Looks nice! What's that bit you got to connect the drip tip?

Thanks! It's actually a 00 SS single flared ear gauge tunnel, at about 10mm it fits drip tips pretty well, or if its too big simply add a thicker o ring around the drip tip.

Edit: in the bottom left pic you can see a SS single flared gauge on the table. That is a size 0 just a tad too small.

Do a foil test. Place some on top of the foil and use a lighter to heat it from below. Is there anything left in the end? If so that stuff will clog up the EO cart and you will have a bad time.

Ya it definitely leaves a trail. Thanks a lot I appreciate it. I'm going to change it to loose leaf

I had an idea that I was curious about, what if one were to put the qwiso in some VG and let it soak in there(shake it up real good) and proceed to use that in the EO since the EO is almost the same as the EL cart besides a few watts. So maybe diluting the Qwiso make its less likely to clog? I could be wrong though

I seriously doubt it. Think about it. The VG (or PG) will evaporate normally anyway and you'll still have the junk in the QWISO to foul the cart. You need to move the junk somewhere else, not add stuff to it and still put it in the cart.

Nothing useful has changed, the junk still won't evaporate away at the temperatures we have to work with.

Adding water to a messy pan still leaves a mess when the water boils off.

Dilution won't matter really. You will need more end-liquid to "get there" and eventually all the plant waxes will end up accumulating anyways. Clean concentrates are recommended for a reason, and that reason isn't because we like to be a pain in the ass.

Haha, well I would but im working on that job thing, Im halfway done with a Bachelors degree for Music Production and Business, and plan to pursue a Masters. I just cant afford to do anything like that in the Med states, especially the one I desire most, California:haw: (nothing against the other states, i just prefer the weather in Cali) In due time I will make it to one or the other though :smug:

Don't give up so easy, these guys are still in downtown Berkeley (under a different name of course):

Inside Berkeley, land of People's Park and more dispensaries than fast food joints (seriously).....how much better do you expect it to get? Let 'em know you're coming, dude!

On the earlier topic of QWISO:

BHO comes out cleaner than QWISO every time I make it. I think it's because the butane comes out very very cold compared to the ISO. Colder solvent means lower solubilities, so butane pulls less, but it pulls cleaner. We can clean BHO even more wwith high-proof ethanol in a process called winterization. Perhaps you can clean QWISO oil with ethanol and get a purer end-result. It's the excess plant waxes that will gunk up your CEO cart. The process might not be worth it. I would vape the QWISO in another vaporizer and wait to get cleaner oils for the CEO.

A big part other than the temperature is rather its a "polar-Iso" or "non-polar-butane" solvent obiously both will be helped with the reduction of any heat, colder the better. I actually use 99% iso all the time to winterize my bho oils and works wonderfully. Just make a setup in a big cooler packed with dry ice and winterizing becomes a breeze especially if you have a vacumm assist with a watson #1 filter.

You're very welcome. Before there was a bridge, there was a ferry service across the bay. Rich people from San Francisco built little 'get away places'.....the joint's filthy with old timey mansions in places. Check out the Clarmont Hotel:
http://www.claremontresort.com/

The largest wood frame building in the state. Simply amazing, reasonable prices for brunches too..... Then check out Tilden park, it's just behind the city in the hills around it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tilden_Regional_Park

When I worked there I used to eat lunch in the park a couple times a week. Often heating a can of soup on my little gas stove on a picnic table in one of the glens. Hard to take a bad attitude back to work that way.

Trust me, there are worse places to live and work.

BTW here's a local dispensary:
http://www.harborsidehealthcenter.c...Templates/Your_Skin/HTN/SearchResult-smo.html

They're in Oakland (next city south) but they'll deliver if you're too busy to drop by.....

Like I said, we got enough room for a few good souls.

And the TV shop is maybe 40 minutes drive away on the other side of the bay?

Hi everyone, I just ordered a ThermoVape Cera Stainless steel Loose Leaf with 3x2900mha battery + charger and a thermal cap. I'm ready to wait for 5 weeks (as TET said on the confirmation mail), after reading nearly the entire thread I really hope everything will be fine with mine.

Soo, I really hate to bring it up again.

This was my quick mock up of a thumb switch, first of all, this bad boy worked. 2nd, not consistently, it also gets hot, falls apart, and is made of well, plastic, foil and screws. (Made long ago, and I dont use it)

I like the idea of a thumb momentary switch though, something that can't get clicked on, maybe even locked off, and spring loaded.

Anyone?

Fun.

I suggest getting rid of the aluminum foil in favor of a more solid, better conductor. Brass would be a better choice there I think. I'd also get away from round, you end up with a thin line on the bottom and two even smaller point contacts above at best. These are no doubt contributing to the heating issue (which you have to fix).

I'd suggest an insulating disk that holds the battery back, like a large washer, with a slot across it that a wedge shaped insert slides in. The 'fat end' of the wedge has a tapped hole so the screw can be installed after the assembly is in place in the tube. The top of the wedge should have a round groove to match the contact in the core. I'd probably invert the battery to get a flat surface to work with as well.

Make sense?

Hey guys, today my Cera stopped working. I was using my EO cart and sharing it with my friends but for some reason it wouldn't fire up anymore after a few hits. I was wondering why that would be and I also used a fresh battery as well. I don't have a modded switch and my LL cart wouldn't fire up as well anymore. Does this mean my core is faulty? I have never dropped it or damaged mine since using it for the last week or so.

Welcome to the fun, hope everything goes well with yours, my LL has been bulletproof using it every day for about 2 and a half weeks(knock on wood) Its a very efficient little device once you get the hang of it. Also i doubt the wait will be that long, probably closer to 2-4 weeks from how things seem to be going.

As for the momentary side switch, I was wondering how practical that would be because my cera gets quite hot in that area, I'm guessing that slide switch would too?

CG420 i dont think its the core because both arent working, probably the switch or that copper strip. You can see if its the switch by trying this

Sure. Take off the end cap and stuff a walnut size wad of aluminum foil in the end to short the bottom of the battery to the metal ring the end screws into.
