Totally, I've caught myself driving with the glass stem chilling in my hand or mouth as I wait for it to cool. With the Davinci, you could just throw the entire device in your pocket or glove box.

Bottom line when choosing which one to buy is your lifestyle. Like you said, for most 4 sessions is plenty to get buy until they return home to re-charge. But for others, that just won't be enough battery life.

this is off topic but what device are you holding in your hand in your avatar?

I look forward to reviewing the DaVinci. One of the things that stuck me as interesting in your video is how close to a joint your hit look. Even the draw method. I am pleased you can charge and use the unit. I have never gotten myself in a situation where I can't use my Solo but I have been charging it and just used other devices instead.

thanks again for the video it is fantastic.

My Video review of the Da Vinci and comparison to the Solo:

Thanks for that Vapor Thompson, those 2 vapes are some of my options for my next portable. Still colecting funds, and while i'm doing that, i am educating myself with a few choices.

Your review was great, although the davinci size has me very interested. I understand the flavour is pretty much the same, with a slight win in the solo but not by much.

The DaVinci vapes while plugged in or just on battery mode? Does it work, plugged in and no battery?

Sluffy, I PM'd you about the DaVinci issue.
All of our DaVincis are hand assembled, so once in awhile there is an issue. Give us a call and we'll replace it under warranty and overnight you a replacement.

Vapor Thompson, thanks for the video review. I'm a little biased in the one I like best, but thanks for a balanced dogfight review :)

Welcome to the forums. I know at 10 inches the VaporBlunt is more of a VaporSteamRoller. I just decided in the long run that this product looks like it fits my needs way more then the VaporBlunt would. I am looking forward to recieving it. I got a call from EZVapes.com customer service. They called to let me know it was back ordered and I should receive my in an extra day or two because they are waiting on their new inventory to arrive.

Sweet, please provide feedback, the DaVinci certainly looks the part of being a dependable Vaporizer.

Sorry to be a pest but I really think that the lack of other payment methods than credit card is a real downer. I plan on never owning a credit card, and I've gotten about just fine without one online since I've always been able to find a retailer who will accept another form of payment or let me send them an email money transfer, but right now there is no way to buy a davinci through any other means than credit card. Both the karma site and vaporstore only take credit card. My arizer is dying a slow painful death and it needs to be replaced soon and if I can't get the davinci I'll just have to buy another arizer instead.

Is there ANY other way we can purchase a DaVinci other than a plastic debtrap??

Hello CentiZen I just scrolled passed your comment and wanted to clarify that VaporStore does accept Checks and Money Order payments as well as direct bank transfer/deposit. Please let us know where you heard or read we only accept Credit Card, thank you=)

I use a standard piece of silicon tubing over the tip of the straw w/ a male 18mm
gong fitting at the other end....

I may have selected the Solo in this video, but many will prefer the Davinci. I just added this text to the video descripton:
Which one do I like better? Watch the video and see. I make the call on the one I like best, but to each is own. Depending on your vaping style, the other may fit you better. Both are very solid devices and worth the money. If you are one that is looking for a nice session on the way to and from work on the go while chucking your device into your glove box, then the Davinci is for you. But if you require several sessions through out your day without a place to recharge, then the Solo is for you.

This bears notice and repeating:
Buying from any ebay or amazon reseller that isn't us, may lead to warranties not being honored. Our official amazon store is DaVinciVape and our official EBay seller name is karmaclsc.

Unfortunately quite a few resellers have decided to violate their reseller agreements limiting them from selling in these two channels. We're in the middle of terminating shipments to them through our main distributors. They are also reselling way below MAP agreement levels. While we stand behind our product and are proud of our warranty, we cannot allow unauthorized resellers to diminish our brand and engage in unfair pricing strategies that undermine our resellers who are abiding by their reseller agreements. We don't want to punish consumers who aren't aware that they are buying from an unauthorized dealer and we don't want our reputations diminished.

If you have any questions about the validity of a reseller, email me any time.

For those who are just selling a DaVinci they've already purchased, we don't have any issues with that as long as it is sold/listed as a used davinci and not a new one.

Thanks.

Do you have a list of authorized realtors on your website? I ordered from EZVapes.com and am still waiting on my vaporizer to arrive. I assume they are not one of the ones you are talking about. It should be here in a few days. I am looking forward to reviewing it for my site.

EZvapes.com is fine. Any other website is fine, such as gotvape, vapornation, vaporstore, puffitup, etc.

The main ones we're having problems with are the undercutters on Ebay and amazon. Everyone else is just fine :)

Vapor, great follow up! Funny since your follow up is precisely what i think the biggest differentiatior between this and the solo, it's much more pratical!

The Solo might win taste wise (although this is not unanimous.) and battery wise although not by much and for some the 7 presets VS the digital temp readout are not a big plus for the DaVinci, but the size and the fact that it is much more easy for the mobile vaporist while maintaining the confort this type of portable gives.

Quick Follow up on the Davinci I shot on a hike today:

Haha! Dude, you crack me up VST! "Hello, hello, vapour s. thompson, VST, in the place to be, see, ya" lol!!!!! Where was that?

The only problem that I can see, and favouring the Solo, is if you had to re-load. With the DV, wouldn't you have to take out a stash, and then reload the chamber, handling herb, etc. Whereas with the Solo you could just have a few preloaded stems ready to go. I guess it just depends on how much material you wanna vape during your hike.

Love your reviews bro!

V4L, although carrying preloaded stems is quicker to reload, i find it would be better to carry a small stash box with grinded material and reload it when the chance for it presented itself instead of carry 2-3 glass stems on a hike.

True, guess it's just preference, and there are pros and cons for both. Nice to have the options, especially with the mivape and puffit out later this year. Good times.

Let us not forget, the Davinci has an onboard refill area. It holds at least 2 decent sessions
worth. But hey, I do short sessions. One could always go with the pre-filled straw carrier as
mentioned by others.....I am not interested in the weight of the Solo, or the glass stems
when doing outdoor activities..... The Davinci easily holds enough energy for 3-4 sessions
before recharging. This has been my experience, I digress.

Is it pratical, that refill area? I mean, it looks as though there is a somewhat high risk of the herb going from the refill area to the ground instead of to the bowl or at least, dificult to size up how much to put in.

I just did a test. If you carefully open the refill area and gently tap on the side of the lid, nothing spills on the floor. You can also use the metal end of the supplied brush to slowly guide some into the chamber. I still have enough in there for another full bowl.

It can be tricky getting a firm grip on the "handle" to open the storage area. If the herb is
ground well, all one must do to refill is tilt the vape away from the storage chamber and the
herb spills out into the heat chamber. I would not try this at 60 mph on the 405, but it is
easily done. Tap lightly on the side of the vape to encourage the herb out of the storage
and into the crucible. I dig the Solo for home use, for me, the Davinci trumps it on the road....

edit: I see this is a common approach....
