Who here typically uses their cloud above 2 PM? (heat setting of course) - I have started vaping at a bit of a higher temp and I am having trouble going back - I almost feel like noon isn't satisfying anymore. :hmm:

I find my Cloud+ temp at 2:45 was equivalent to my old at around 1:30. That's what I use.

2:45 on my Cloud+. I def can't go lower.

I'm still at noon on my original ticker. Getting fat tasty clouds. I can finish the elb in one but I always hit it twice.

I don't have a Cloud, but the same happened to me with the Solo. I always use it through water and lately I only use it starting at 5 and when the vapor starts to be more whispy I end the sesion with a couple of hits at 7. I remember that at the beggining I usually do 3-5-7

Damn bro - One? you iron lung mofo!

Bo - I am they same way with my solo too - I use it alot now with my HT! I still get cloud with my cloud at noon but for some reason the density isn't doing it for me anymore - almost makes me feel like I need to cough to get off....

Slow and steady on the pull and the elb is filled about half way. I still em amazed at this thing. I will be buying a cloud plus soon. Mine is no longer under warranty because I did the cord mode. All good , I'll have a back up.

So I finally got my new and improved Cloud Plus (2 months in repair! ... however ... it was just timing of things ... no ones fault and I'm very happy to have my first Cloud back since my backup Cloud died shortly after the first). So far so good ... produces equal or better vapor than my last Cloud within <10 minutes. It will produce great vapor within a few minutes, but not up to its full potential until maybe around 10 :)

I'm assuming it's because it's a repair, but the fit/finish isn't perfect as in the metal casing seams aren't joined properly all the way around, the bottom part of the casing was partially cut out and the semi-circle cut looks just sort of broken off but it's at a spot where it really doesn't matter and doesn't cause any issues/problems. As well (like some other members mentioned), my bamboo is slightly too far down so one of my hydratubes didn't seat fully on it leaving an extremely slight air gap. I gave my bamboo a slight nudge upwards and all is good

All-in-all, I'm super happy with the upgrade ... it's super nice that it stays cooler to the touch and heats up quicker and the vapor quality is at least as good! (Nice that in a pinch I could turn on my Cloud and within 3 minutes be vaping if need be as well )

Wow! Around $1000 spent on two vaporizers, both failed and a 2 month repair time for the one unit.
I wouldnt be as supportive as you have been.

I run mine at full tilt all the time and I'm still walking... I prefer combustion emulation though when it comes to vape bonging.

When you say combustion emulation, are you talking about a massive 1 hit cache the elb sorta deal?
Or just referring to vapor density?
Or the effects of the MJ?

Or is it all of the above?

Seriously can't wait for the aus version to come out

will the sold out glass options on the vapexhale website likely be available again? i was hoping to get a glass option of a cylindrical design, not a sherlock style mouth piece. the sherlock style seems to be the only and more expensive options. the vertigo or showerdome would be my pref...any idea?

As far as I know, as of right now the only HydraTube available for purchase that is 'Strait' & not of the 'bent-neck' variation(which is what you are referring to as a sherlock style) .. is the almighty SSFG HydraLine.
This is a fantastic HydraTube though, so if you are set on a strait tube you would likely be pleased with it. I would like to see some more variation, as far as bent-neck & strait mouthpiece options on HydraTubes. Not that big of a deal though (IMO). :spidey: :peace: :2c:

I much prefer the straight tubes, too. The bent necks don't let you "look down at her backside" to watch the vapor fireworks. My eyes are set right on top of the can with the bent necks, so no peep show for me that way.

Having said that, they are great for a mouthpiece on the Devastator. :brow:

Finally got that 2012bc Tophat perc I posted on page 470 in this thread, now just waiting on a custom mouthpiece from Sam at GBD (should be here later this week). 48 holes of gridded diffusion above my Cloud...:D

Still jealous of Bluntcrush's SG HydraTube, the original gridded HT!

Yeah I like to do the two cap method to pack about .1 and then take it all in a big shot of tasty vapor. Pretty much all of the above.

I still run my cloud around 3 most of the time, every now and then (like tonight) I crank it up all the way. BTW I am still using the original two ELB's I received almost a year ago, they last if you take care of them.

My ticker from last August is usually set at 11 or 10:30. Anything above 12 and it is hot as hell...Can't hold it except right at the bottom of the fins. Never tried it in the 2 or 3 range...afraid it would probably combust. But I love this thing and it has performed flawlessly since day one...

Same here, except my old arthritic hands love the heat. For flowers 9-11 is where I'm usually at and noon for hash. My Cloud combusted at 2-3 . . .
Does anybody use any specific tools aside from a qtip when cleaning the bamboo? I was thinking of getting soft bristle brushes that are 18 inches long - maybe its just my OCD but I'm like fuck - I just want to clean in there. I look forward a complete analyses from the king of OCD cleaning - Tdub!
To keep the upper portion of the bamboo clean I use alcohol prep pads and my trusty Skilletools HoneyBun. Use the HoneyBun/prep pad combo to gently ream out the bamboo. slowly increase pressure if necessary but be careful. That baked on ring can be nasty. I use the sharp end and scratch any left overs off like a dental hygienist does to your teeth. I believe Oldie used PBW to good effect as well. Preventative maintenance helps with this area. The bottom section can be cleaned the same way if it needs it.

Cleaning the middle section of the bamboo will require a stopper and a soak. I used ISO and dwell time to flush some abv dust out of there. Obviously proceed with caution and make sure the bamboo is completely free of any residues before turning your Cloud back on.

The alcohol prep pads are also good for wiping down the top and outside of the Cloud as well, handy little things to have around :)
