Arizer Solo

I've been using the solo for like 2 weeks now, and I have to say it's very nice.
I wasn't able to substitute it for combustion completely though, I usually do a few vape sessions and then roll one. Still I hope with time I'll be able to drop it.
I have to say that pipe screens are a must for me - I kept eating a lot of particles without them.
I just bought some stock pipe screens and domed them on my pinky - they work great.
I have some questions on the usage I couldn't resolve just by browsing the thread.
I have experimented a bit with temperature settings, and my current mode is to start at 3. and do a whole 12 minute session. Then I switch to 5 and do it for ~ 5 minutes.
I have a question that might sound a bit silly, but: how do you guys know when you are done with a stem?
As long as there is some visible vapor on exhale it's obvious, but should I stop drawing when there is no more visible vapor, or should I continue still (implying some of the vapor is trasnparent).
Obviously the taste gets milder and milder so at the end I find it hard to tell if I'm just feeling the hot dry air or the cannabinoids.
I saw people stating they get as much as 3x12 min. sessions out of one stem, so it would seem I'm only getting half of my solo capabilities.

Cleaning the stems with hot milk seems like a nice way to recycle.
Can someone point me to an explanation of the ISO/dab thing, as I don't get what it's about.
Also I've read some people suggesting smoking the already vaped herb. It seems to me this would not be effective since most of the active ingredients should be vaporized, but maybe I'm wrong. Opinions?

You can smoke it and still get high!
Many do!
But you won't get a "good" taste.
Still, if you are a smoker just use it in a joint, but if you don't smoke anymore you can also use it to make eatables, making butter with it, used to prepare the same like weed cake or chocolate bonbons and the like.
IMO, I would bet that Arizer is working on improving the present day Solo, but not drastically. It costs alot of $ in research/development to even invent/create such a product and if the Extreme is any indication, after their first major revision it has pretty much remained status quo for years now. The Solo has now dropped from when it was first released (I paid nearly $300) to $160, so this tells me that soon there may be an updated Solo, which would demand $200+ again. Anyone can guess to the revisions, but i'd say it would be something like a better battery, or charge dock...along those lines.
As for branding, I do know for a fact that Arizer likes to keep a low profile, and just like the Extreme, I doubt they will ever do that. IMO it doesn't need it, and I don't want it..... their branding lies in the fact that a Solo and Extreme are easily indentifiable as Arizer products, since they only have those two vaporizers.
I could be wrong, because this could be it....the nice folks who own Arizer are in their later 40's now I believe, and having lived abroad before they might be considering retirement and living off the fruits of their labour.
Absolutely edibles....but absolutely NO to smoking it! SOOOOOO grosss...tried it once when I first starting vaping with a V-tower nearly 7 years ago and almost puked. I also didn't think it got me high whatsoever. But edibles on the other hand......my god....please be careful! lol
I dump my ABV though, simply because I hate an ABV edible high (feels weird, like lots is missing).

You might be right there!
Small improvements are done all the time I guess.
Might just be that they come with a totally different kind of portable as the techniques to make those things smaller and more efficient is progressing very rapidly.
The question was if it still would get you high and my experience was that it still gets you high.
But it tastes horrible, I have to agree, but if you smoke it to get high: it does!

Yep I know, but you where talking what to do with ABV and I thought the question was right. In fact is one more option for ABV, but I understand how this works

I did try it - I was unable to assess the high effect.
However the taste of a vaped herb, tobacco and some leftover fresh herb mix didn't taste that bad.
It wasn't too good, but it only had a mild tar taste.

Difference might be in the way I vape.
I empty my stem after a few puffs, so not waiting until there is no more vape at all.
I could imagine that if you do a full 12 mins with one stem, what is left over will be less potent than what I used after just some tokes with the vaporizer.

i get 2 full 12 minute sessions out of a stem and when i turn it off its still giving off thick vapor, but i guess if ur reusing ur mj after u vaoe it than it makes sense not do a full session
Are you using lower temps? I have never had more than a 12 min. sesh outta a full stem, and typically it's cached well before then. I do have freakish 7+liter lungs though, that may explain some of our variations. So many variables....lung size, temp, hit size, flower dryness, load, grind, etc.

I cough like crazy when I've tried to smoke.
Vaporizing is the most effective with my condition.
Edibles give the wrong effect for my situation.
Vaping Flowers with a SOLO and Concentrates with a PERSEI work very well for me medically speaking!
Once Flowers are Vaped they are disposed of.
Flavor should not be compromised!

I have nothing to back it up other than hearsay, so it should be considered rumor at this point, but I have seen reference to a possible smaller solo in the future in a couple of places over the past week or so.

ataxian I do clean most of my stuff in iso and that is fine. I am confused why you don't understand what I am trying to do. I know I am not clear sometimes. All I am doing is letting one stem get oily to try the hot chocolate. I have never reclaimed before so will have to go look at the threads about what to do with it. I am not going to do anything like qwiso or bho and blow myself up hehe. I don't think there is enough oil in stems to actually make edibles unless you are making a single serve of something.
The other thing that may be confusing you is that I am ordering regular drinking straws and trying to mod them for the solo and the INH just for a longer glass air path.
