year august showing that it was covered by warranty. they than apologized and said housing repairs ARE covered under warranty and cleaning isnt. so now they're just fucking pulling my leg. good thing i had vapor med in the e-mail hopefully they'll do something cuz this is ridiculous.

Wow... this is the US branch?

I think you should send a letter to the head offices in Germany about this. They don't know how to do their jobs or they're screwing around with you. Either way they need someone to put them back in line. It's unacceptable to be charging someone money if they aren't supposed to. I've heard nothing but complaints about S&B customer service from Oakland, yet praise for the EU service centre.

Given the amount of faulty units they've made you think they would have their procedures figured out eh?

I posted yesterday about a flawless experience with S&B America; so much for hearing nothing but complaints...

My mighty arrived today..quick question to all the mighty users..

when heating up and finally reaching the "set" temp, my unit seems to never stay on the temp, it's always going above my "set" temp by about 6-7 degrees, and then comes back down to about 1-2 degrees below my "set" temp, this is constant... I want to know if this is normal? I'm not really used to staring at the temps since I've had the crafty.

if i set the temp to 363 the vape goes up to 367-368 and then back down to 362ish and then repeat..

Yup .. U.S. branch. I included vapormed(certified snb) in the email in hopes of them helping me with this certain situation. I'm not a stupid customer they can easily take advantage of. I cannot believe they have the audacity to switch qualification ofthings as what goes under warranty and what does not.

Welcome to the mighty club. It is normal for the mighty to rise and fall between 1 to 6 degrees. Enjoy this beast sir. This thing is amazing!!

What's going on is the Vape runs at a high power for the heat up and after it heats up to the target temp it will "over shoot" even though the vape has stopped heating. This is likely because the temperature probe lags behind the actual heat of the bowl by a few degrees. So the Mighty shuts off too late and it heats past the mark. Then the Mighty will heat back up when it has dropped enough degrees and the cycle repeats. This is called rubber banding.

That's probably because the EU has strong consumer protection laws and the US doesn't.

Not sure why I made this video...but here it is.
Hola @WakeAndVape
Got to love car videos, I did a lot of Solos car videos in the past, even with a OG PNWT while driving, but I only posted one because of privacy issues at the moment, weed was still on legalizing process and I didnn't know how to cover my face at the moment, while driving, jaja
But what I loved the most, that happens constantly while driving, is stopping by, or get driven by cops, and they couldn't tell I'm vaping weed because mostly vapes, now, look like e-cigs and they are everywhere.
Folks, if you look closely, at 1:10 minutes during his video, while he's stopped by the traffic light, you'll see how a COP SUV black, white, black (are you in OR,WA area? are cop cars colors and models all the same in every state?? can't remember, but they remind me this area the colors...)
driving "swiftly" on his left lane. Am I wrong???
You can even tell WakeAndVape lightly moving his face to the left, not totally or too much in case the second cop not driving realizes he's looking at them and not to be suspiscious, and then when cops are far away, take a long breath while calming his pumping heart, and taking another long sip of his beloved Mighty, to be happy and finally beat the system in their face ;)
What I can tell by not even seeing your eyes, is that I'm sure your eyes were glued to the side view mirror till you left that traffic light, wondering if cops catch you and turned around.... jajjajajajaja
I love it and nice video, and clearly show the capabilities of what a real portable can do on the street or while driving...
Stay vaped my friends...

I'm having a little trouble understanding the issue you're having with the service, in part because I have not seen where you describe what the problem is with the Mighty other than it apparently needs a new housing. I see that you feel you've been treated unfairly and that you think S&B is "audacious" and trying to "take advantage" of you, but I find that hard to believe. Did you post more about this? Detail?

My understanding of S&B's warranty, regardless of what country you're in, is that it is not unconditional. So, for instance, a housing that may be covered today under warranty due to breakage under use may not be covered tomorrow due to some form of abuse or neglect. Please understand that I'm not accusing you of abusing the Mighty, just saying that S&B service may be perceiving it that way. It's much easier for me to believe that there's some misunderstanding here rather than a company targeting you as stupid.

I do agree that service seems somewhat uneven in its' handling of various situations and that we tend to see more of this kind of thing out of S&B America, so there's definitely room for improvement. At the same time, I don't feel they are a disreputable company out to intentionally screw one customer over another.
