Good to see you back the electrician. Nice rigging of your Extreme v.3! Looks like you've repositioned the ceramic heating element so that it is to the right of the display (and horizontal)? You're not using the Extreme as a heat-wand anymore I suppose? Whip only, did you get rid of the fan? What was the stimulus and/or inspiration?

AgentofChaos: looks like a nice list there. I personally have the Itza nano and love it, one of my most flavorful pieces for sure. Before you isolate the decision to flavor though--and this factor certainly has an influence on the taste a piece can produce IME--have you dialed in on a preference for size? That list has a pretty wide range of sizes.

My :2c: would be to nix #4 (#3 sequentially ) off that list...thats personal preference though. In terms of taste however, it seems that an extra chamber--another reservoir of water for the vapor to be passed though as well as more contact area with glass/water--tends to scrub some of the flavor out of the final hit. The nano has two chambers as well but the first is (generally used) dry.

I have heard good things about the Reti Perc. Mobius makes a matrix perc which looks badass but people say it doesnt stack bubbles as good as the Reti.

I wish i had a need for it cause it would def get the Reti. There were two matrix percs last night on ALT, but sold out now, the Reti prob wont last long either.

this boy has a vulture eye for extremes it would appear, that and or you have read posts of old. it has been used as a heat wand for as long as i can remember now, ran out of whip tubing a long time ago and getting hold of more i deemed too expensive to warrant. the fan was been crudely removed via no little personal violence to the machine, at the same time i removed much of the outer casing and then cast off the heat shielding cone. for some time it was the element, in its then unbroken glass shell, attached to the base by the white and blue wires you see; the unit proved unwieldy still and i set about removing the circuitry from it entirely. some time ago i found a miniature chest of drawers, removed one (retaining the other for storage purposes) and grafted the abomination into its current likeness, a small racecar.

to expand a little on its use as a heat wand, the bowl im using is a stock 14mm ehle, the screen sitting in the restriction between the tube and funnel. the seal isnt quite there but its acceptable. also works well mated with a 18mm male joint, but again there are slight seal issues.

in time i will try and film it in use

a word on glass, if you are interested in mobius models you can get hold of their bubblers smaller versions, the ion series, which may prove more desirable due to their smaller volume, at kulture. shit seems to fly out of alt pretty quick. eitherway, if i had the scrilla id be all over one like a monster

HAL - I actually remember you posting the Nano after you purchased it and I've been wanting one ever since. I don't really have a preference on size, as long as it's not taller than 14 inches I'm good. The Mobius also has me drooling, but I remember Pappy saying something about water volume affecting flavor and I'm assuming that bub holds a decent amount.

Ive decided to replace my bubbler and I would appreciate the opinions of the many glass connoisseurs on this forum. Im torn between 4 different glass pieces and Id be grateful for any suggestions or to hear which one you would pick. Im looking for glass to give the best flavor more than anything. Thanks in advance for your help/comments...

1. Itza Dry to 11 Arm Nano - http://www.itzaglassgallery.com/itz...-to-11-arm-nanoitza-glass-dry-to-11-arm-nano/

2. Mobius Clear Bubbler with Reti Perc - http://aqualabtechnologies.com/scie...orks/mobius-clear-bubbler-with-reti-perc.html

3. Ben Wilson Clear Inline / 6 Arm Dub Bub - http://aqualabtechnologies.com/scientific-glass/ben-wilson/b-wilson-clear-inline-6-arm-dub-bub.html

4. Ben Wilson Triple D Inline Tube - http://rxindustries.com/scientific-...ypage.tpl/product_id/597/category_id/133.html

If you want best flavor you want minimal diffusion.
You would get that probably best with the inline tube out of all those, although if you're using it for vapor its a bit large for most vapes.

Thanks for the tip Electrician, I'm going to check it out right now.

Never used 2&3...
Find Itza Nano dimunitive and pricy. Highly reccommend BW inline Donut.

I think this is a reductionistic assessment, what did you think about the actual function when you used the Itza nano Pappy (sounds like you've tried it from your above post)?. It may be small but this is a preferential matter; the Nano was designed with concentrates in mind, it works quite well for my vaping preferences and habits (not to suggest these are everyone's preferences). As for the price, I think the price listed above is a bit high for the production model (compared to the custom I bought and the ones I've been quoted at) but being in direct contact with Nano (not too difficult) may alleviate this a little. In any case, I'm not trying to blindly defend the design, just that more stands out to me than "diminutive" and "pricey" (note that "flavorful" is right up there for me).

Either way, these pieces are much, much different. I think the BW inline (and designs like it) is a little more conducive to gathering a large hit of vapor at once for quick inhalation (a longer passage to the mouth). Have tried some Wilson stuff (more from Luke) and it seems like everything on that list is quality in execution at least. :)

Edited to clarify

@ HAL > My answer was admittedly glib but meant no offense. I only used nano once and it was well built and flavorful. That said it's a miniature piece and didn't feel comfortable in my hand. Considered buying until using. Although much larger I just sold Swiss mini for similar reason. My perception of Swiss mini and Itza nano is I'd like to see both in slightly larger form factor.

No offense felt here at least Pappy, just wanted to point out some nuances. FWIW, both the "Swiss mini" and "Itza nano" have pretty explicit hints of small size  Either way, both designs are clearly available in larger sizes if preferred. I like the bigger pieces for an occasional lung-buster but have come to prefer smaller volume for day-to-day use (lungs can still get busted when necessary ;)). So much good glass out there :o

Didn't think so but CYA. Actually considering a regulation Swiss to replace mini. Feels more natural and not much bigger.

Today is a very good day :D. After taking into consideration what others on the forum said, as well my own thought's and findings, I made my glass purchase and it has arrived. I present the Mobius Ion Bubbler with the Reti Perc:

It's glass art in it's finest form, I cannot wait to get home and test it out!

Let me first start by saying I don't have a lot of experience with high end glass. I've owned a SYN beaker with an Alex K shower head stem, a 10 arm Luke Wilson Bub, and now my Moby. Based on my limited experience I can confidently say the Mobius Ion gives the smoothest hit out of all of them. It's tricky (like any new glass) to get the water level right before it felt right, and it requires more water than my LW bub did, but much less than the beaker. I also learned it requires more effort and lung power to take a hit with my Zap, but I imagine with a vape like a Supreme or SSV it would be a normal hit. Any questions ask, I'm no good at reviewing things so here is a very amateur video I made yesterday:

That looks like a great hitting piece! I love how the vapor plumes up! I would love to hear someone compare this thing to a LW 15-arm...I may just have to do it

What do I need to do differently to help better explain how the perc works? I'm new to this...
