I read a lot about health concerns with table vaporizers regarding certain metal pieces getting hot and so on, I guess you know what I mean.
I was just wondering if there are similar concerns for the MFLB? Maybe it doesnt apply for this product due to different heating process?
Thanks a lot in advance!

- Auto-stop smart charger with over-charge protection
- Charge 1~4 battery/batteries
- Charges AA, AAA, Ni-MH, Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries
- Comes with 100~240V US plug AC power cable

$14.74

Looks like a knock of my sony. My opinion of it would be to save your money for the Maha C9000 or Lacross equivalent. The sony charger on amazon with 4 2700 mah HSD batts is a descent price (I got it with my prime acct so it got here in 2 days for less than $30 usd), but the charger switches between fast and slow mode charging depending on how many batts are in it. 2 or 1 and it goes into fast charge, other modes are slow. Which is a pain because sometimes I want to charge 4 batts at once on fast this charger can't.

I don't know what to say about the power adapter that hasn't already been said. It works exactly as expected. The thick power cord gives me peace of mind.

Also, I used it plugged into the cigarette lighter of my car using the car adapter that came with my MyrtleZap. No need to have a big power inverter along with the wall wart hanging from your lighter socket.

I believe something like this would also work but I cannot find info on the size of the plug (it should be type M). Although buying one from the Zapman would be less expensive. Does anyone know where to get these adapters at good prices?

I think this PST=Cig21 will work, it matches the specs of the MZ car adapter. $8 usd

Hey magic-flight I'm currently in another country right now with out my LB; can I still order the adapter and give you the serial number later? I want to go ahead and just order it now since I will be moving in 3 weeks once I get back to the states.

You can place the order, but you will need to explain in the comments section why you do not have a serial number.

OK cool thank you! And ordered!!

Hey, thanks but that's a female cigarette lighter socket. What I'm talking about is the picture to the right where it says "for the inverse click here."

However, with shipping it is $18. I've looked around a little and found this site:

http://www.minute-man.com/acatalog/Online_Catalog_Cigarette_Ligher_Plugs_and_Sockets_272.html

I'm just not sure of the exact specs as far as maximum rating or fuse. With shipping these are around $15+

The zap auto adapter is $12 with free shipping.

See the link in my sig. There is no section for health concerns as such, but your concerns are dealt with in various answers to questions in both the Design & Manufacturing and Usage & technique sections.

i just got the MFLB a few days ago. The battery length is pretty short. Are there a better type of batteries that I can pick up? Can I charge them in my MFLB charger as well? Thanks!

See the sections on Batteries and Chargers in the link in my sig.

It is labeled as a superfast charger. Unless it has a setting for slower charging, it isn't suitable for LSD batteries such as the ones that are sold with the LB. Further, superfast chargers must be used carefully in order to avoid damage to your batteries. Even properly used, they will inevitably reduce the battery lifetime. Cheap chargers are unlikely to have all the protections necessary to prevent overheating and other problems associated with superfast charging. Even when they claim such protection (as this one does) they are usually inadequate. This one also does not look like it has any cooling. Superfast charging generates lots of heat, which is why the battery life is reduced.

You get what you pay for.

The zap auto adapter is $12 with free shipping.

Click on the right where it says inverse, it takes you about 3/4 down the page to the product PST-Cig21. You will see it's clearly a male plug on the car end.

EDIT : Vaked and mis-read your post... I see this for the part, not sure how much these guys want for shipping, but I would give my money to MZ before the electronics site. FWIW it is showing me $8 next to the picture of the right part:
Part Number PST-Cig21
Price $8.00 each

Sorry for the mix up. I did see that one and it does look to be right. With the least expensive shipping option it is $4 more than if you buy it from zapville.

I just purchased a MFLB on Christmas Eve and I love it. I'm still trying to figure out a technique for optimal vapor and inhalation. This is difficult to do and I think the power adapter would help- so I just put in an order for one tonight.

I can't wait to have it.

hit it slow with no stem, and taste the vapor,if its not hot,or not vapor, hit it slower. And pulse your hits.

Magic Flight Launch Box, how to take better hits? with a bong maybe?

Hello, I'm Ben, new to the Vaporizer world, and I recently got a Magic Flight Launch Box and love it! I use cannabis in it, but I feel like it can take anywhere from 7 to 20 hits to get high! If I want to get very high, it can take 30! Is there a way to improve hit efficiency? I thought maybe using a bong or even more power, but 2 or more AAs seem like they could break the thing. Also, I inhale with the battery in (for 5 secs 1st to heat up) for 10-15 seconds slowly, and blow out fairly slow. Is this how you are supposed to do it?

Thank you for your time!

P.S. Can the vaporizer be hooked up to a bong because I am unsure if it is being filled with the vapor since I cannot see it? This may seem silly to ask, but I wanted to know if it is able to be done with the MFLB because I have seen it done with other vapes. Also, does the MFLB make enough vapor to use a bong?

Is there a thread explaining the best way to charge/discharge batteries? I just bought a Lacrosse BC-700 and Powerex batteries. There are several setting and ways to test, etc. I have been messing around with it, but I'm not sure what I am doing...

For normal use I stick with the "discharge" mode on my lacrosse BC-909. It will drain the battery and then charge it back up. This mode will also show how much charge the batteries are holding.
I only use the refresh/break-in mode with new batteries or older ones that show problems.

1) could you confirm that the power adaptor will work in the UK if I use a US-UK plug adaptor. Ie - 3 pins rather than 2?

2) could you also confirm whether there are any plans to make a car-usable version of the adaptor? If so, would this be an attachment to the current power adaptor or would it be an entirely new product?

Re 1: Yes -- the PA will work with UK mains voltage as long as you have a prongs adapter to plug it in.

Re 2: I think that the car adapter may already be available, and it does work with the current version of the product (I have to check to see if these are ready). If you are looking for a car adapter, include that request in the comments section of the order. It will add about $7 to the overall cost, and should simply plug together in a manner similar to the existing setup. I will post an update when I know more.

-- Magic-Flight

Ordered the power adaptor with the car adaptor and the 3 foot extension cord.:)

Not sure if I need the extension cord but better to be safe than sorry!

Quick question @ Magic - Flight:

The comments section on the order form asks if you would like to order the "auto-adaptor" and the extension cord. Is the car adaptor the same thing as the auto-adaptor? If not, what is the auto-adaptor? I don't want to miss out on anything! I may have to amend my order if I have!

Cheers.

So it's worse than I thought.

Radio shack has the type with different sized connectors that I think would work.

edit:

I see in the post above that Magic Flight is offering car adapters for only $7. I don't know how I missed that.

On the Powerex 2700 batts, make sure that you set the charge mode at 700mA. Anything lower, and you may miss a termination. Just do a normal charge. If you ever plan to use your batts in pairs, I'd suggest to run them through the "test mode" so that you can pair them up with the most similar capacities.

Most people will not need nearly that many hits to get high using the LB. Your technique might need improvement. See the Usage & Techniques section in the link in my sig. If you insert a fully charged battery and wait 5 seconds before inhaling and you are not getting visible vapour, either your LB is defective or you are inhaling too fast. (I assume you are using at least 2400 mAh batteries.) Try this test:

http://www.vaporpedia.com/wiki/Magi...w_can_I_tell_if_my_Box_is_running_too_cool.3F

As many here will testify, the LB is capable of producing thick vapour when you use the right technique. Some (not me) have hooked it up to a bong with success. One of them will probably describe that for you here.

Re using two AAs: someone (I think in this thread) showed a jerry-rigged setup that used two AAs for the LB. I don't see how it would break the Box, but it's not a simple thing to do. From the comments here recently, it's not necessary if you buy the AC power adapter.

Count me in the 'most' category. 20-30 hits? Wow. DrBen, since you're new to vapor, you may be experiencing the difference between the vapor high and the smoke high, although you can certainly approach the couchlock effect of smoke with a vape like the LB, which can reach combustion level. There's also the tolerance issue. If you've been smoking a lot, chances are you'll have to vape a lot as well.

DrBenlovesvapor said:

Adding a bong isn't going to increase vapor. It'll just let you get more vapor per hit. You don't need more power. The longer you leave the battery connected, the hotter the vape will get.
