...as much as I want my above concoction to work..it's burning everything unfortunately...I suppose it needs a carb..or its an airflow issue...I'm not sure..not an engineer...but I do know a wpa of some kind will be where this really shines.

I believe they plan on shipping out the WPA to CFX owners before 420 if they get the shipment in before that. Not sure if theyre going to do that with CF owners.

My impression was if you bought either the CF or CFX they were going to send the WPA. Im not sure when the cut off for this was though.

Wow, looks like the boundless CFX is going to be my next vape. I really love the firewood for using through my bubbler buuuut, When im out and about the vapor is too direct and harsh to be pleasurable for me, as well as being kind of finnicky. Can anyone comment on the efficiency of this thing in comparison to the FW3 or arizer models? Also if i understand correctly, ordering today will net me a water piece adapter right, since they do not ship until 4/20? Also, how is the smoothness to vapor production ratio? And is the lack of full convection a huge downside? im not a huge flavor hound, just like to be able to taste individual buds, and get a rich hit without toasting only the bottom of the herb. Thanks FC fam :)

The efficiency of the CF/CFX is not going to be near as awsome as the FW 3 is. I also have issues trying to hit the firewood directly, its just too harsh for me. The FW 3 is the most effeciant potable i know especially with small loads (Maybe apollo too.) But the amount you need in the CF/CFX and the vapor output is solid it dose a good job. The vapor is smooth very smooth 400 degress and below and a little warmer on my CF 415 degress but not hot or harsh. I had the same issues with FW 3 it's nice through a bubbler but out n about not as much, plus durability. CF feels quite solid and im much more comfortable sticking it in my pocket on the go.
There is a lot of great flavor on 385 degrees and it lasts longer than im used to.

I got my CFX from theVapor.institute on Monday. First off props to them for the quick shipping. The vape came packed with a Boundless t-shirt as well which was a nice little bonus.

So far I have to say that the CFX is a fantastic vape. I have used it exclusively for the past week to see if it could keep up with my needs and it has handled the task effortlessly. I am a pretty heavy user and at no time this past week have I felt the need to run back to my e-nano. The only part that has been less than ideal is the WPA I rigged up for myself. The official one looks much better so I am anxious to get one for myself.

At this point I believe my search for a portable is over. It may not be a full convection vape but it is a solid performing, reliable vape that does everything I need.

I had a great session at 370 until the vapor stopped, right around the auto shutoff. Then I went back and finished it off at 430 and had a huge finishing session until there was no more vapor. The abv was surprisingly light tan and even.

The taste is good. It tastes fresh, potent, and vegetal. Bud through the CF tastes like it smells fresh in the bag. There's almost a prickly quality to the taste in a nice weedy way.

I still highly recommend trying the vaporizer without the tiny mouthpiece o-ring. Just snap the mouthpiece back into place without the o-ring and enjoy easier and cooler rips. Peace

Can someone post a picture of how you are attaching the basket screens from the EQ?

Also how short is your shut off time? Mine seems to be very brief

I noticed PIU has them now. I'm not sure their 15% off 420 applies but if it does it seems like a good deal.

Just put it into the bowl. It really helps with getting stuff in your mouth

You can take out the regular screen since the hat is in place.

What do you mean? It should go into standby mode after 5mins or 300seconds on the vape. Press button 5 more times to fully shut it off.

The coupon code works :] tempted to get the CF now but I just splurged on an SS grasshopper from vapefiend. The CF may have to wait til next month. Still contemplating cus the CFX does one hell of a job.

VAS kicking in hard! :mental:

I assume you mean to say it "really helps" with the PREVENTION of getting stuff in your mouth?

And do you load the ceramic bowl up to just below the bottom side of the basket screen? Tight or loose pack? Medium or fine grind?

Thanks!

I find load size doesn't matter much. Tiny micro loads to a packed chamber the CFX handles it all. On small loads I like to tamp down but it works fine not tamping down as well.

Yes, thats exactly it. I was pretty baked last night. :lmao:

I've only used the CFX with micro loads. The past few days ive been using 0.08 fine grind w/ some dried preground herbs and last night I tried it out with 0.04-0.05 w/ some fresh and course ground herb. In both instances the CFX performs extremely well. Still get nice full extraction. light/med brown at 380. I noticed w/ the herbs that were more dry, you can pretty much rip the hell out of a microdose in a few hits. With the freshly ground herb, i notice the vapor is more smooth and lasts a lot longer.

I just ordered a CFX from piu, $152.15 shipped! I was set on getting the firefly 2 after they released this summer...but for the price of a ps4 i couldnt really afford it at the moment.
Currently ive been vaping an arizer air, 5-7 sessions a day for the last 6 months with no problems at all.

Can i use the screens from the eq to pack smaller bowls and add more convection properties? I like the idea of keep the herbs suspended in the chamber for solo sessions.

Is there any shielding between the heater and batteries? A 5 minute sess at 380 followed by a 3-5 finish at 430 seems like the heat could cause issues.
Thanks

I dont think anyone has actually loaded the eq screens but more likely just use them as a sort of liad topper/screen replacement for the stock one that vomes with but others have had success loading the elb from the evo..i have had great succeess loading the concentrate pod that comes with the cfx with dry herb..fantadtic results with me.

I've loaded the EQ screen and had only OK results. Even though the CFX definitely has some comvective properties the bottom of the bowl area is still where the most heat is collecting. Some type of EQ screen that could fit at the bottom and be easily popped out would be amazing. The ELB from vapexhale really works well but I've found them to be really fragile and a little too expensive for constant replacement.
While we're discussing Mods here's a link for an awesome Boundless WPA until the official one comes out. http://underdogvapes.com/vape-accessories/vape-stems/nong
It's an easy, instant fit

Yea that makes sense. Looks like the eq screen sits about a third of the way down the chamber. I still will try it/look for other solutions. I mainly pack tiny bowls in my air most of the time...typically ill pack down 1/4 to 1/3 full in the glass stem...

Maybe the best solution would be to fashion a screen to sit at the bottom of the cfx chamber to prop up your herbs so they arent in contact.

To me pure convection means the bowl doesnt get hot

Perhaps you can trim off the lid of the basket screen and push it down farther

i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a CF but when visiting the website, i saw no place where i could also order the water attachment tool, which is a must for me...i read that they're currently still making this attachment....Are they just going to send one out to everyone who has purchased when they're finished making them or is it just specific to CFX owners? also does anyone know if the fc coupon code is still working?

thanks in advance for the help!

I think it would be best to just give them a call and you can use the FC code via phone as well. They are having issues with using the code through their website. The WPA is supposed to come with the vaporizer for future shipments but they said they are trying their best to send them out to owners before 420.

How are the CF owners liking theirs? I am thinking about it for a summer vape due to the big bowl size, oil can, and pocket-ability. Any problems that stand out? any features that aew great? I read the one gentleman's review but would like more opinions

I love it man..it competes for my portable time with mighty..so I'm getting a CFx so I can dial my temps directly..i can't wait for the wpa as I have been rigging up my minivap stem with ratchet song and it milks my piece just like the mighty..flavor is really good too...not your average conduction vape....

nice Ive been trying to find a nice compact portable to use as a "wax pen" since I dont like the actual pens because the coils get nasty really quick and start giving off a bad taste, I dont really trust Ti and nichrome

...I agree.
I almost gave up on pens until I discovered divine tribes sub ohm temp control atty..its untouchable..i.m.o.
But the cfx is just great..it's one of those rare vapes that does what it says...very well.
It's scary good at its price point and I'm sure it will make other companies reassess they're crazy prices when they see what this can do for under $200.
..and it couldn't have come along at a better time for my needs.
