Damn, couldn`t resist anymore for the GCmV :brow: :bang: :mental:
Now it says ...

Thank you for your order from miniVAP Official Store

Including:
MV_Core-Silver-Glass
MV.O-ring.Filters
MV.ADAPTER14MM

Finally I will get my backup unit. :D I hope it will be good and works like his undestroyable old black TCmV brother.

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
I`m not sure my friend if it fits inside the Mv, but its worth to look into I guess...

Wondering how the cap works or is there any screen over the basket ?

cloud-side.jpg

The main idea is to use the 14/18mm reducer with a basket inside and a screen ontop to avoid the herbs fly out from after the hit. I found out that there is no air restriction from the flexicones small hole anymore. Thats why I tried this and it hits like a bong...
Thanks again for the main idea with the reducer @lazylightning
:)

I just tried it with a VXL basket for the Cloud Evo and it works great. The VXL baskets are a little smaller in diameter than the MV baskets but for some reason once it's fully pushed into the adapter, the VXL basket won't drop out even when the adapter is inverted.

I kind of like not having a lid on my basket so I can see the color of my ABV between hits. Using a VXL basket would be pretty easy though.

Thanks a lot for the infos, really appreciate this :)
Think i give it a try! Also like the idea seeing my ABV getting darker slowly.
Maybe this helps me solving my adapter technic problem
with air going back true the basket after hitting and move the smaller upper ones away,
when using dry and grinded herbs with my bigger WT.
The extra longer basket from VXL should handle it better i guess and avoid staying there with only the half basket after one puff. :(

I'm watching this thread like a hawk for Hermes discount codes, so much so that it's becoming a little obsessive. I'm suffering from extreme Minivap envy. At full list price, though, it's out of my budget. I've been on the cusp of ordering a Solo as a stop-gap until Hermes releases a discount code. Bad move?

Not Hermes, but you can use the code HIGHTIMES at Vapornation for 20% off. I believe they have all glass-core updated units at this point, but someone can correct me here.

Thanks for the top tip, but I live in the UK so I need a UK or European supplier discount. The import taxes alone would negate a discount from a US supplier unfortunately.

Hello all

I have been on the forum a while but unable to post as my confirmation emails never came thru!

Great forum has been a godsend so BIG thanks to everyone on here!

I kicked combustion around 12 months ago after investing in a volcano which served me 6 months was kinda hard getting used to the change from combustion but I stuck it out and didn't go back and have never looked back! After 6 months I got tired of the bags and non portable nature of the Cano. Tried several portables MFLB, FF, Solo but wanted to find the best irrespective of price and eventually heard about the MV.

Had to try one out so bought one direct from Hermes, first unit charger was defective. Had a replacement sent out ASAP but once up and running could not get the desired cloud-age hitting it dry (without tearing my throat out with the heat!).

Was back and forth with Hermes and eventually they sent me one of the first glass core models for testing end of last year. REALLY wanted to post on here as there were a lot of people asking about these new cores but was unable to post until now as explained. V frustrating!

First few hits from glass core were great but ended up burning my throat pretty bad and decided enough was enough found this forum and researched WT's. Not a great range here in the UK so settled on a MF Orbiter which is a great little piece. I now LOVE the glass core MV but only hit it thru the WT and NEVER dry anymore - just way too much heat! (Usually use on green or pink setting the results are top notch). Flavour is great first 2-3 hits and clouds are HUGE v nice indeed nothing comes close to this setup IMO.

I also own a Mighty for out and about which again is a superb unit but shall save that for the other thread!

I guess I was at a point of no return once I had the second MV unit and there was a member Sid on here who was saying for the price he didn't expect to have to pay for after market accessories in order to make the MV usable - couldn't agree more with this felt exactly the same and expressed these thoughts to Jorge @ Hermes who has been incredibly helpful (sometimes slow to get back but that's understandable). I hear that they're developing a new device and also glass mods / add on's for the current MV.

A lot of people having bad experiences on here which is shit considering the price tag but i strongly recommend they hang in there if serious about vaping as this is the best unit on the market IMO.

Anyways wanted to check in and say hi so glad to finally be able to contribute on here!

All the best!

Barnard :)

Hello all
Welcome to the club, thx for sharing your experience with us !

All you feckers getting the back up units are making my wallet quiver with equal parts want and anticipation. I love yall really.:luv:

Same wallet problem here bro... :)

@showman
@Vapst

Thanks for the link, gents. Much appreciated. I'm checking it out now. It's a shame Vapefiend doesn't offer a discount for FC members.

Your welcome, wish you good luck and a undestroyable unit ! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

Forgot to mention my now preferred method is basket-less I just load direct into the chamber hit on green seems to produce the thickest clouds for me. Red for me is too much wipes out all the flavour.

@Kommyknocker I saw your pic re harvesting how do you do this please do you use something to catch the oil?

My apartment is cold as shit a lot of the time so any nectar is held in a kind of frigid stasis. Not gotten round to scooping that out. Soon!
My preferred method: I simply get a straw that'll fit, leave the nectar filled glass piece near a heat source that's warm enough to soften and push the straw in again and again. Almost messless.

I know you have probably read it in this thread, but you need longer tubing (I agree we shouldn't be buying accessories for the minivap but we have no choice). I suggest buying the three pack Herbie whip on planetvape and is only $22 for 3 Herbie whips. Since it is much longer than flexi whip, it cools the heat dramatically. I have the Teflon (received in dec 2014 straight from Hermes) and I can not use mouthpiece or flexi because it Is way too hot. It seems this unit works best with water or longer tubing. Still absolutely love it ( especially that I can use my full lung capacity)

This is a complete guess, but I think there is a lot of variation in minivaps in the last few months (I think they moved hq). Some are hotter than others.
