My koa LB's serial number is LE-xx-xx. It has the newer wide air path but I guess it's the older light, since as far as I can tell it's the same size as the light in my older birch LB. It also has the copper-clad heating coil rather than the newer stainless steel.

Yes, exactly the configuration as mine although the E is very hard to tell from an L as the open grain lines up 'just right' (no impression). I think the bulb in my first unit was the same size, I sold it to a friend who couldn't wait some time back. No latch, copper clad like yours. I wonder if they all came from a single run?

Tight ground ring on this one, too.

So I got my MFLB finally, after 10+ years with an E-terra (!)

I love it to death already. Love that it is so small, and the hieroglyphic, and single piece wooden body. Love the THICK acrylic top. Love how it hits. Love that all my friends that have tried it so far has choked/coughed up a lung. Love love love.

Now I want to get the Power Adapter. However, from the pictures I have seen, the PA looks like a garage electricity experiment, at best. I know it won't happen, but just looking at it, makes me fear of getting electrocuted. It doesn't look slick to me at all. I know I don't have a choice, but maybe there is some other options out there? Another maker? Some thing that will cover the thing?

It's safe, believe me if you could hurt yourself with it, I would have done it by now. It's actually well built, and is well in line with the aesthetics of the box itself.

I agree with sundaddy...unless you are looking at photos of a prototype, the unit is nicely finished, feels solid and mine has worked flawlessly since I got it....

Anyone with a new MFLB with the latch and what not, i have a quick question.

I have some fairly old batteries but when i put them in this mflb i gotta kinda push up or down id say for the negative ports to touch my battery. Is this because the new mflb is made changes to the battery hole size?? Or maybe my negative contact is too depressed in? I mean its not really a issue because i can just put a tiny bit of pressure in either direction and i get the orange glow....however if there is a new battery that someone recommends and knows it works good with the new boxes, i wanna grab it! lol

btw just had a nice sesh maybe 5 or 6 rips on a fresh trench while outside of my office

totally vaked outa my mind, feels great to be able to feel like this and stay stealthy :)

Hey everyone! My power adaptor came in today and I had a quick question..

Is it ok if I leave the power adaptor plugged in? I did some google searching and saw both answers..

personally i don't leave my power adapter plugged in for too long. might as well pull it out while its not being used. im curious to see what other people do because i've always wondered what the general consensus is on leaving a PA plugged in.

Does anyone else have a newer box that fits the Powerex Imedion 2400 loosely in it? I emailed the company, they said I have a rare defective unit and offer to send me a new unit.

I have the new one and it doesn't have that fault, the battery fits quite snug. If it's bothering you it might be worth returning the unit for a replacement. Or you might want to try and tighten the loop yourself. If you get a pair of pliers and, with the screen flipped aside, squeeze the contact loop. Not sure if it will work but looks like it might. If you are going to try this make sure to put masking tape over the areas the pliers will go to prevent marking the wood.

I keep it plugged in all the time, nothing has happened yet and it's been 3 months, so I think it's fine.

Don't know if it's the right place to ask this question.

Best small glass/water filter for the MFLB?

I just want something small that holds a good amount of water. Don't want to store a huge bong just for this small vape. Ideas/set ups?

nice vid paytonpenn.

well, add me to the list of mflb owners...will arrive tomorrow. ive used one a few times already so i know im gonna like it. i have a glass vg but for a "keep in your pocket and get lit quick vaporizer" i think the LB takes the cake, imho.

merry christmas to me, happy vapors. :)

Here would be a good bong since it's a small amount of water and itself is a small bong. I actually ordered it a week ago and am still waiting its arrival. EHLE 100 ml

does anyone know if the box can just stop working? i had it in the same spot for a few months without batteries, so damage or rough play is not a problem. got powerex 2700 today, took off the peel, its still sticky. not sure if thats also an issue. it wont work, so i am trying to troubleshoot it.

batteries that are not made for the MFLB, need peeling, then you will nreed to clean them in Goo Gone...
and dry well.
The 8 2700s that I had worked dandy for about 30 days and all 8 died

My Powerex AA240-AAAO (2400) ... all 6 that I started with a year ago all still are fine(2 are older than a year)!
Or just buy batteries made fopr the box from BlissSville

i did peel them, ill try the goo gone and see if that helps. ill also tried to charge the batteries and it seems that my changer is broke lol. hopefully this works. the store i got them from seems to have the batteries you mention so no need to buy them online.

these are them correct?

Those appear to be 'the right stuff'. For sure you need to get all the glue out of the way, it will screw up contact. You need a very solid contact to run the kinds of currents (a dozen Amps or so) needed, you need clean metal to metal contact.

As far as failure of the box, if it's one with a light inside it's next to impossible for the screen connections (heater) and bulb to both die at the same time, short of being crushed under a tank. Smart money's on the battery.

I'd start by cleaning the battery off well. Goo Gone, IPA, lighter fluid WD40 and a bunch of others will help, but don't stop until the metal is clean.

i thought i had read somewhere that imedions were made in japan.

2700s are HSD batteries and have to be charged. I'm guessing that's your problem.

Just wanted to say hello. Got my LB a few weeks ago and have been having a great time. I realized pretty quickly how fast the batteries get drained and ordered some extra Imedions (no $$ right now for power adapter, but maybe later on). Also, it's good to hear about everyone's experiences with the awesome customer service/warranty.

@DrSpottyBeard72, you can just go to the Magic Flight website. they're $60 but completely worth the money especially when using with a bong. i'm actually hitting my bong now with the PA :brow:

thanks vitolo and OF, much appreciated. cleaning them worked. my MFLB is ALIVEEEEEEEEE. but OF, i didn't doubt the box. it was a last resort for me to say the box was the issue:) this thing has been pretty well looked at even if not using it:)

to pakalolo: really? i had no idea:( i honesty just assume they were LSD. hopefully they last as long as they say: 1000 charges. also, they didn't have to be charged:) at least one of them didn't lol. base on the info i know, hsd will not last as long as lsd in terms of battery drain and battery life, correct?
