all good in the hood.
I have a question. I have been on the pre-registration list for some time, but just read that there was a pre-order? I never received a email about that. I am just curious. thanks!

They opened the preorders for a limited number of folks. The first batch is held up in customs. Once the whole customs issue is resolved, they will probably send out more invites for order placement.

I've spent the last 2 weeks reading about the Solo, the Pax and now the Ascent and all the portables seem to to be flawed in different ways so I'd rather not have to deal with not being able to send my broken vap back to whereever from NZ. My VG awaits in my car. I'll be hitting that before driving home.

I will await the Ascent and see if it is an improvement on the others ... USA customs aside :)

I can vouch for that!

All of the portable battery operated vapes are flawed!

Jk, just the ones that I've tried or almost bought, like a half dozen or so. I was hoping that the ascent would be the one, but but but but but but but but but but but but but but but but ah fuck it.

Tomorrow's hump day, who thinks we'll get our announcement?

I'm pretty sure we'll get another announcement announcing that they will be announcing soon... something very significant about something.....................................................................................maybe.:mental:

If I was to get another pax, I would order from them directly at full price to insure the 10-year warranty. I got my first one brand new for a $35 discount and technically they didn't have to honor the warranty because of the discount, and because it was from an ebay seller. So if it had needed repair I would have had to say it was a gift or something, and I would rather not have to make that choice.

Well, I got my refund from DV, so... Uhhhhh..... Anyone know where the best deal for a Pax is online?

I'm really struggling with whether to cancel my order, too. It's not so much about being impatient...it's this increasingly bad taste in my mouth from the colossal marketing and customer relations screw-ups that keep happening. And, honestly, that damn Facebook page. I just can't fathom what they're thinking at this point. It's like someone read a book called "How to Make Your Customers Hate You & Lose All the Goodwill You've Accumulated Over the Years in 5 Months or Less!" and decided to put it into practice.

Unfortunately, I've already bought and sold the Pax, so I know it's not a viable alternative for me. I wish the Inhalater XP wasn't so sketchy and inconsistent. If someone could please just make a portable flower vape that will fit in my pocket, not require almost daily cleaning (Pax), not smell awful at high heat (Pax), produce decent clouds, and be absolutely mindless to use (i.e. no MFLB or Firewood), I'm in.

The ascent should be "that" vape Meghan. I won't be asking for a refund until the PayPal grace period is almost up because I believe in the ascents function that much! Unfortunately it's the ascents existence I'm having trouble in believing in at this point. A complete media black out is sooooo NOT the way to have handled this particular situation!

I agree...the only thing keeping me from canceling my order at this point is the fact that this looks like the "perfect" portable vape (as perfect as supposedly exists at the moment, at least). I just wish it was coming from a company that respected its customers.

For all of my bitching and all of their their screw-ups, we have to remember that this is a ground-breaking product that could really upset the personal vape market and likely grab much of pax's market share right off the bat. And that probably has mobilized the competition, to the extent that a well-connected competitor could have greased some official to make sure this thing doesn't clear the red tape until after the holidays.

Of course this is just more useless speculation, but I believe it is a realistic scenario. And I won't be canceling until the paypal grace period runs out either.

so are those of us who preordered through GV going to get a different preregistration gift than those who preregistered through davinci direct?

We are a very patient group, but the fact that there hasn't been a SINGLE DaVinci rep on this forum since the "customs hold" started is astonishing! it's been a week and a fucking half without one person giving us any assurances or information at all.

Organicix, you have our money, show us some respect and at least tell us what the fuck is going ON! I almost feel like starting a mutiny at this point!

The thing is, I'm not upset about the delay. I'm upset that DV has decided that the best strategy is to not only say nothing to their customers (some of whom have already paid and were told their unit was going to ship on a specific day) by way of explanation, but also to do stuff like pretend that the Ascent is actually available and put acquiring one on their FB list of "5 Things to Do This Summer". I totally appreciate what people have said about DV likely not wanting to make any promises they won't be able to keep, or tell us something that may not be true, but come on...disappearing/obfuscating to the point that people start questioning the existence of your product is much, much worse than just saying to everyone, "We know this sucks, we don't know what the resolution will be, please hang in there with us!"

Personally, I'm not asking for promises or specifics...just some reassurance that this product will one day be released. At the moment, it feels like DV has dropped off the face of the earth...not reassuring at all!

Can't believe how this has been handled! Have sent davinci two emails and heard absolutely nothing in a week. Next email will be to cancel order. $359 that can go towards something else.

I 100% agree. Most of us would be fine with the waiting if we weren't ALSO screaming at a brick wall to get some assurances that we will eventually see the product. It's starting to seem like the owner of Organicix took all of our money and is hiding out on some tropical secluded beach.

Looks like DV finally started responding to the angry posts on facebook

"Thanks for hanging in with us Nozs - we are hoping this process smooths out so these logistical delays are also cleared for all future shipments as well."

"Hi Kevin - we desperately want to get your Ascent to you. It has been one thing after another and we are looking to get everything smoothed out with customs very soon to release the first wave to our Pre-Order customers."

"Hi Fred - we sincerely apologize for the delay. The Ascent has slowly been making its way through customs. As soon as they are free & clear they will be shipped to consumers."

"We apologize Ian for the various delays in the release of the Ascent. Our goal is to create the best portable vaporizer in its class so the pursuit of that has left some people to feel like we don't care. It is just the opposite. We want to provide a unit to everyone who is anticipating one. Once the issues with customs clears then the shipping to consumers will take place."

I don't see these on there.
