Hi and welcome to FC folks!! Glad to have you here! Tons of great info here if you poke around.

Glad you got your glass unstuck Lindsey!! That's a great thing ;)

Thank you & MAN don't I know it!!! I was terrified!!! BTW, If I "search" something, it gives me a bunch of entire threads to look through. Am I doing it wrong or do you just read ALL of the pages that are in that thread to find the word you were searching for??? Thank you!!!

Down nearer the bottom of the search form there's a field that says 'show results as' and then has 'topics' as the pre-set. Change this to 'posts' ;)

HELLO ALL

Noobie Vaporist from Midwest USA here. on the 19th, i was talking to a buddy of mine about vaporizers and Dopefiend and he mentioned a special 420 sale on a certain website for the iolite. let me tell you it was a steal. I got the Iolite, a Space Case 4 part medium grinder, the iolite care package, an iScale (digial scale made to look like an iphone), and a plastic grinder, and a 320ml can of vector all for $169. :brow: well, i got it in the mail and now i can officially say i have joined the vapor revolution! i am amazed at how well this thing works. being able to actually taste the bud instead of the smoke; did not get the urge to cough once. it was amazing. well worth the pprice alone.

after i bought it, my buddy told me to drop in here because he hangs out here a lot and says its pretty cool. i have already learned so much about this amazing device.

few details

Turning 25 next weekend (iolite was an early gift from me to me)

I am a software programmer

life is awesome

i am really feeling the effects of this thing so im gonna drop out now...but ill still be lurking

Hello all,

I have owned a MFLB for about a year now, and have lurked here off and on for about the same amount of time. I have contemplated buying a second vape, but after using a friend's EQ I finally made up my mind... time to start saving up duckets for a new purchase.

So, why the EQ? Well, my needs are pretty particular. I am paralyzed from the chest down, and that remote is going to be a huge game changer for me. Muhahaha! While I cannot physically manipulate the remote control, my computer can act as a learning remote! This is going to be hella sweet.

Picture this:

I'm laying in bed at night, I'm having some pain/insomnia, and there is nobody around to help me vape (because I live alone). All I'll need to do is give a voice command to the computer, which will send an IR signal out to the EQ, which will then turn on and start to heat up. I'll make sure that, before the help leaves for the night, they load the cyclone bowl and position the whip close to my mouth. I'll be able to medicate myself as little or as much as needed and then turn the unit off.

Hell yeah. I cannot express how exciting this is for me -- it will be a reclamation of independence. Exciting times, my friends, exciting times!

I have been reading the forum for hours on end the past few days, and greatly appreciate all of the information that has been contributed. I imagine that for some people the forum is a place to learn, for some it is a place to teach, and for others it is a place to socialize. I'm hoping to be able to do all three.

See you on the boards!

Ello ello!

I'm a 31 year old housewife from So Cal, but in the process of selling property so I can move up north somewhere between Eugene, OR and Squamish, BC. I've got two awesome kids and I love animals. I spend lots of time hiking, climbing and just chillin outdoors. Otherwise, I can be found on my laptop when I have free time.

I've been smoking since I was 18. I've been vaping for the last year. I started with an iolite and this past weekend I bought a classic VG. I'm in love with my VG. It's sturdy, and I can use it anywhere. I've yet to use a stationary vaporizer. Don't know if I ever will. I'm kinda partial to small and portable.

This seems to be a lovely community. I'm glad I found you guys. :)

The Professor
Yo Yo Vaporists!

Same story, been lurking!

Tasted my first bud in 1984 and never looked back. I think when it comes to Ganga I have tried every method of consumption. I even tried snorting kief once (it did get me high but man did it hurt). Decided last year to give up combustion and got myself a 1st gen i-Inhale. I like it ok, but too slow! I like the quick rush from smoking a bowl; no patience to wait 5 minutes for heat up. So next I tried the Vapor Genie which is faster, but hard to control, too much combustion happening.

I know I should go for a full size rather than portable, but family situation calls for ultimate discretion there-for I have stuck with portables. I think my next acquisition will be a MFLB which seems like maybe just the ticket.

Thanks to everyone here for such a great source of information!

PEACE

Hello everybody! New member here, lurked the forum during past few days cause I am an enthusiast newbie of vaporization :D Bought myself an Herborizer for my RooR gong and kissed goodbye combustion, at least while home :p Planning on buying a launch box to treat me well also when I'm not home and I like very much how PD looks too, but I think that already having an Herborizer will make it almost useless. I've been a quite heavy smoker in last 3 years, everyday me and my girlfriend smoked our lovely roor, but combustion started to annoy me, the smell, the ashes and cough too contributed to make me think about vapor. I'm under the 30ies but I figured out that if I wanted to keep tasting and relaxing in the years to come I should have gotten rid of those nasty combustion complications...and another thing that convinced me to cross over is the fact that ABV is not useless like ashes, it can be cooked! So I started to save it for another purpose, great! And I read also that condensation oil can be turned in very good cream. What can I ask more?
I happily noticed also that the effects of vaporized herbs are more powerful when vaporized, that's crazy, normally I wouldn't have thought that. You start to feel that strange aroma that you never tasted before, then you realize that's the Real and actual herb aroma, that you never tasted because of smoke. Then you start asking yourself if that is actually going to give you a good feeling and just as you think about that you realize that, yes...it definitely works xD
Hope to keep learning and sharing info on this community for a better experience for everyone!

Hi All,
Ive been a long time lurker and have finely joined the forum. Id like to give a sincere Thank You to the members on this forum for sharing their experiences, advice and very concise reviews.

I was a smoker for 30+ years and now a vaporist for1 years. Wish I would have learned about vaporizing years ago as it is very satisfying in all aspects.
Im 50 years young and had never even heard of vaporizing, other than e-cigs, until a couple of years ago when I caught a TV episode of Manswers (spike tv). They showed using a whip and a bag type.
For me, it was quite an eye opener and I was very intrigued.

None of my friends had ever vaped and very few had ever heard of it. Ive always tried to keep an open mind about things, but I was skeptical.
I mean, over the past 35 years Ive seen some heavy tokers, smoking out of all kind of things, pipes, bongs, homemade gadgets, you name it, but no vapes!

So I started to check it out and I couldnt believe how many different types, styles and Mfgs that are out there. I did some research and purchased my first vape, SSV back in December of 2009. Thats all it took to get the ball rolling and ever since Ive been totally hooked on vaping, experimenting with and collecting different vapes.

I combusted a little a few months ago with a friend and couldnt handle the harsh smoke and nasty taste , yes Im spoiled with flavor vapor!
I also, just 3 1/2 months ago, quit smoking cigars and have supplemented that with the electric ego cig. Its great to be 100% smoke free!

Now that I have some first hand experience with a few different vapes hopefully I can help out some others down the road.
Again, thanks to all for helping educate me.
