I received something fun in the mail today. I think I will call it the Vap O Box.

Check out these lures. Should be something in here to catch the attention of almost any vaporist.

Almost every part needed to assemble almost every model of vap.

And then I put together this handful of love.

When I see things like this it really is inspiring to think these all have happy homes waiting for them somewhere out there.
Then well, the next thought is, what else can I do to continue the progression of the project?
Oh, I have a few things in mind, and it is exciting to think I have one almost ready!

Cheers,

George

I have some more goodies hitting the mail tomorrow!

Check out the new crowned Ti Woodies,

IMG_20160224_221439149_zpsrchojqkx.jpg

and with their fancy tips.
This batch of premium hardwood from @Ed's TnT is sweet.

Notice how deep the fins on the tips are now. I have thinned the titanium between the fins to a wonderfully ridiculous degrees.

I have to say, it is rather gratifying as I assemble these attractive little things. I sure would like to think that they look and perform different (hopefully as good or better) than anything else out there.

Cheers,

George

Nice.

It's interesting how the thinner and extra fins, along with the steel collar make them look longer and thinner than the original woodies.

Happily for me i prefer the look of the older model. Ahh, remember the old the old days...

Of course, i am completely biased! And i have not had the pleasure of seeing one, or better yet, using one, as no doubt it has great performance advantages.

They still look awesome, though. (you know, even though they made them better in the old days)

Hmm. Maybe i should start using them emoticon thingamythings

@BabyFacedFinster something along these lines....
Lighter about an inch from the cap, heat applied to the digger outer end for first two clicks. Third heat cycle run nearer the cap end and only done to show the load is spent and not worth the risk of another full heat cycle unless dumped, stirred and re-vac'd.

Jesus H Christ Phatts. Wasn't it just a few days ago you had a goatee growing perfectly. Now fast forward a day or 2 (joking I realize it's been a good week or two)and now you have a full beard. WOW!!!! If only I could grow hair on top my head like that.
Another great video. Are you still stretching a gram as far as you were? That thing looks like you are getting good thick clouds from it. Nice video.

Many thanks @HD Springer. No problems here growing hair anywhere, brown or grey.
Still getting 15+ loads per gram. As you've seen, HD, my VC is heavily modded inside and out and the way I use it may not suit every one, but it's getting me heavily medicated and on very little material with nothing to worry about other than the click.

@Vapenvy thanks for the response I figured you would go Vapman. HD is a big fan as well. Not got one myself but having watched a couple of videos and done some reading I can see why the pair of you enjoy the VM so much.

@lemmeadem you won't hear the clicks if your headphones are turned up too loud. The VC is the closest thing to a 'J' I think I will get. It's only since I got mine that I realized I missed that from a vape. Even if it is sometimes the quickest joint I've done.
It's by far the strongest joint I've smoked. If I rolled a 0.4g single skinner and smoked it, I would be no where near as battered as I would be if I did the same amount in my VC. 6+ loads back to back I reckon I would be joining @HD Springer's Granma friend in a puddle with a donut of gas surrounding me.

@Kevea not me on the heat after the click thing either.
I do agree with your thoughts on this vapes profile. For me it is also full on stoned. Possibly not to everyone's taste but I can run a 6 click heat cycle and extract flavor for longer if I want just a light uplift. I think it is up to the user in the end. Also different lighters will extract differently.

Got some bits coming together but other commitments keep getting in the way. When @Ruta and myself have a social he sits shaking his head. He even wondered if the Teak floor from the asylum had any mentalness left in it.

Goodness. This vape is being updated and improved so fast i better post my review soon or it will be an ancient history lesson...actually it kind of already is...so here goes...

I received a first batch blackwood ti woody and three glassies in early February. And a stash.

First off, It's not my hardest hitting or tastiest vape, but god damn it's fun.

In getting 4 vapes i can say that there's definately variation in the caps. I tried all 4 caps on the ti woody for size. The one that came on the ti woody was the tightest. 2 were 'standard' and one was 'loose'. I chose the loose one for the ti woody as it worked best for the stash magnet, but the standard 2 also worked pretty well (one slightly better). The tight cap that came with the woody did not come off using the magnet so lucky i got extra and could mix 'n match.

The other 3 caps on the glass vapcaps all fit pretty much the same on all glass bodies. A very Slight variation, but essentially the airflow was pretty (equally) restricted with the carb closed, as per design. Cap variation is more an issue with woodies, i think.

The stash magnet is awesome for loading and unloading and the stash is beautiful and practical.

I really like the digger outerer. Perfect size to, well, dig stuff out, but you can also tamp and even load using it (put herbs in the cap and pour out down the digger outer into the bowl, or dig out and slide abv into the cap)

I am finding that, for me, the effects aren't really strong, but that works out well as i can play with it more, and that's good because it really is fun to load and use.

I love the modular design, but those tiny o-rings are likely to get lost or broken trying to pry them out of the channel when cleaning (as careful as i was, mine have little cuts in them as i just couldn't pry them out with my fingers so had to use the digger outer), so i think a couple of spares in the packet would be a nice addition.

Overall i like it alot. The woody is really nice to hold, look at and use. Tastier and perhaps cooler than the glass as i get less 'roasted' flavour and less clouds and more heat cycles.

Most of what i would say about the actual usage has already been said by many users which is why i have focused my review on the caps.

One last thing. I ordered a Bubinga stash, but It's much more red than i was expecting and looking at the photos it looks more like paduak. Does anyone know for sure? I ain't returning it either way, but it would be nice to know. Anyway, awesome work @Ed's TnT on the very sexy woody and stash and @VapCap on the design and implementation of a very fun vape.

Definitely agree with Ed, that is 100% purpleheart (and 100% fucking gorgeous) to me. You ask George to confirm perhaps, since yeah Ed only makes the stems not the dugouts.

@joekar there should be a ceramic screen held in with a metal clip. Let George know and he will send you one out. It should work okay with a small screen pushed in it if you can't wait. I found Titan 2 screens fit.

Mine came with instructions to heat it twice with no load. I heated it 5 or 6 times, just to be certain I wasn't toking any sort of manufacturing residue. Probably overkill, but it doesn't take long.

By the way, @jackmormon, I lived in Tooele for a short time as a kid. Went to Salt Lake City on business a bunch of times as an adult. I drove to Tooele once while there, and had an enjoyable afternoon smoking a cigar while watching a high school baseball game. It was a good cigar, and the game was fun to watch, but Tooele pretty much still sucked. Of course, it was tainted by memories of moving away from my friends in Washington State, so it had no chance.

That's funny! I lived in Tooele for a couple of years as a kid back in the early eighties. Nowadays it still sucks but is basically a bedroom community to SLC.

Back to Vapcap ;)

Still "testing" as there is a learning curve like with most vapes. The Stu(tm) method seems to work best for me. Heat until click and then hit it for 2-3 seconds before a couple more hits to finish. If I do 2 full heat cycles the ABV is black. Using a dual torch lighter now but think I will move to a single torch. Interesting and very fun vape!

Check the packaging well to make sure it isn't in there someplace else in the package. But George is assembling and shipping all these himself i believe. No one is perfect, mistakes happen, and i am sure he will make it right.

Chatted with him a short time ago...all sorted, one will be in the mail shortly..Tried it with a 5 hole glass screen and a metal screen in front of that..Works nicely..Very efficient and tasty..I got the black wood and it's beautiful..Can't wait to order a nice DynaStash...Thank you George.

ps: I checked everything/everywhere.

Hope this will suffice.

Thanks guys.

Damn, the two of you can take some serious hits.

@cwheezy , Is that some type of silicone adapter that is in your waterpipe or on the woodie? Can't tell, but gotta get one.

Nintendo night last night, Brough around the HA elite beaker bong and vapcap. Thought everyone would be more impressed by the HA but one friend was captivated with the vapcap, didn't bring around my adaptor to get it into the bong, but HA elite TONG in the down stem, OG silicone MP pressed firms onto the tong screen, worked a treat! Impressed some of my friends anyways!

Here is one. A screen spacer and filter.

IMG_20160218_105009512_zps5lagdvut.jpg

And out it looks like this. Use with Cotton or Hemp fiber.

IMG_20160218_101220414_zpso9c4xhb9.jpg

There should actually be two ceramic screens here, one on each side of the spacer.
The spacer, is a piece of high temp glass I cut from tube so it will fit right into the extraction chamber.

George, i really love the ongoing evolution of your vapes and i think this is an awesome idea.

Any plans to incorporate this into the woodies? Particularly, can they be retrofitted to the older woodies? If so, put me down.

I am thinking possibly install these at the drawing end by using a slightly shorter inner tube (or cut ours down a bit)? Or maybe add a mouthpiece and these can sit inside that?

I am sure you have something tricky up your sleeve and look forward to (hopefully) adding it to my blackwood ti vapcap.

I don't have data to back it up, but it seems that overheating a VapCap may affect its function a bit. I was at a gathering Friday night, and couldn't hear the click because of a water feature and boisterous conversation. As a result I heated it way too long (it wasn't my first bowl), combusted, and gunked up my VapCap.

Cleaning it was easy...I just soaked the glass and metal in iso overnight, then rinsed it with hot water, and wiped it dry. No problem, right? Well, it seems that the "ready" click is now coming later in the heating process, and it's taking longer to get the "cool" click as well (probably due to the longer heating cycle). I've never actually timed it, either before or after overheating, but it seems to me that the herb is now cooked more and the vapor is heavier on the first heat cycle than it was before.

Obviously, this is strictly anecdotal, and I've been known to be wrong, particularly when getting stoned, but it sure seems that this is what has happened.

This in no way makes me dislike the VapCap. In fact, I love the damn thing, and am happily waiting for my Titanium Woodie to arrive. It has served as a learning experience for me though. At least I think so. Maybe.

Am I crazy, or has anyone had a similar experience?

Received the new generation Ti Glassy on Friday and have been using all weekend. Didn't think the difference between the OG and Ti would be that different but the Ti is amazing. Better flavor and vapor density. I not sure if the the one carb hole compared to two makes that be of a difference. Good stuff though.

Shared bowls are not done here, even multipl his for one person on the same bowl. As a result a couple heat cycles is a strange concept to most of my mates, they seem to get the joint like experience with the solo, VM or herbalaire direct draw, but I think through water one load one hit cache it is the go. So added a small domed screen, decreased capacity by around 30% Woking a treat for grinded, lightly packed and heated low through the bong. Hopefully dynavap over the ceramic screens additionally soon.

So, as using the VC has been and is so much fun I decided to builder a bubbler. As a rule I am not bothered about vaping thru water but I saw one of these and thought 'I know what I'm gonna do with that'.
A little VC shroomery for you @VegNVape.
Mrs @Ruta said it looked cute which didn't really sit well with her also likening it to an H bomb.
The water definitely made a difference to the flavor. 3 tasty hits.
