What type of wood is the 5th one in the lineup? (the one to the right of the can) That grain is beautiful

Looks like you guys are fond of the Blue Mahoe as usual. Too bad not all of it has the contrasting heartwood/sapwood.. the majority of it only has the darker wood. That specific piece was a custom one that cracked and has been reborn as a Lost Dog.

The dark red goblet piece (if you mean that one AA) is Jatoba and was also a custom piece that cracked and is reborn.

Woot, new dogs! :brow:

Nice to see some dog porn again dude

That last one looks a bit like an odd colored Ambrosia Maple, but it's probably something I've never heard of instead

To the guys that are messing around with 18 to 14mm reducers and a waterpipe adapter; why don't you just get a 18mm waterpipe adapter?

i was thinking the same thing OTA but i called up my LHS and they said they have some 18/14 low pro reducers in stock. at the moment i have an 18/14 downstem that im going to try to break cleanly at the GonG area today but we'll see how that goes :uhoh: i saw an 18mm waterpipe adapter on Vapeworld but im kinda afraid it'll restrict airflow, which is something i definitely don't want to do. what do you fellow UD's with some more glass experience than me think? i want to be able to use my new bubb to the fullest and throw up a worthy video to show you guys!

edit: just realized that FC members get a 12% discount with Vapeworld AND they have free shipping. if i get the thumbs up from you guys, i'll probably just grab an adapter from here.

The new dogs look great! If only money grew on trees...

I have been using my UD in the kitchen the past few days. It just looks so nice on the counter. I even used the diffuser! Who knew!?!? Smells great and is totally discreet and beautiful.

Unfortunately, with young kiddos, I am gonna have to move it back to it's dog house in the garage :ninja:. It was a nice treat while they were away and I will be taking it on future walks to the kitchen in the future!

Yeah, it will reduce airflow, but so will a 14mm adapter I reckoned. It'll work ok if you don't use a to short piece of tubing with it so the screen is a little further away from the adapter though.

But yeah, that's the reason I don't use those adapters :)

I've bought some to try them out but that didn't last long. I'm pretty hard to please though.

You could try different ones if your set on using an adapter, since there are several different kinds on the market. Does anyone know how much the 7thfloor ones restrict the airflow perhaps?

I do have one of those low profile reducers too btw. I picked one up in a headshop in Hamburg not to long ago, but I don't have a 18mm piece yet, lol

Ive used an 18mm 7th floor adapter quite a lot with a friends DBV and his 7th floor bub... yes it does restrict a little, but not as much of a choke as that ^^ one looks to be. Might be worth a shot with the UD! I wonder if the end will fit right into the UD stem too... now that'd be nifty.

Cool, thanks for sharing that

As for making it fit; I found that a little heat to make the silicon more pliable (just stick it on a hot UD to heat it up) and some water as lubrication go a long way ;)

Dave...I'm sober and the first thing I thought when I saw that pic was 'he's making them look like coke cans!'

maybe I need a t-break.

Nice looking wood!

Thanks guys glad you like all the new pieces.. the last one on the right that a few of you like is a cool darker than normal Ambrosia Maple that I've been playing with. Purdy eh? Also have lots of other nice stuff that I'll be getting into here shortly.. :o

Woke up in the middle of the night, a wave of nausea was just beginning to kick my ass. I quickly grabbed my nearest loaded stem of blueberry something or another (what's in a name, anyways?), and after a few puffs, blissful relief was soon to follow. I was able to sleep the rest of the night, quite well actually. Thanks for being there when I need you UD

MJ has proven to be the most effective nausea treatment that I've ever experienced. I remember one time at work that I had sinusitis, which lead to a strong headache, which lead to nausea. I was taking pills since the morning for the nausea (I can function with just a headache, but nausea makes me totally nonfunctional). Nothing seemed to work, and at launch time, the smell of everything made me puke, and puke, and puke. Of course I called the day off, but still I had a nausea-plagued way to home. Lucky I had my MFLB fully loaded, so while waiting for the bus I finished the trench, and oh boy, nausea was gone, an even some of the headache, and the pain on the face too, I was blown away, lol.

Anyway, my (first) Dog is now on its way! I bought DrPiff's Basswood Twig :) Now I just have to wait while it arrives to its new home. Funny thing is that I also bought a SSV two weeks ago, but for some reason I felt the need to grab another one.

One quick question, is there any kind of car adapter or some king of mod so I can also use the dog while on the road? :p

hey guys i may be having a medicated moment but is there a general consensus on the depth of the screen in the thick wall silicone stem or is it just trial and error depending on the power supply.

For me it depends more on the size of the bowl you normally load. Whatever works best for you, really.

actually, I never really noticed any difference from where the screen is. maybe slight difference, but not enough to conclusively say I noticed it.

So I got my dog back yesterday from Dave. All I have to say is holy SHIT! I coughed so hard I puked! I'm in love with my puppy. It's been running for about 18 hours and if it continuously produces the clouds it is I'm never turning it off. Thanks Dave!

i have to add that i just shifted the screen up (closer to the heat core) about 2.5mm and loaded about 65% of the normal. for me, the difference it makes is incredible, milks a lot faster but on a heavy pull, i can feel the vapor is harsher too.
