@EverythingsHazy when Steven first posted the function videos I noticed the Incycler function was off right away so I drew up some very makeshift picture on paint and tried to explain how to fix the problem.

Steven seemed like he understood so hopefully he'll have that fixed soon
Yea, I messaged him that day too, so he wouldn't rush it into mass production. I sent him a good video of an authentic one as well, so he can see what we are talking about. Looks like it should be getting fixed for the final product. We'll see in the next prototype vid.

It's kinda annoying that the Matrix Pillar won't start shipping till March probably, but at least it should still be getting made the right way. Better late than never.

The other issue with the Incycler is that the return tube coming off the funnel doesn't penetrate to the bottom of the perk, to return the water to the bottom of the can under the perk. They just connected the return tube to the top of the perk.

No they didn't ;) check out the video. You can see it drain below the perc. The return tube is fine and it goes through the perc like it should.

The only issue is with no slits on top of the perc, but that is being fixed so everything should be good on that piece now :tup:

Quality looks awesome too so I'm really excited for this one and one of the pillars.

Unfortunately, according to Steven, we are probably going to have to wait for CNY to end before we get to even see the bubbler neck sample...

all these new awesome pieces being made by steven, he has the mothership klein, the torus, and the miniknock offs but where is the ball rig?
also i wpuld have thought he would have done the fab egg first but kathy is good. he should have a whack at it.

also has anybody ever asked them about making heady versions of these rigs? or just colored rigs? ive only ever gotten CCG glass that had some color. but even they made it look bad . if we can show them how and would be willing to pay extra for those pieces with color. then i think they would do some

I'm very curious as to how the Pillar is going to turn out, and it looks pretty impressive at this point, and I mean no disrespect to Steven, but I don't think he gets it well enough to do something like this piece. Lets give him a little time before we send him after really complicating pieces. He doesn't seem to get the fluid dynamics...

As am I. I've been waiting on seeing this bubbler neck matrix pillar since December. It sucks that we are going to have to wait till march for them to start shipping. CNY is so inconvinient.

I'm new.

What do you think of this?
It's sort of my own pump design, only it's diffused and it get's a whole lot more watery action. It would all stay underwater meaning it's gonna have a small air volume, and it should stay clean too. And since the bubbles would be popping in the center, vapor shouldn't come into contact with the glass until they've popped. Nothing should condense there. So besides inside the joint it should stay spotless. It would work a lot like a jet engine, only nothing gets set on fire. Only instead of jet fuel put in vapor, and instead of the air put in water. It should have all the positives of a diffusion pump, only my GF could hit it without dying.

The joint won't work on the beaker because of the glass cone. (BTW the cone would be attatched to way more than 4 points of course) Then also it's designed to work like a fountain... this would just blast right into peoples faces. A bubbler can would work with the start on the top right.

gallery_305640_6858_46937.jpg

Drew the bubbler can i mentioned and added some arrows, because arrows usually help to get ideas across with this stuff... And like it says, you could get rid of that "minihoneycomb" and just leave one slightly tapered hole. If it's bigger than the hole in the cone it should still recycle. And you could make the beaker work if you can get the joint in there through the cone too... You just need a good splashgaurd. Imagine the weight behind a beaker with all that water... That would be sweet.

Someone has to get the chinese to make one... I want to try this design but don't have a way to make a piece.

Would anyone be interested in something like the VXL devastator?

For those not familiar, it's basically just a straight tube of glass with a large ground glass joint (maybe 29mm? I'd need to double check that), and a nice flared out base.

You insert a down stem which has a low profile joint (whatever the large joint is for the male, and an 18mm female joint nested inside that).
It makes it functionally equivalent to an 18mm female dewaar joint.

The outlet is an upward facing 18mm male joint, which allows hydra tubes to be used as a mouthpiece. A plain dry mouthpiece can also be used (like the stock vxl dry mouthpiece) or it could be used as a whip bubbler :brow:.

It also comes with an ash catcher, which is essentially the same item, with 2 key differences:
1 - it doesn't have a flared out base, and
2 - the outlet is a downward facing 18mm male joint - as is required for anything to be an ash catcher.

The stock devastator was a big fat shower head for the down stem, which I'd like to see in it too, but they'd be able to produce a few different perc types if it was wanted...
Shower head, tree, punched holes (,matrix - fingers crossed:lol:) etc.

I figure they could either sell the package combined, or the main piece and the ash catcher separately.
It's a relatively simple design and I could see it being popular for combusters too...

Sounds cool... Like this?

I am absolutely in love with my VapeXhale Devastator. The diffusion/vapor path length/cooling is perfect...

I would be interested in that. I also would like to see a cheap hydratube produced too.
That'd be cool too. Maybe we can design one here.

Yep, just like that.
I'd personally like to see some kind of brace on the outlets if possible, but yeah, that's the devastator :)
I agree. I was actually going to suggest adding some support so there is less pressure on the joints.

Also, the names for the Matrix Pillars will likely be:
"FC-1000 Bubbler Neck Matrix Pillar"
and
"FC-1000 Bent Neck Matrix Pillar"

does anyone besides kathy0577 sell reclaim catchers? About that YS004 I want this piece so bad but it looks like he is sucking bubbles into the mp tube
Any idea how tall this piece is? Wish I didn't have to wait until the middle of april for this piece

He is pulling on that thing unrestricted. If you add the restriction of a nail or vape or,(shudder) bowl, those bubbles won't stack as high with that water level.

That makes sense :) Any word on claim catchers? And do we know if the YS006 will come with a carb cap? I guess more info will start coming out monday again. so I should just probably sit tight.

Hey guys,

Steven asked me for some help fixing the incycler, so I made this picture to show him how it should work.
Green=Holes/Slits, Blue=Vapor Intake, Purple=Water starting to recycle.

Think it looks good?

Also, does anyone have any other ideas for new pieces?

-----
Edit:

I also asked for a water test with the water level as shown in this pic, for the stereo matrix, to see if you will get a drink when you clear it.

 for that water test  I'm ordering that piece later on in the month

http://www.ioffer.com/i/zob-glass-18mm-wp-snorkel-bubbler-with-inline-perc-stem-579946854

I would like something like this but no taller than 9 inches and with maybe a tire perc or 1 of the matrix percs. I just like the bottle shape with the super skinny mouth piece. Preferably bent neck but I might like the look of a straight neck.
I asked the guy that does the CCG channel on youtube and he said they could make it. I just need to get in touch with him. I just ordered http://www.dhgate.com/product/grav-labs-buoy-base-honeycomb-perc-14-mm/209765529.html so we'll see how that comes before anything else.

Could you also ask him about the carb cap for the YS006:shrug: Other than that you rock. I appreciate the update:)

I also found a bunch of reclaim catchers on ioffer if anyone cares I ordered one to go with the piece I ordered from CCG.

What is the verdict on the Ti nails from china? I almost pulled the trigger on a nail from a company called Titen that is based in LA but nowhere on their page does it state where the nails are made. they don't seem to be US nails or I think they would say. I'm probably going to go with a ceramic or quartz nail and save up a little dough and get a HE nail. Thoughts?

Modnote: 10 posts relating to titanium nail discussion were moved into a more fitting thread. Please try to stay on topic. :)

not quite sure on the context of your conversation with him on the piece but I was watching this video and at about 31 seconds there seems to be a similar piece. I could be wrong. Just throwing it out there :)

Edit to insert link lol
