Whoa, wait, what?!? You ordered yours in November of 2013?! You've been waiting almost 2 years!? I just ordered mine 7 weeks ago. And I haven't heard back from them after emailing yesterday afternoon.

Ah I do love my Pax2. :)

I got an answer from Trevor about not having news for 3 weeks since i got the address confirmation email.

"It looks like we missed your email confirming your address which is why we have not shipped your order yet. I have just checked it confirmed and it will go out soon."

Sad panda over here but my hope is going up again seeing all the people who receive shipping notice.

I'm crossing my fingers that my package is "en route" this time, and that my 2 hoppers will be fully functional, as i live in Europe and i really don't want to have to send it back with all the taxes problems.

Ha! Yeah when I ordered I understood it didn't exist yet and needed to be manufactured, possibly design-tweaked, etc. So, i have been patient and frankly it's been fascinating to see the whole thing unfold, even though they have had their "learning experiences" along the way and that has caused us to be even more patient (wink!).

I have a Pax 1 and really have come to enjoy it. At first I thought the trench was too large but now I wish it were larger, since I've figured out how to turn it on, bring to temp, turn off and puff -- it doesn't overcook that way and with a firmish pack I get really nice results. And, I installed a glass mouthpiece onto it so you can see the vapors gathering up and cools them without diluting.

Met several of the Pax folks over the last few years and really like them. Glad the Pax 2 is doing you well.

How do you go to the site to check your order status? I thought we could log in and get shipping estimates, etc. Am I wrong?

After you log in, click on the menu then account then order status and it show your status. Then click on your purchase date to take you to the shipping "estimate" part.

I don't have that last step. Just account -> order status, then it shows me everything...

Weird, under order history I just have 3 tabs. Date, paid, and status. If I click on any of the those they take me to my invoice.

Been so long since I've logged out that they may have changed the page. LOL

The difference is, Trevor made it sound like we would get some sort of realtime personalized shipping estimator which would give us a relatively good estimate of our shipping dates.

In reality someone simply went through the database, hit select all, and updated the estimated shipping date field for all orders placed between X dates.

Really a shame to see there has been so many issues. But it does sound like there have been a flutter of new shipping confirmations today. Hopefully they're more confident in their assembly processes and beginning to ramp up production (doubtful, but hopeful!)

Althought it sounds like they are missing some shipping confirmation emails. :disgust:
That's pretty terrible, it shouldn't be up to the customer to wait 3-4 weeks after the joy of receiving a "confirm your address, your GH is about to ship!" notice to send a follow up email asking "uhhh, when is my GH going to ship?". :bang:

Seriously, I hope these guys are amazing Engineers, because they SUCK at running a business. I have high hopes for GH, but this is embarrassing.

I emailed Trevor and asked him not to ship mine until he was confident that all the bugs were worked out and QA was intact before out the door ..."no rush" - but that's just me.:2c::2c:

EDIT - Of course I would prefer to receive my pen before my cremation....:rip:

How can he answer that? If he acknowledges your request, he is admitting that the ones they've been already shipping are buggy and haven't passed any meaningful QC.
Which may be true, but I can't see them admitting that....
I never expected or intended for Trevor to reply to my email at all - I merely expressed to him my reasonable expectation and understanding of the situation, which eludes most. I can wait! I am a secure individual who doesn't thrive on the constant need for instant gratification. Of course, I would like to receive my pen before my cremation.

Yeah, but it let's him know that we know. So now he knows.

There was another confirmation for a bronze Ti on reddit, I think that makes three I've seen online for bronze including me. I guess they're going color by color and I picked a good one:rockon:

Looks like were about to hit December 2013 orders?! :uhoh:
I'm thinking these will be in september. I ordered on 12/1 and haven't had any address confirmation yet, or even a canned response to my more recent (two this year) inquiries. No communication at all.

By "instant gratification", I assume you're referring to the almost two years backers have been waiting? That's the world's least instant gratification!

Seriously, I doubt Trevor has intentionally been sending out faulty or untested units - why would he purposely create more logistical and PR problems for himself? He must be confident that every QC issue HAS been addressed before shipping. Obviously that confidence is a little premature, but I can't imagine he'd see your email and say, 'Hm. I hadn't thought of that! Maybe not sending out defective units is a good idea.'

Btw, your last comment brings to mind something I've thought about - I wonder how many GH backers actually have died in the last two years waiting for their units?

To the younger crowd (under 40), typically, two years (and much less for many here) can seem like forever-and-a-day, grating on one's frustration tolerance level and impinging on objectivity and civility. Generally, the inability to keep a strong need for satisfaction at bay is hardwired early on in life, and is a very difficult nut to crack later in life. Granted, for many, unintended delay after delay will tend to wear thinner and thinner - some will decide to fall away, others will stay and allow ongoing disappointment to fester, while still others with take a patient wait & see approach. I am in the 50+ years crowd, and admittedly I am not immune to impatience. However, in the instant case of the GH, I have found it useful to temper my expectations through knowledge, information, and past experiences. Two years for me, despite all of the allegedly inaccurate product and delivery claims, is just a fast-food meal seasoned with grains of salt ...too busy and on-the-go to worry about getting my desert in the same sitting. I do understand the majority sentiments, and only wish to offer points from a perspective that I find have merit and may prove useful to whomever - just putting it out there. Of course, this could be debated ad-nausium, but that shouldn't be necessary.
