WHAT THE HECK!!!
Vitolo I love you, thank you for answering :)

I guess having a vape for concentrates is redundant - if you have a MFLB!

Btw the PA looks like it goes on the other side of your box. Do you have a special left-handed model - or is the video flipped?

Thanks!!!

sessnet....The video was flipped!
I also have used aluminum foil (small pieces) and porous ceramic chips

Some makers are not about only making money.
Some companies would prefer to keep certain items as rare... collectors items.
This is sort of like ... not putting ALL of your cards on the table during a poker game....
Saving something special for a later time! ;)

But just imagine... walnut MFLB (sharp intake of breath!)

No need to imagine, I'm holding one right now. It's cool, for sure, but in normal light the dark wood makes the trench even darker. The standard Maple ones are easier to deal with in that respect. OTOH, get it out into the sun and you'd best have your shades on.

It's an older type, no latch, glued in side blocks, tiny bulb as I think they all are? As I recall the story they were made to test different wood types. There was some loose talk about maybe doing more in the future.

In other news, seems to me if we could dig up two more Vitolos somewhere we could rule the world?

I'm really glad I decided to buy the used exotic MFLB in the classified section. I have a feeling they will become a collectors item, like you said. :)

Yeah, I agree.
I think they might be experiencing higher and higher annual sales.
In which case, the strategy would be to wait until the market is saturated.
Once sales start levelling off, then they may introduce the exotic woods.

I think the problem with the exotic woods is that they need stronger cutting tools.
But with interest in the device as it is, I imagine that will just be a drop in the ocean.

I see.
So the walnut has its limitations?
Mind you, a dark trench ain't too bad.

I have an old one too.
No latch, but it has the rubber ring around the screen and that bouncy thing in the battery compartment.

I think it's an iconic design.
So if exotics come out, then I may be persuaded to add one for the collection.

Hey all. I felt like giving my MFLB some love this afternoon and make it a decent day pack for out and about. I got a cheap hard zip camera case and some foam. I'm no craftsman so excuse the rough cuts. I'm pretty chuffed with the results :D

It's the camo one. The other small one I made inserts for my VG coil.

Thanks for the props, but alas I'm a follower in this not a leader. Throughout this thread there are examples of peoples home-made carry cases. You should check out Vitolos stealth cough drop case - now that one is genius!

Oh, since there's been a lot of discussion about Magic Flight's warranty variables, within "lifetime" and pretty all-encompassing coverage. Does anyone not remember The Shit Pile MFLB Warranty Claim of 2011? They proved, beyond a reasonable doubt, they are TOP-NOTCH Customer Service.

Just curious, where did you hear about this? I sent one back that had fallen into the shifty toilet last year just wondering if it is me you are referring to haha

I searched FC for "toilet" (lol), and I found a post where someone said "YEAH I DROPPED MINE IN THE TOILET TOO", so I guess it's a pretty common thing?

Fantabulous news, ladiez and genteelz!
I had my box stolen last weekend, and as of yesterday it has been replaced, brand-spanking-new kit bought for $90 from a kind retailer in my local area who understood the unfortunate nature of my situation. Got the batteries with caps, latest click-top model and all.. after using my old box for so long, the spotless screen looks INCREDIBLE.. and yet I can't wait to fry it just a little with some of the Blueberry and Bubba Kush I'm saving.. I've been without vapor for 12 days now, and saturday night that all changes!
I'm just happy as a dog with food and wanted to share with y'all, hope your flights are magical all around the community at the moment! And may all your affairs improve from where they stand, or stay as beautiful as they are, for those lucky enough to enjoy the better things in life, such as a magic flight launch box :D
Peace and love to all and to all a good night.

I still havent heard back from Magic-Flight. I have now called their number during the hours stated on their voice mail 3 days in a row. I have called multiple times a day and never get an answer. I have left one voicemail each day and also emailed them once a day. Magic-Flight has never called.

I am starting to lose faith

You could try calling Blisssville, and see if they can get MF to call you back?

@ash057 - don't worry, they will get back to you. They really do have great customer service and I'm sure you'll get sorted out asap when you get hold of them. Keep the faith :)

J.R.R.Tokin',
I just broke down and ordered one, got the water pipe adapter coming too for use with my bong! Hope I don't need the glass extra spacer, I'll worry about that when I get everything. Super psyched! :D

I am going through the same type of situation ash, I got a replacement box about a month ago that developed a screen tear. While looking for an envelope to send it to them, I ran across my original box all wrapped up to be sent in a drawer.:o I email MF and told them what was going on, they said just send them both back together with a note. I did so, and the boxes were delivered early this week. I called MF on monday and left a message with my name and #. They called me late monday afternoon to schedule a time to call me the following day. I told them 11 am EST would be fine. I have not yet heard back from them, and have left a few more voicemails. I am far from losing faith though. It sounded like the call scheduling was a new thing to whomever was calling me, i would wager that there are some bugs to be worked out of this process. They will get in touch with us, and when they do we will be again reminded what excellent customer service they provide... just my :2c:

Hi Ash057,

Please do not contact Blisssville -- they have not been doing any warranty work for some months now. Best that they can do is forward the message -- which will add communication delays, and then they will themselves complain to us that we should not be sending customers to them for that (which takes even more time to handle).

For those who may need this in the future, the very best option for messaging us regarding warranty is to use the web form on the magic-flight.com website, since it goes directly to that department (there is a much lower possibility it will go to the wrong address, get caught in the email spam filter, etc). In the interim, I have forwarded your message there to ensure that it gets looked into promptly (you should have resolution by Tue at the latest).

In regards to the phone, please be aware that we do not have a "call center" -- the people who handle this are the same ones that handle the warranty email and they are requested to process all of the emails before taking or making any calls. We will also sometimes (very occasionally) call out to connect with people and so that we can be more helpful, provide usage tips, etc.

-- Magic-Flight

PS: That drink pack cover is the best one I have seen yet -- can fold up and pack tight too! Just be sure to clean out the inside so that it does not gum up the Box.

Yes Learner, that's a very original idea with the drink bag, my sister collects those and sews them together to make lunchbags, etc. She hasn't gone this far yet though:

Moe, I think MF stops selling them because they were a choking hazard. Some people have gotten a standard size acrylic stem and cut it. There is also the option of getting a short wooden stem from Ed here. They come in all kinds of beautiful wood and I recommend them highly. Plus, if you have a specific length in mind, you could shoot him an email and I'm sure he would work with you.

Thanks for the tip re cutting one, or getting a wooden one. How would one cut an acrylic stem? (What tool would one use?)
