My friend got his at high times for 90$ but that's with the 2 bowls and bubbler, I'm sure just the body could be found for cheaper

Ok guys, soon to be new Solo owner - just ordered it in the MassDrop sale. I'm looking to accessorize, and am looking for some input from you guys.

As I'll be using this for MMJ and mostly while I'm out while the EQ will hold down the bedside/tabletop duties for the most part, portability is going to be a big thing for me.

First, looking for either a passthrough charger or a battery pack/charger. Anyone have experience with the latter? There was one that was in the vote, but it didn't get enough votes to make it. The former would be a nice thing to have if I can find a pass through charger that can be used in the car and at home while charging in case I flatten the batteries. **Edit - I'm a moron, I missed the part about the passthrough not being able to charger the batteries. Derp. Oh well.**

Second, what are the absolute essentials that I should buy? I know the PVHES is one, but I honestly don't mind a hard pull. I typically elbow pack the EQ for whip use which becomes fairly restrictive in pull - is anyone able to compare the two? I know that I need to get high heat O-Rings. Are there any good stems or bowls that would stand up to a klutz like me better than straight glass? I know there's wood stems out there, but I'm trying to keep my costs low to get as much as I need right now. I'd like to get the stealth adapter from PV because having it in a cup or something similar would be awesome. Anyone know of any cups that are actually built for the Solo and maybe have some extra functionality for hiding meds and such? Oh! And for connecting a whip, as that's part of my master plan.

Third, and most interestingly, I need some kind of bag to carry the Solo in so that it will be handy while walking. I'm a bigger guy so I need something with a decent strap. I don't want a backpack, I want something small that will allow me to take the Solo, a couple of containers for herb and another for collecting aftervape, a couple small cleaning tools, and that is preferably water resistant as I'll be walking in the rain a lot. If there's nothing that exists, I suppose I'll have to make it. I'm not wanting to say man purse like thing, but... I need something.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

There is actually no such thing as a 'passthrough charger'. You cannot charge and run in PA (passthrough) at the same time. One or the other. There's only one connector for both functions, switching is automatic based on voltage input. I have built a battery pack, yes it can be used to charge it 'barefoot' or can power up the sort of PA Pipes and Tim are making to do PA mode. That is reduce the normal 12 Volts from the battery pack and you no longer charge but enter PA mode.

This is what mine looks like. It uses 3 18650s and is normally in the compact camera case it's sitting on:

I use an old camera case to carry mine. I bought it years ago to hold an older digital camera which were of course larger so the case is larger. I suspect some of the ones for small camcorders are about right? It's of course well padded and fairly 'rainproof'.

You can buy just the chillum for 30 $ and it not only cools it but has a perc

can you post a pic or a link ?
I want to see the perc inside the chillum ,
maybe I'm thinking of a different piece .
The chillum that ataxian posted has no perc , IIRC .

Good idea .

You'll find ALL your Solo accessory needs at Planetvape.ca . imo
1. Get a PA ,
2. PVHES and Gong adapter .
3. O-rings and screens ( but they ship you one when you buy PVHES )
4. Omicron mouthpiece tips ( they're real cheap for a few )
5. Water tools ( Bubblers )

Enjoy your Solo dude .

O it's the helix , you're speaking of .
I've been wanting one of those for a while , since I saw it paired up with the BHOLT .
Never knew it comes with a carb version tho .
And the fact , that you can buy it separate from the pipe kit too .
But I'm guessing $ 30 + shipping . ( $ 55 ) ?
or if I can get a less expensive WT from them too at the same time and get free shipping .hmmm
I've seem aqualabs products before , and they look very well made and worth the $ .
I'll try my LHS too , and see if I can get lucky .

Can you confirm ,
You'll need a 14 mm gong adapter to use it ?

tia

What does this do? How/why is this used? Thanks!

You put your finger over the carb/hole ,and lift off to clear the helix/pipe when full of vapors .

I sadly can't confirm that its 14mm but ehakim could probably chime in with that info.
@Snappo basically what poonman said, if you look at the last photo it shows a diagram of the whole thing

OK...but what does it do that a standard stem and chillium don't? What is this glass contraption for? Is there an advantage over the regular stem/chillium? Have you used one? Thanks!

I can only truly answer 1 of your questions .
No , I have not used one .

But it looks like a bigger chillum ,
Here's the explanation behind the science , it's on the first page .
You see the Venturi theory again ...

edit ;
I think Stu's Mobius is from aqualabs , on my wish list for sure .

that isn't the gong one so you are taking a chance on it not fitting properly, in which case you would need tubing from the stem to the helix. OTOH you might get lucky and it will fit right over the stem with just a little tubing to make it airtight or even better it is a direct fit into the heating chamber

There's a Gong version ?
I just thought it was like the PN WT or the new F-Bomb .
You have to get the 14 mm adapter first , to hook it up .
If it fits directly in , that would be great , but I don't think it does .

Hey fellas, can anyone who has tried both compare the PVHES Straight Turbo vs. the Straight Shorty Turbo.

Any difference in performance? Thanks.

So I called up the place I found. They don't have a website or any more info other than their Craigslist ad. Man who picked up the phone had a thick Chinese accent, and clarified that they get their vapes from the manufactures, and sell retail and wholesale. He mentioned the solo would come with 30 guarantee from the shop, and includes arizers three year warranty. They have the solo for $119.

Now the dilemma is to either drive out and pick up this solo, or order everything online. As mentioned, I was originally planning on getting one from the massdrop sale. Total will come out to about 130ish. But the unit won't be shipped out for another 14 days. So planetvape me be faster to order from, even thou the solo will be 160, I was gonna order a gong stem too so I figured I'd order everything together.

On another note, I emailed arizer about the differences in model numbers, and the representative just told me the serial numbers are for initial purposes, meaning all the units should be the same. Is that true?
