I'm confused as well. The PD stem fits airtight into a 14mm GonG connection, you can eliminate tubing like that completely.

On the other hand you could throw some appropriate tubing onto the stem and attach a GonG adaptor to the other end to attach to the bong/bubbler. IMO if you're gonna go with GonG anyways its worth looking for a 14mm connection (or buying a reducer, i.e. 18mm>14mm) so you can plug the PD right into your piece. :2c:

Edit: you can buy tubing, without any attachments, from retailers like 7th Floor or US Plastics....they don't necessarily come with a mouthpiece.

Of course it is, but folks panic and think this forum might bring a quicker answer. Of course the forum can't answer tech/warranty questions. I thnk I just answered the same querry via e-mail.

It's one of those older units that were assembled when I was working at 3-6 inches with cataracts (since repaired with implants). Probably a bad solder joint, though twisting the heat exchanger can break wires or cause a short.

No it is not normal, for the heat exchanger to move, and they are not delivered that way (moving). The clip should be re-seated with a tool we provide or can mail to you on request.

Because i use it for medical purposes I thought it was worth a shot to see if any other PD users had any suggestions or a quick fix. I was hoping not to bother you or Pammy, I know your both very busy folks.

I received a lightning quick response from Pammy with instructions to return for repairs via email and the unit has already been shipped off to be repaired!

This is one of the older units. I purchased mine directly from Tom and Pammy.

Such great service and attitude! Thanks again both of you! These little guys are not just for entertainment. It has become an invaluable medical device for me and I took it for granted a little until it died the other day :)

Mine was here almost 2 years ago, but I'm still excited for you guys.

I remember when I emptied out my first tube and I looked at the amount of ABV, and I was like...... :o !

And every once in awhile, I still do that.

I get more stoked every day I use the purple-days!

Today I used a very very tiny amount and got maximum effect....extreme

ANd three ohter hits....how is it possible?

.... slow draw heats faster than hard draw....more surface are and light load

The less dense the load the better and softer draw the better....thing is awesome!

Like a new world.....new.....world

vapor rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!oh does it rule hard

HARD!!!!!!!!!!!ANd it hits so hard....all vapes are most likely like this....must get the technic

And its the dedication to non-toxic that makes purple-days.....keeping the process close and giving away the plans are alsol cool moves and Tom has proven he's right

Its true and we get it now......this is the future

Glad to have it....it never turns off

Thanks Purple-days!

Love the buzz butter man

Just knowing about "buzz butter" is worth the $180.... It goes on everything!

Better yet build the kit....it will open your mind to the possibilities!

A decent copy of Buzz-Butter is easy to make at home. :buzz:

Most sewing / fabric stores carry bee's wax in one ounce sticks. Of course you pay a premium for such small quantities, but you won't need 50 pounds*. Just combine with Oil, about 5 parts oil to 4 parts wax. Or just a little more oil than wax. ie. 1oz. wax yields 2 oz. Buzz-Butter... We use organic Flax oil, organic Hempseed oil, and organic Coconut oil. But you can just use vegatable oil out of your kitchen. We also add natural Rosemary oil extract, an anti oxidant for extended shelf life, but small batches won't need this. Combine heat til wax is melted, cool and use. Test on surfaces before using, it will penetrate and change the wood color if the wood is permeable. Same for leather. Use and enjoy .

Woodworking is fun.

Nice stuff to work with, I had to find a use for the other 1/2 stick.

Just polished my log :brow: :uhoh:

It's lookin' nice! I'm loving this thing. I'm glad I got the Black Walnut. Loving the dark wood. Vapes nice. Still seeing some green in my spent loads, but I'm sure it will eventually run a little warmer. Could also be learning curve. Either way. I'm very happy with my purchase. I got blitzed last night. :ko:

Beautiful unit up there, and the stem/pencil/whatever holder as well. Gorgeous grain.

Try drawing slower, CJ. Slow enough that you feel that you are barely breathing in.

Thanks lwien! I'll give that a try when I get home. That's how I hit my MFLB, so it makes sense.
