unclear on the warranty status at the mo, only just died on me a few hours ago, a trade in sounds nice right about now, being cloudless is no fun....

First, you should contact dopefiend, your authorized VXL representative. Depending on what your hear there, you then may need to submit a ticket at VXL's website explaining all the details. But first, be sure to check with dopefiend.

You wouldn't even need a fan. Check out the vapor lung thread ...

If you have any sort glass gong adapter with an 18mm female connection you could make one easily. Interesting idea ... wonder how milky you could get those vapor lungs with the cloud.

oldie, the strangest thing has happened, spent the last few nights flipping the switch on my cloud on and off, hoping for signs of life, nothing happened so getting pretty pissed at the machine i decided to give it a few smacks and by some sort of miracle.....the led went from red and stone cold to green led, machine slowly heated up like it did before it failed on me......CLOUD RESURRECTION I THANK THE GODS FOR THIS GIFT..........hoping cloud holds out now till int evo is released.

I'm glad your unit has been reborn. Having said that, probably a good thing the international EVO's will be shipping soon. If you have the Plus version, it's likely the prime suspect is the heater connection. At one time the connection was too fragile, at another point there were quality issues at VXL's (shortly thereafter) terminated contract manufacturer. This was the cause of most of the Plus failures.

If/when the unit does fail, and if it is still in the warranty period, I would do as suggested previously. The reseller will have been provided with instructions and/or you will need to contact VXL Support with your proof of purchase.

Is this stuff heat tolerant?

How much heat? (Surely you don't have the heater connection in mind?)

Well, that joy was short-lived. Do keep us posted.

Hmmm. I'm playing with difference settings trying to get thick, white vapor. Up to 5 and no luck. Did get light brown ABV at 5 for a first time. I realized I have never fully pushed the plug all the way in on the unit. DAH. Was so curious if that was it but was already too stoned to try another hit to see if that was problem. Will try tonight. I have not been warming up for 20 min as suggested above.

Would not be surprised if that's the reason!

My good herb Vapes up thick without much heat,
but my lower quality herbs I usually need a thorough heat up to get thick vapor.

EDIT: @5dogswalking
Oh hey, you have the EVO right? Looks like you accidentally posted in the original model thread (a lot less readers most likely).

One more tip: start the EVO pre-heating at max until it turns green. Then turn it down to where you want it and wait a bit more.

Old meets new.

For kicks and giggles, I paired my ticker Cloud with my EVO Early Bird Swagger HT (with ice pinches). This ELB had blue dream and a dab of tasty concentrate goo rolled in kief. Safe to say I was way, way blasted after this hit, which was thick 'n tasty!

Love this HT!

Are there listings for alternative Hydratubes to use with the Cloud someone could point me towards? For example, the Vaporblunt Pinnacle Chandelier attachment, etc.?

TheRamblingSoul,
Been too long,

The evo's have been treating me well, recently. However the power adapters are the only issue that's been consistently bothersome. Something tells me I'm not the first person to run into this problem. Also suggestions or comments about cleaning a dirty bamboo would be greatly appreciated.

If your questions are re the EVO, probably should post in the EVO thread.

Rumor is that is now the defacto response to folks with a broken cloud or cloud+ that remains under warranty.

I'd totally get a Cloud if they could fit a strong enough fan in the same sized case. I'd trade full length bamboo for a fan. So much versatility (bags, cleaning, pre heat, etc)

Does anyone know how long the ELB piece is?
