Cloudy...
Lots more information that you should answer all of your questions that will be posted on our Indiegogo site shortly. Just making the final edits :)

Saw the pics of the tubes. Are those what will be coming with the special edition? Also is there any upgrade policy in place if we want to trade our old units in? Even a small credit would be great. Are the only units shipping first are donaters? Sucks to have VAS.lol I want it now:) New name should the VapeXhale Fusion or the Phoenix( rising from the ashes):). Seems fitting after all you went through. Officially a member of the fanatic club as soon as paypal gets my shit straight. Maybe have to have a fire sale to raise a little capital

Also if you take a look at the post in the last 10 pages, almost all your questions will be answered ;)

I wish I can pay for the fanatic club too, you make me so jealous...

Re using glass (or whatever) rather than the stock ELB's, waaaaaaay back early on there was discussion about the performance attributes of the ELB's design. IIRC VXL explained that the turbulence in the ELB was a major factor in the Cloud's exceptional extraction. That translates into better economy of herb. I'm OK with a different bowl but only as long as the extraction efficiency is not compromised. ;)

For sure the elb's make a difference... I tried a lot of things this weekend in attempt to duplicate an elb; however, none were as effective as the elb another member was nice enough to bring down to me (to save the day!)....

As for concentrates, I just sandwich it between herb and it works wonderfully... you can turn the heat up a bit, and the elb lasts a LONG time. If you turn it up too high and hit too long--it combusts.

Those who tried it and use traditional methods for concentrates, as well, say this method was better, and far easier. Mileage probably varies, but this method works...

As for cleaning, i just soak in 420 "soak and rinse formulated for small items." That stuff removes all traces of material or concentrate with no work--even with elbs that combustion occurred.

Has anyone cut up a volcano concentrate pad and stuffed it in an ELB? Not sure if that would prevent oil from leaking out the sides.

I've sandwiched between herb and it works but by the fourth or fifth hit the herb is spent and starts to really affect the taste in a bad way.

I personally do not like to mix any concentrates with flowers in vaporizers. I simply like my herb at a much lower temperature than concentrates and just don't like them mixed together compromising the taste and experience.

As far as a better bowl design for concentrates is certainly could be done. IMO the EZB is the best designed bowl on the market for flowers, and still works very well (better than any other screen based vape IMO) with some adjustment for concentrates. I have some ideas for another bowl design, but they would greatly restrict air flow which may or may not diminish the experience.

I am looking forward to this as well. I am still waiting to hear what new information is posted on the site. I am still considering pre-ordering. I hate to be the first to get a new product these days. I much rather wait for someone else to work out the bugs for me but I don't want Vapexhale go out of business.

I feel like I am in the same situation. Despite all the rave reviews from a few friends here, I have never seriously considered a Cloud. That was until I heard their story and saw all the support from other members in this thread, now I really want to support them. I keep visiting the contribution page and I am thinking I will pull the trigger eventually.

Guys, I've had a cloud from September 2012, I have had zero problems with mine. Mine is never a "old ticker" or a cloud plus guess I hit the sweet spot.

Vapexhale even gave me a deal buy winning the first hydratube contest. I am glad to give them my 500 and support them fully. You guys are the best vapexhale, heres too new vape.

Ok coolio I'm down for cause! Couple of questions before i throw my money at you;

1. Can I presume international shipping is okay with the $500 pack? i live in Australia.
2. Will you also supply the correct voltage for the destination of delivery?
(ie. I would like 240v or 220v sent to me not 110v)

I've sandwiched between herb and it works but by the fourth or fifth hit the herb is spent and starts to really affect the taste in a bad way.

True enough... But the "bad way" flavor is a bit subjective; if you keep the ratio of concentrate to herb high enough... the concentrate over powers the spent herb flavor.

That said, I will experiment with a stainless sponge material, in loo of herb, inserted in the elb and report back.

One easy solution is to just put the concentrate in the elb, and use the CLoud inverted (upside down) in a water pipe or bong. The lid on the elb is very fine screen and nothing really leaves the elb--whatever small amount does will stay out of the bamboo if inverted. Perhaps, no help to hydratube users but a pretty good solution nonetheless...

Also, as a side note and full disclosure--personally, I just don't care for concentrates... I mostly just have them around for others who enjoy when they visit. So anyone reading my opinion should take that into consideration.

It's just a personal preference. I tried a few concentrates in Amsterdam and also around here... one chick that I was dating liked them a lot... I tried to like them, but they just didn't do it for me. The flavor isn't pleasant to me even when not mixed with herb.

Recently, I have tried lots of concentrates and they all pretty much have the same oily, unpleasant, aftertaste, which I do not care for. Moreover, the stuff just tries to puts me to bed (which when I was dating the girl that liked them--wasn't a bad thing! hahaha).

The flavor of kind herb is just so much more pleasant to me. And i enjoy the feeling a lot more--especially of sativas. My lungs enjoy herb more as well.

I don't think it's the strength of concentrates that bothers me; as my tolerance is definitely very high--I learned that in Amsterdam--the locals and I got along well :) And they were skeptical of Americans. No more! lol! I can rip a Cloud all day, elb after elb, and be relatively fine and functional--no matter the variety of herb. The concentrates, on the other hand, even in small amounts just make me tired and less social.

That all said, I like to tinker and don't mind dirtying elbs, as the 420 cleaner takes care of that with no effort, and i'll see if i can get the elb to work with hydratubes with concentrates without adding herb.

I wonder if there's an option on indiegogo to ask funders where they heard about this promotion. It would be good to know to understand who these donators are and where they come from. I'm hypothesizing it's 90%+ FuckCombustion based on watching the users on here reporting buying. Everyone on here is being awesome about joining in on this.

I agree that we should all work to comment more and try to get to the next page. More attention is always a good thing for a fundraiser.

However I just thought I'd point something out that's on my mind.

I almost feel like getting to the next page on technology won't make that much of a difference. Think about the people looking at the technology section. Most likely only 5-10% of them would be possibly interested in a vaporizer. If you laser target a niche where the majority of people are Cannabis fans from the beginning AND a big portion of them are interested in cool glass paraphernalia and vaporizers, then you have much higher quality potential buyer traffic. That's why I think spreading awareness elsewhere is a better use of energy and something that can really launch this thing further.

If my hypothesis is true about almost all the funders being from FC, then I say don't bother putting in a lot of effort trying to find donators on indiegogo. Indiegogo is mostly a vehicle to collect $$$ for the fundraiser, and may not be the best source of buyers (although it is still a viable channel, so we're all commenting to help). Since your product is very niche based, it won't haul in as many buyers in the tech section on indiegogo as something like this, which has a much more broad tech demographic. If the site was called FuckCombustionIndiegogo for example, then obviously the VXH campaign would do well because it is more fitted to the demographics.

There's an opportunity cost here. I'd weigh the pros and cons of hoping for indiegogo funders vs targeting people interested in vaporizers. I just talked to my brother the other day about this deal, knowing he likes vaporizers, and he's really considering doing the $500 package. I'd have a lot harder time trying to convince a random techie guy who may or may not like herbal stuff, or vaporizers.

At the end of the day, the people shelling out $500 or $1000 are going to be the people who are already interested in vaporizers, or at least cannabis friendly. Who knows how many people in the tech section fit that criteria.

You guys already have traffic channels with people who fit the criteria that can be utilized right now. For instance, make a youtube video with someone talking and laying out all the details of this indiegogo fundraiser and post it. Your subscribers will see it on their youtube homepage. It might show up when people search "VapeXhale" and etc. Those are really valuable consumers, because they are more likely to be past the phase of "should I get a vaporizer?" -- they're more likely in the consumer phase of "which vaporizer should I get?" -- which is much closer to buying. Indiegogo isn't anywhere near these phases.

These same kind of people can be found on your web site. You even have potential buyers who have made up their minds, wanting to purchase a VXH but see it's sold out. They could be directed to the fundraiser to participate on a deal even better than retail, boosting this campaign.

Also, most forum communities that have an interest in cannabis or vaporizers don't even have a clue that this campaign is going on.

There's a lot of potential here. The campaign is almost half way done so if you want to try to target the criteria I'm talking about, the sooner the better.

Hey SM...that link is for the 2nd page, but it looks like you rolled over to the first page now...

Note that both Technology and United States must be set as filters.

The site shows that I had a "referral" to "someone" yesterday. I've no idea how or even if I did that. :uhh:

@11eleven11 - great post! :nod:

Hey guys, I have a huge favor to ask. We were told that we should add was some links to user video testimonials. If any of you guys can shoot a 30 second to 1 minute video of why you love your VapeXhale vaporizer, that will go a long ways. I think this goes without saying, but we need to keep the video MJ free. Link your videos in this thread and I look forward to watching them!

Sorry for being dense, but is that this thread or the indiegogo thread? Or post here and link there?

I'd say both. That gets more comments in the indiegogo section. Here is good too. He'll probably pick through them and select the ones that he thinks are best fitting for the main campaign page.

I may have missed something, the $500 contribution level for the nimbus is no longer on the Indiegogo site. Will that option come back?
My original cloud from first pre-order is still working great, but I do have the itch. Thank you.
